So, coming back to this, I just wanna sing some praises and mention something that has been on my mind about this theme for a while now. Echoing what another comment said, this theme somehow manages to perfectly capture the essence of insanity in a harmonic format. Each and every instrument is in a completely different key, but each instrument is also just as unique to each other that it cancels out what would normally result in absolute ear pain instead of a song, and creates an artificial harmony that otherwise wouldn't be present. This manner of composition results in an auditory depiction of what insanity is: A broken mind putting itself back together with pieces that shouldn't fit, but somehow do, and when it's all said and done, those pieces actually work fine, but at the cost of a lack of coherency. Just like this song.
As for what has been on my mind about this song, it's actually more-so about what the potential of this song was. Sure, it works amazingly as a Boss Theme for an unstable character in an arcade style shoot-em-up, but the way the composition of the piece was formulated also seems to fit right at home as a very different type of theme: The chase theme of a horror game's deadliest threat. I mean think about it, it has every staple of a standard chase theme. It has a stinger like intro that heightens the tension to warn you of your upcoming doom, a more percussion focused main sequence that echoes your frantic heartbeat and pounding footsteps as the chase goes on, and a more stable melody to bring you hope of escape before crushing it almost immediately afterwards. Hell, near the middle of the song it uses the sound of an early 2000's cellphone ringtone that isn't answered, a common trend in chase themes, where the composer uses household objects and distorts them to add to the theme's tension and uneasiness. It's just perfect for anything related to being pursued by a threat that is so monstrous that even the player themselves doesn't know if they'll be able to get away alive.

This is, without a doubt, the most intimidating, unnerving, and downright terrifying musical composition that I have ever heard. The amount of insanity that this piece gives out... Never before have I felt so threatened by a song. And I absolutely love it for that.

At the end of EE, it's revealed that Tsurubami was disguised as Tsubakura, and now at the end of this, Suzumi was disguised as Tsurubami.
When I first saw that fight, I thought "Wait... If Tsurubami is back, does that mean Len'en is over? Does everyone get to go home now?"

I particularly find it interesting how Suzumi even came to find out about Tsurubami (their motives, spells, etc), since their EE fight takes place *after* BPoHC, meaning Tsuru was already in the outside world by the time Suzumi entered Mugenri

I would like to thing that Suzumi hates Tsubakura because they took Tsurubami's place. Considering Suzumi disguised as Tsurubami, there has to be a reason behind that. Maybe Suzumi and Tsurubami were friends or something and then Tsubakura was the reason Tsurubami was never around anymore?

Well, in the game she says that Kurohebi is her daughter and of Tsubakura's, if she isn't joking that may be te reason why Suzumi wants Tsubakura to suffer.
@Junko Suzumi seems like the kind of the person that replaces the word "hate" for "love" without any reason, i suspect that she was in a relationship of some sort with Tsubakura because how much they say they love Tsuba.

I was just looking at Suzumi's talk sprites in the game's files, and I noticed a mysterious shadow shaped vaguely like a person to the right of them, barely perceptible, though obvious once I darkened the image and put it against a white backround. I wonder if it's supposed to mean something.

This theory kind of falls apart when you consider that Haiji and Xeno, two characters that Suzumi doesn't really have any reason to interact with, have coherent memories of Tsurubami before Suzumi even entered their world.

I saw the fight proper tho. It's legitimately freaky, and reading up on Suzumi themself and how adept they are at psychologically torturing others doesn't really help. Hence, me claiming this part to be horror game-like.
Technically Len'en is a fan game too, though it seems to be moving towards being its own thing.

According to the wikia , it can;t be considered a fan game due to it having its own cast of characters and also it occurs in a totally different universe that is different from gensokyo

I agree with that and imo I like Ardey more than Hamee because:
1. He want end this "cat-and-mouse" game
2. He *stopped* Hamee(why am I want to call her "Ham") from *killing* hot dude Hooaka, I mean they needed to make message w/o some corpses lying around
3. He also understands the consequences of their actions and in fact they can't kill anybody on following script (for e.g Clause). So if they kill someone that would be pain.

Ah yeah. Personalities from what can I remeber can have various genders so that's why I headcanon Ardey as a guy and Ham as a girl. Even tho physically.......
@@misery_shun I have a multi-gendered headcanon too; and I guess you know he doesn't actually swear in that scene, it was translated like that for tone and now it's a meme.
Really, we get more characterization of Ardey than of Hamee, and that makes him more interesting to me (plus I'm fairly convinced he's actually the dominant personality, if not the original). The only person he's really sadistic towards is Tsubakura, because she's implied to have wronged him somehow; and he seems fine to let Hamee loose on the rest of the Outside Worlders, presumably for their involvement with Tsuba. While he's not the sadistic psychopath everyone thought he is, Ardey's worst traits that we see are vengefulness and manipulativeness, and he still has standards within those. Contrast Hamee who's an actually sadistic homicidal maniac.

It would be pretty sad if everybody you know is suffering or dead(though I think suffering friend is worser than dead friend imo, especially if you can't help with their suffering or maybe I'm just an uwful supporter). Like for e.g. Shitodo simblings who unlike our plain Yabusame don't have immunity to their ability and I believe that Tsuba and Yabu know Shitodos in childhood(somewhere around age of 4-6 years presumably they met Kuroji(8-9) or/and Hoojiro(11-12) first). And I agree with that in fact Ardey is more dominant than Hamee.

I'm pretty sure that Jyn X said something about how the next game would give Tsubakura an even rougher time than they were given in this game, so I'd say it's more likely that we're going to be getting their backstory, if anyone's.
In the Shitodo's scenario, Suzumi says that they want to see Tsubakura despair. Apparently the only time Tsubakura was truly upset was the day her mother died so Suzumi wants to destroy Tsubakura's life in order to invoke a similar reaction. She's just plain insane. (Also, Suzumi wants to kill Yabusame and the Shitodos too)
