A friend of mine translated the dialogue for the shrine team's encounter, and I'll just say that the song is perfectly fitting for the situation. Both Yabusame and Tsubakura seem to... *really* have it out for them.
What could they have possibly done to get on Tsuba's nerves that much?

BPoHC is proving to me that Jyn'x is very nearly on par with ZUN. This OST is absolutely amazing.
My head says JynX just decided that "Memory Pursuit" fits her second theme better.
My heart says that it was an attempt at making Suzumi's power break the fourth wall. "Her theme was never called that -- what are you talking about?"

Favorite thing about Len'en is that it looks all cute and cartoon-y but all of the music goes fucking *hard*

Suzumi is already such an interesting character to me~ I can't really read much Japanese, but from what I can tell they seem to know Yabusame and Tsubakura already? Daaaaamn, I'm excited to know what the dialogue says so I can find out as much as I can~! (I do know that more will be revealed in the full version I think? So exciting~)
As for the battle, I've only done it on Easy mode, but their first spellcard is already hard to keep up with, and their survival is.....a thing.....that I experienced..... ^^;
-others saying "she" or "he"....but I decided to take the middle road and use "they"~ I guess that's just how it is~-

FantasyInaba Actually, Suzumi is from the same outside world that Yabusame, Tsubakura and the rest of the EE cast (with the exception of Tsurubami) are from. Suzumi found a way to come to Mugenri about half a year after the rest, much to Tsubakura's chagrin. It seems that they are quite homicidal, which they hide behind an effeminate speech pattern.
I know no-one really asked, but I think Suzumi in BPoHC is probably Tsurubami in disguise:
-They say that how they got into Mugenri is a 'trade secret'; as far as we know there isn't any way to get into Mugenri without being able to control or enter the barrier
-Their scarf has the eye symbol on it that's also on Fake!Tsubakura's hat and on Tsurubami's real hat in EE, implying that Tsurubami's diguises always have the symbol on them somewhere
-Shion says that they smell funny, and can't understand why they smell the way they do, and even after the fight is over says unusually seriously that they can't understand Suzumi, which is strange for a character who can usually get a read on anyone's personality through their smell. (Likely because Suzumi's smell doesn't match the persona they're putting on)
-When Yabusame and Tsubakura defeat Suzumi, they ask why they have been so brutal; to which Tsubakura replies "You know [what you did] better than anyone else", but Suzumi goes on to claim that they don't know what they did - and indeed, if it's Tsurubami in disguise, they really wouldn't know and would be surprised to have elicited such a strong reaction from the usually stoic Tsuba
-The reason Tsurubami would be disguised as Suzumi is the same reason in EE, to give the characters something to fight them over. My likely expectation is that Tsurubami met Suzumi and was able to tell that Tsubakura and Yabusame would have beef with them, and so took on the disguise to test their abilities (since they're meant to be in full swing doing the shrine's duties by now). I expect real Suzumi is also in Mugenri now too, since they supposedly acted as an informant for the New Emperor team.

but, aren't tsurubami's abilities bounr by ink... or letter, idk the word they use.
what i mean is, all of its abilities, even the one they use when disguised as tsubakura (which in turn are based on other Bosses of EE with their ability to raise potential and use said potential on their own) are bhound on the Black and White danmaku, probably a reason why it was easy for them to disguise as Tsuba.
i know its a nitpicky detail but it's something i consider.
and besides, didnt tsuba say outloud that Suzumi betrayed and tried to kill them? that would be enough reason for them to be brutal on Suzumi.

In my opinion, Suzumi would have looked scarier in the ex stage if they had kept the blue eyes.
Red eyes = evil has been overdone. I feel that icy blue eyes that stare into your soul would fit better for this type of character, but that's just me~

Apparently she is a human aquitance of Yabusame and Tsubakura. Also, Tsuba is downright terrified of him/her. And Suzumi seems to be a sadist that speaks effeminate, like Yuuka.

In opposite to other themes in the demo, this theme become so memorable instant I heard it. It definetly was one of the first themes JynX did for this project. Definetly one of JynX's best compositions~

I wouldn't be surprised if she appears as midboss of the extra stage (or maybe even as the boss). Also, her gimmick is really weird. It's like Reisen except harder.

This kinda sucks. I unlocked Suzumi and now I can't seem to fight Sese or Lumen anymore.

You can fight Sese or Lumen if you take the Neutral Path in a Stage 3 area that is not Senri Shrine, from what I've tested of course.
I bet Suzumi really LOVEs Tsubakura, so much that they want to squeeze them to death!
Remember, LOVE comes best from friends that want to squeeze you to death!

Well, that was the demo where it showcased all 3 stage bosses (minus emperor's route bosses, Iyo and Tsugumi), and since Suzumi has the power of bullshit, they appeared here in the demo

Well, it's definetly a best title in the demo, maybe besides 'Nightmare Syndrome' because of how well it fits the song.

do people seriously find suzumi that hard? i mean yeah some of her attacks are pretty scary but shes really not that hard. well, atleast on normal. maybe theres like a huge difficulty spike between the difficulties or something

Choose Tsubakura/Yabusame/Shion shot type, go straight until stage 3, keep going straight, but must be at the exact center.

You also must beat all characters prior to that.

I got him/her with Team Tsugumi/Fumikado/Iyozane.
Don't you just go straight only? It doesn't matter if you beat the other bosses or not just go dead on straight
