Am I the only one here who finds Shion to be just plain adorable? I mean, she's still definitely powerful, but it doesn't compare to the cuteness levels. In my opinion, at least.

It's not as finalish, but it doesn't need to be, Fumikado did this job already.
This theme is probably one of the most artistic and different themes I've heard, what is suiting for what Shion and Harujion is. Even the battle suits it, the more you die the more powerful the boss is, till the moment you've died so many times you cannot beat her (I think? I wasn't paying so much attention to the battle).
Also, it's amazing how much this theme changes JinX style, the other theme like Iyozane's did that before, but this is just wow.
You wrote my exact thoughts on this theme.
To me Shion is like Yuyuko + Koishi, her idea is pretty interesting as some of her concepts (Atitude, actions, and overall concept) seem to borrow a lot from Yuyuko. However, I see some Koishi as well with the idea of her cheery personality combined with the fact that ghosts she uses are named after "Id, Ego, and Superego".
In general, this character scares me in a good way. Which is pretty impressive for an infant.
To be totally fair, that exact spellcard derives from freud's theory and ACTUALLY depict how id-ego-superego dynamic nicely. And yes, she also takes some psychology refference like koishi does, they take the refference from the psychology, not shion takes refference from koishi. All being said, both are cool characters

Len'en has stated that all characters in these games can either be girl or boy, their genders are ambiguous. It is now canon in my mind that all characters are male in these games. Even Shion.
Damn, talk about a long final boss theme. I guess my friends weren't lying when they said that Shion's theme was long. Most final boss themes are 2-3 minutes long. Shion just says "fuck that, I'll make mine 5 minutes long." It sounds good, though!

this part arrived when shion started their finall spellcard and ended when i beat shion,speak of great timing.
i'll never EVER forget that moment in my life.
For me it was 3:23,jeez i never had goosebumps on a game before but this timing while seeing their spell becoming more and more hard to dodge,gosh.

First, I thought losing all your lives on Shion even when hidden would still force you to use a continue. It's sad. The ambiance of doom would have really played out if that was the case.
Actually the soul mechanic makes sense in the case of Shion, She feeds on you only if she runs out of souls to eat. So, the feeling of doom is shown by your souls slowly being consumed and if you didn't collect as many souls as possible, that feeling the doom is tripled because you have barely any time to finish the boss fight and since you cannot use a continue as losing causes a secondary ending, you have to go through the game again to try again at getting the best ending.
I prefer this Shion over Touhou Shion.

Why everyone compares her to Yuyuko? I don't get it. The only similarities are; they are both final bosses, they both like flowers, they both have pink hair. That's it. Shion is entirely different besides that, her theme is different, her motivations are, her role too.
If I make another pink haired character I rip-off from Yuyuko than? This is more absurd than RMI's Absurd Extra.

i am new to len'en i have completed 1-3 and im gonna wait to play len'en 4 (no spoilers pls) i think my favorite so far is yabusame. they are a goofy flufball. i also like sukune and jun. suzumi is like the len'en version of yuuka which i love too

About this theme. I think it's not the best final theme out there (That honour goes to Prayer Player) but it has sense of uregency she basically stole your life and making you relay on those points thingies that annoyed me during the demo...

i dont think she steals your life, but rather whenever she attacks you, she's not actually doing energy but absorbing the spirits you've bottled up, and they serve as a sort of safeguard against her attacks
not sure why the battle ends when you reach 0 souls though

Well, stage 6 is like a bonus stage.
It's not the extra stage, but a really strange final stage boss.
You LITERALLY cannot die in the fight.
The spirits Shion was consuming in the battle only affect the ending.
If you keep a few spirits, ending A.
If not, ending B.
They almost like the same too.
So what's the point in keeping the spirits?
I guess this is the reason why Shion is hard.
Also don't forget that Fumikado was supposed to be the final boss, so you're right.

I like to think that Shion from Len'en and Shion Yorigami are related. They both need to feed on something people carry. The only difference is that Shion has way more resources to feed on than Shion Yorigami (Due to how everyone has a soul while only a few billion has poverty)
Their only real "relation" is their name, lol (which is actually pretty common). It's a stretch to say that they're related based on that latter factor.
In that sense, you might as well consider them related to Kokoro and Mitsumo.
You might as well also consider Shion Yorigami to be related to the Scoundrel Team, money is _definitely_ something people carry. Hence why Kuroji comes off as amoral.
