- Hello guys! I was amazed by how enthusiastic kayo mag react sa photo ko on instagram when I posted the Sambal I made. Super daming gusto bumili or nag request for the recipe. So here I finally had time to upload the video! :) I hope you guys can follow all the steps. It's super easy to make it. I really hope that this video is a big help for you guys to learn how to make this Indonesian Spicy Sauce. I assure you that this is the best SAMBAL IN THE PHILIPPINES ! LOL!
You guys can enjoy sambal with:
Any ulam you have, with rice or noodles. But I highly recommend you guys to eat them with anything fried. Perhaps fried galunggong, fried eggs, fried chicken or as simple as chicken nuggets or french fries!
Here are the ingredients:
1kg of chili labuyo
1/2 kilo of garlic
1/2 kilo of onions
1/4 kilo of calamansi
8 pcs KAFFIR lime leaves
Vegetable oil
Coconut oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Sugar to taste

Are those peppers spicy? Like scale of spicy lvl from 1-10 and 10 being super spicy. Never had sambal before except the Sriracha kind, so idk if it's suppose to be spicy or not really lol.
My parents grow a lot of Thai chilis but i assume they might be too spicy to use it for this?

He said something that sounded like the Spanish word "pimienta" which is pepper, I don't know what language he speaks but it has a few Spanish words for the ingredients, he also says "cebollas" for onions

If refrigerated, how long we can keep this? and then in a normal temperature, this needs to be consumed within a week nuh?
If you can it properly, it should keep for a long time, probably a couple of years or maybe more. Shouldnât be necessary to refridgerate when unopened. But after opening it should stay in the fridge. Also, when using some, fill the glass up with oil, which prevents air from coming into the Sambal, making it last longer. Not sure for how long though (but I have a jar of wild garlic pesto in my fridge that is a couple of years opened, still perfect because I always replace what I took from the jar with oil. You could think the pesto was freshly made yesterday... đ
