  • Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine, but its efficacy and scientific basis have been a subject of debate in Western medicine. However, recent studies, including the one mentioned by Dr. Andrew Huberman, are shedding new light on the biological mechanisms behind acupuncture and its potential to treat a wide range of ailments.
Dr. Huberman's mention of this study on his podcast "Accessing Your Creativity" highlights the importance of evidence-based research in validating traditional practices such as acupuncture. The fact that a prestigious institution like Harvard Medical School is conducting research on acupuncture shows that it is gaining recognition as a legitimate medical practice with scientific backing.
Overall, this study and others like it are paving the way for a better understanding of the biological mechanisms behind acupuncture and its potential benefits for a wide range of health conditions. While further research is needed to fully understand its effects, the growing body of evidence in support of acupuncture is promising for those seeking alternative or complementary treatments for their health concerns.

Do you suggest ground up rhino horn for erectile dysfunction as well? That’s been around for thousands of years. Hasn’t this pseudoscience in Asia made the rhino almost extinct? Isn’t this the number one reason why rangers are out there trying to protect rhinos?
You also admitted by the Harvard study that acupuncture doesn’t work as you use it, or how most use it. It worked in non specific location in the hindlimb not by some bullshit meridian chart. You left that part out. Unlike many of your clients, I actually read the research papers to make sure you are not twisting the truth.
It works in the same way as those electric pulse machines help with pain. So you are basically twisting the study to show acupuncture works when it shows it doesn’t. And has only been experimented on mice.
Scammers that take money from desperate people that want pain relief. I’m one of those people, and I’ve pretty much tried everything. Only opiates work, which aren’t good to take long term.

If people report that acupuncture works for them for pain relief do you tell them that they are wrong? It sucks that it didn't work for you but if someone says it does then it at least shows a placebo effect at the bare minimum.

So you’re dumb enough to take a temporary relief medication like an opioid but acupuncture is just too far of a stretch. Just find a good practitioner like you would any MD. Better yet, stay in pain and ignorance, at least you will have fuel for your complaints.

@@nicolascuenca254 like 70€ for a placebo isnt worth it.

Never underestimate the placebo effect 😂. Especially if can't afford real treatment.
