Fabulous real up to date insight into what's it's like driving on our highways. Great video.
However, I can see how most of our CRAZY accidents happen. Driving against against the traffic on the highway . It's almost be suicidal.
I can see why people on do it , extortion from the multiple police checkpoints. But it's VERY RISKY.

The video is great but l observed a a hole lot road traffic violations.
    * why apply one way when your lane is clear.
    * Any speed above 120 is very dangerous incase of emergency control of vehicle could be very difficult
    * why driving in emergency lane even when there is a clear yellow line marked on the road
    * big truck applying speed lane why other cars overtake from passenger side.
You have to avoid applying one way lane. Unless there is a road diversion.
The major cause of accident in Nigeria highway 🛣 is never bad roads but reckless driving and failure to obey road traffic instructions.

Not a bad highway at all. Not nearly as bad as the news I hear about Federal roads.
I, however, don't understand how vehicles are allowed leave their own side of the road and travel on the opposite side when other vehicles going that same way show that there is no amalgamation of roads.
Great video! Can't wait for part 4. Thanks.

Thanks John 😊 Vehicles driving on the other side of the highway 🛣 is because of the illegal police check points. They cause unnecessary delays and traffic. It is supposed to be a freeway without obstacles, but there are so maaaany checkpoints that leads one to ask why are there so many of them. Isn't one or two checkpoints per state enough?

The road look really good. 2nd Nigeria bridge on point to be commission in 2022. That is a record time. That building the bridge in 4 plus years. I am impressed. One question though. Why did you and some drivers drive one the side of the road a times? Is the road bad at those points?

About vehicles driving on other side of the highway. It's simply because the police have become law onto themselves. There are way tooooo many illegal checkpoints on the highway. A journey that should take 1hr now takes 3hrs. The vehicles are just avoiding a man-made obstruction along a beautiful expressway. You do not see multiple checkpoints along a freeway in other peaceful countries.

Don't understand the driving facing oncoming traffic especially when it seems like the correct lane is still in use. The government still has a lot of work to do on our motorways because there's no proper signage, lighting, lay byes and exits need to be properly demarcated.

    • @NedMedia

It's because of the multiple police checkpoints along the beautiful highway. People traveling to Aba or further might not reach their destination before dusk.
