sounds like the nrl clubs payed for this segment lmfao
I love Billyâs comment if Schuster went to the Storm under Bellamy!
âHeâd go alright I reckon!â
Tigers didn't have to sign the contract with the clauses.
The clubs agreed to these contracts, donât cry when players activate them
The players are the ones putting their bodies and future health on the lineđ€·đ»ââïž
They wonât have a sport if it ends up a race between 4 teams every year, people wonât watch so then where will they get their pay thenâŠ..unloading furniture trucks
Exactly, all involved need to fully understand Its a business at the end of the day. Take the cap off so everyone involved can take full advantage
â@@johnn7350nrl is making way more money than it ever has thanks to sports betting lol players need to look after their own interests 1st because clubs have no loyalty so why should players
Its seems like players can move and choose freely what they want and how much they want without repaying clubs their effort and investment in them. This will only allow for players to find themselves playing for top teams.
Stef will play origin this year, surely. Stef and Payne Haas oof! Thats a quality front row.
Bellamy is the boss. He got Katoa cranking!
Nope itâs a sign that 5-10 player managers is an unacceptable blight on the game. The broncos fell apart when they allowed half the team to be managed by 1 guy, who promptly used the stars as leverage to get garbage players a spot and then used the fact that half the squad was with him to demand more money and weird clauses for players. Which was just a way for the player manager to continue to extort the club for more.
Footy is a business. The moment a player thinks the club bosses are his mates is when he's screwed. Look after yourself and give yourself some insurance. Clubs screw over players all the time.
First (other comment seems like spam) but on serious note I agree players are ha ing too much power now in negotiating table
The first one's a bot mate. I agree with you about player power.
Its only two origins right? Thats what i remember when they first did the deal. When did it become 3?
Joey is đŻ percent correct get him to storms for lower contract rate and unleash his true potential gradually and then his value can increase as well..
Certain players can be synonymous with greatness and a club. Can they transcend a club? Perhaps, they have to be outstanding Sterling and Price, Smith, Slater and Cronk. Some players have a sense of entitlement and its a generational thing. Players from previous eras knew they had to work hard.
So the Roosters donât have clauses in their contracts? Please Freddy! Joseph Suallii?
Schuster was entitled to every dollar
Itâs a contract the money MUST be paid- itâs okay to see heâs out of form
But heâs won 25 an lost 25 - thatâs a 50 percent win rate + heâs played tests
âWho signs off on this?â
An NRL contract requires 4 Signatures.
1 is the player
1 is the Club
The other 2 are witnesses from both parties.
In reality, the players are mostly the same talent and size across the board, it's on the coaches to improve the team and most coaches are rubbish and don't produce consistent results
Sounds like Stefano taking advantage of the Tigers. Get him out of the club!
yeop get rid of him the doggies will take him off ya hands mate get rid of that headache for ya
Is this segments sponsored by the clubs font offices đđ clubs draw up the contracts if both parties sign the contract with clauses included they by law have to be honoured lol
Sounds like player manages holding clubs to ransom, Iâm an afl fan but I canât wrap my head around you can put all this time into young talent let them flourish and lose them for donuts.
It will eventually get as bad as the NBA in the next couple of years.
Time to take the cap off
Yeah, everyone wants to see Broncos vs Roosters in the next twenty grand finals.
ASTA LA VIESTA "BABE"
Its Hasta
Smith only signed with the roosters if played hooker, so the top sides also have clauses. It's getting like soccer, players bigger than coaches and club's.
Clubs own fault for NOT developing enough players. Focus on young stars instead of all players
Clubs use players at will ,players should also be aloud the same benefits
So itâs ok if clubs have clauses and players canât. Just get rid of clauses altogether.
Andrew Johns sounds like a union-busting factory owner here - amendments in contracts favouring players are wrong, but those favouring the club are right.
I like it,it makes the market more competitive where clubs that are going badly for years actually have a chance of gaining and retaining really good players.Imagine you are a player and you wouldnt blame them for not wanting to be stuck somewhere they will get smashed every week
Turuva is to small
He will come to St George for 5 games and straight into reserves
Heâs not better then the feagai boys
Schuster ainât going anywhere , manly owe him cash đ°, heâs got 25 wins and 25 losses thatâs a 50 % win rate ?..
Excess?? It represents the market. If you donât want to allow clauses, donât sign them. Excess doesnât exist.
They all get paid well so play well then or get out and see how hard the real world is get a Trade.I have 3 Trades behind me and love them all work hard and save well and enjoy my Holidays. These guys just think its easy sailing getting paid a fortune and at the end left with nothing who's fault is that not the Supporters that is for sure.
Once big business gets involved in sport then sport will be finished. The fans help make sport good with the sports contestants. Once the business partners are getting investments more money is wanted greed steps in. Look at the masters i great fan tournament but know year on year they are losing fans. The following of golf with the camera has got worse and worse for TV . For the first time i turned it off and haven't watched it. 40 years ago bbc could follow the ball threw the air land and coming to a stop, now it gets lost you don't see it land and worse thing of all you cannot see the hole. Now look at professional rugby they changed to one company not on TV bbc anymore i haven't watched a single game since the change. I have noticed that people have moved down a couple of notches to footballers who don't make the grade people are beginning to watch them not in big numbers but non the less there is a movement. Ladies football will pick up and fall quicker because the fans know they are not getting value for money. I have suggested to lady golfers when you hold a tournament in a town that the girls playing should arrive a day earlier to go to local schools and hospitals that would improve the amount of fans. Kids seeing these players dressed up with there nails done and make up on jeezy peeps i am sure that would increase fans over the years. I have caddied for the girls in the british open so i am well aware of the pull they would have.
