Frankie, learned how to re-line a spinning reel and tie a fishing knot the other night, now it's time to try and catch a fish. We went to a farm pond on our neighbors property and gave it a shot. She is fishing a Texas style plastic worm rig and managed to catch her first largemouth bass! Good job Frankie!

Glad to see Frankie getting a proper southern outdoor education! Man, don't sell that black/blue craw or lizard short! Especially in cooler, clearer water! Deadly color combo! Black/blue jig with a black/blue trailer has been a go to for me for years! Obviously, I don't know those particular ponds, but you'd probably be surprised at the fish in there!

New to the videos. Very patient daddy!!!! Very thorough teaching!!! Good job daddy. I love my little girls too. Got one in college one in high school and one that’s 2 lol😂. My daddy was right opposite from you. He taught me how to swim by throwing me in the lake by our house!! 😂 for real!! Times were different then though. He was very protective of us though. He was ready to jump in to get me but a lot of things he made me learn for myself because he wasn’t the best vocal teacher. We are still best friends today second to my wife. People learn different ways and people are taught different ways. Great video

Congratulations little lady on your first bass. I'm no expert but I've caught quite a few pond bass. On a yellow h&h spinner and a little o crank bait . Maybe you can get a couple of them. They work in lake's and rivers to. God bless keep your lines tight 🎉

You can get rid of the pond moss and slime by using blue stone or pond dye! It will help in fishing for future! Great video.

Hello from south Georgia,Mississippi looks alot like Georgia with the terrain and farm ponds,also I use 6 or 8 lb test line for fishing,I've caught 11lb bass on 8lb test line,the drag has to be set correctly tho...Happy Fishing.

The water is just a little too cold still, but it will be warming up soon and the fish will bite better, try some black plastic lizards in the middle of April!

Frankie's good at everything she tries except getting out of the mud. Great family time. Did you know you can adjust the shocks on the Pdlaris so it doesn't wobble so much.
Ha ha true! That mud got her good ! I remember hearing that about the shocks … that’s a project for another day 😂
After watching Daughter teaching Dad how to catch a Bass I had to subscribe 😂 This happened to me too when I tried to teach my Daughter and she caught an 8 lb bass off a bed. I caught nothing that day.

My ex-wife was from California too, but I couldn't convince her to bait her own hook......or go fishing more than once. She didn't care much that I cleaned my catch on her kitchen counters either. But being Italian, she understood how to cook fresh caught fish!!!🤣

Frankie, if you hold the fish at arms length, closer to the camera, it will look bigger. That is how a lot of the "Wow! Look at the size of this!" photos are taken.

Use a similar rear drag auto cast reel as Mike is using. Use a 5 ft telescopic zebco rod which has no more backbone than Mike's . But using 7.2 lb test have caught 5 lb smallmouth and 5 lb speckles.

One of the benefits of having a large family two of my older brothers had boys that were about 10 years apart so Uncle John had the benefit of taking him out fishing one of my favorite activities to do was night fishing I'd make a campfire on the bridge we were fishing going after bullhead set up our tackle for river bottom and feel for the tugs always set the hook on the second set of tugs first one will rip it out and the third he'll swallow it we'd start about 9 and wouldn't know it out of the both sets of nephews one would always stay up with me to midnight or so and the other one fall asleep an hour after starting to fish 🤣🤣 good times ♥️

It's the perfect time to start stocking your pond. Get you another deer feeder out there on the pond with some floating catfish pellets. Put you a good 250 Bluegill in there first

It would be easy if ur daughter was interested she could buy a Styrofoam cooler and start her a bed of nightcrawler beds for fishing.. She can google on all the things to feed them.. Also when she is looking for arrowheads kinda kick the rocks around to find them.

You will be surprised what you can catch out of them old farm ponds! Next time you need to go catfishing! Just throw your line out, sit back in your lawn chair, and wait for that bite!
Explain it to her for an overhand cast as clock position, you hold the pole back at 10 o'clock when you're flipping It Forward you want to let go of it at 2 o'clock ,, that's about the easiest kind of definition you can give to a younger person that's just learning how to cast, if they take their finger and let the string go before they get to the 2 o'clock position they will generally have a good cast every time
