Did anyone notice that the Batmobiles switched places at the finish line? The '89 Batmobile was one the left for the whole race, but it wound up on the right at the finish line.
If you watch the _actual_ race video the image is reversed from where they cross the finish line, so, seems right, to anyone who looked into it.

Hadn't seen this in forever. I started watching Critical Role and remembered Marisha as the host of these, but was surprised to see Matt Mercer as "laptop guy" at the end.
I thought that looked like Matt but then thought, "why would Mercer be the laptop guy?"

In the race, the 89 was in the right lane, and the 66 in the left. At the photo finish they had switched lanes. I don't know of too many races where the cars switch lanes just before the finish.
They could have done without the actual race and just given us 10 minutes of Marisha Ray in her bikini. I would watch the shit out of that all day long.

The L88 Engine in the 1966 Batmobile was used in Corvettes and was actually rated at 425 horsepower so this outcome makes perfect sense. A truly Great Car!

I'm not, like 4 example, when the race actually ended the 89 batmobile was on the right making it win, but when they showed the footage in slow mo they had magically switched places, seriously,check it out.
Logaton It's called slow replay because it looked like the 89 won to the naked eye but slowed down it wasn't so.

well remember tim burton hosted the movie, and probably didn't knew he couldn't kill cause i remember a scene where he throws a random criminal off the top floor before he fights joker
rubber bullets. He may hate guns but he isn't stupid and will employ them in minor capacities. He uses them on his vehicles and almost NEVER uses live ammo. Yes rubber bullets will smart something fierce, but there is a much lower chance of actually killing your targets so much as giving them a severe winding to the point of hospitalization.

The Classic isn't old. It's The Best!!! Two cars that I have always appreciated on screen before all others. The Batmobile and the Chrysler Imperial, Black Beauty, from The Green Hornet!!! Classics from the 1060's that will be Forever Young and Forever Beautiful!!! Also, The Munsters Koach, The Dragula Coffin and The Monkeemobile too!!!

Realistically this is based on the build quality of the cars they used. The 89 Batmobile is too heavy, the 60s one is an actual car.
This is true. The 89 Batmobile would be much heavier then the 60's car. The 89 is basically a specialized car compared to the 60's model which was for all intents and purposes a heavily modified actual car. On that note. If the specs of the cars are not false. the 89 Batmobile is the somewhat better car. Despite that weight its design and power gave the 60s car a run for its money. I would call this race on the skill of the drivers more then the actual cars.
The 60's maybe won in a race but it would lose in a weapons fight with the 89's

Dang! The '89 model definitely should have won! Nonetheless, both the folks at Super Power Beatdown and Batman have served as significant influences for us and our work, and for that we thank them!

Right, 300ish hp and 285ish hp isn't going to put u in the 9sec and 11sec get real. 300hp with that bottle I saw in the older school will maybe get it a high 12s to med 13s depending on the weight of the car. But it looks on the heavy side.

For me the original 1960s Batmobile is still beautiful it has those cool buttons that activate other gadgets as well.

This race was a close call. Somehow i'm not surprised that the 66 won, as it seems to be lighter than the 89. I think because the 89 has more weight, it was a a few milliseconds slower.
I say rematch on New Years Eve '13 with only the guys making wagers. That way there's no question of rigging for fan service. And lets add Christopher Nolan's tankmobile to the race.

No Batmobiles were used in the making of this video, But it was fun to watch. (I restored #5 for Bob Butts in 1985/6 and it still has my 66 T-bird 390 in it.) Originals had a weak 352 2bbl Y block engine.
My favorite part was Matthew Mercer being in it for 10 seconds.
