The concept of the SPBD web series is to take two super powered legends and make them battle! Every month we will release a new episode, where viewers will be able to vote to determine the winner. The show is hosted by Marisha Ray, with two debaters, Damian Beurer and Andy Liegl. Together they battle with their sci-fi/fantasy knowledge and comic wit to see who they think the winner will be.

Let's be honest. Drake really isn't anything special. And this is coming from a guy who owns, beat and loves all three games. He's essentially a funny, relatively smart guy who is KIND OF fit. Lara is a rich chick, who is a GENIUS, and a master martial artist. She has more gadgets, experience, discipline and training. The only thing Drake has over her is that he's a smart-ass. Wait, that's not exactly a good thing, so never mind, he has nothing over her.

Yeah even tho I haven't played the game everyone votes on fan base. The only reason batman beat deadpool is because deadpool has no movies (yet, 2016 deadpool). But even if she has better weapons once they got to the hand-to-hand combat parts that girl realistically was done. That guy is in shape and every guy has a natural instinct to fight. While she's able to use weapons better she could've easily blown his head off cuz guns aren't hard to get used to. So it realistically would been close but she had her chance with her forte (weapons) before he could get to his forte (hand to hand combat)
Lara faces more threatening and supernatural situations, but Nate has the thickest wall of plot armor i've ever seen. Like batman (but more accidental and luck based) he'd find a way around anything.
Jay tom Nate also gets equal amounts of bad luck too, so it all balances out.

(in most cases we'd just call that stupid)...But it's definitely good luck if u walk back out after facing every single obstacle.

In tomb raider lara struggles to fight off one dude and then all of a sudden she can beat nathan drake the man who literally took down an entire army in uncharted 2 while bleading to death in snow out in the middle of nowhere all alone and had just escaped an exploding train (edit) I’m 19 now and am embarrassed at the replies lol

Jaden Stewart Yeah, but the young, inexperienced Lara Croft in the 2013 reboot is not the same Lara Croft like the one in the early games or, say, Underworld. Sure, Nathan took out an army of mobsters (mostly with help, but still an impressive feat) but Lara basically takes out gods. On a regular basis. Then there's the fact that Nathan gets knocked around a lot by guys who are bigger than he is. While Lara pretty much kicks everyone's ass, no problem.
The Lara Croft you're familiar with is in a game that tells of her origin story, about a young Lara Croft on het very first adventure where she was caught off guard by something that was much bigger than she anticipated and was forced to adapt to survive, like the born natural survivor she is. Look up some earlier Tomb Raider games, you seem like you need to do a little more research on the material.

INACCURATE I've played EVERY Tomb Raider game an EVERY Uncharted. Nathan would beat Lara. Nathan was in a plane crash and stranded in a desert and fought an entire heavily armed base bare handed. Nathan had neither food nor water and still survived.

For example:
Lara got stabbed by a rebar but she completed her adventure while in constant pain. Nathan got shot at the same spot Lara got stabbed by the rebar, Nate powered through the pain but soon passed out and have been unconscious for 3 days.

How ok lets start with fan base tomb raider has been around since 96 and has a large multiplatform fan base plus movies comics toys statues and other merchandise uncharted started in like 06-08 and only has a large fan base on playstation with only a very little merchandise plus lara croft has way more experience and training than nathan drake does I love both games but lara croft is the clear winner here in all aspects

Drake fought Demons aswell. Those "yetis" were Guardians. He fought poisonous spiders. And Drake didnt have someone with him 50% of the game.
I think that was an unfair voting. Uncharted did have the vote disadvantage of not having many games and only on play station because Naughty Dog took a lot of time to develop them. Plus the franchise started later than tomb raider.
What would really give him the nod for chance to win is that he has been climbing since he was a kid. He took the time and developed a lot of upper body strength. He's actually a trained and experienced climber, gunner, thief, and fighter. And if he has the strength to climb a train wagon dangling off the side of a cliff with a hole in his stomach in blistering cold weather, imagine how hard he can hit in peak condition. Lara on the other hand is merely an archeologist. Maybe she was trained to climb but for how long exactly? A mere two years at the most. And she only started using guns when?
What annoys me about the Nathan Drake in this video is that he pointed a gun at Laras head threateningly. He could have just took her down with stealth like he did with the museum guards or any of the hundreds of other guys who actually tried to kill him. That is Nathan Drakes actual style.
Nathan drake is not an experienced fighter, his h2h sucks I've played every uncharted game. Lara is an Olympic level gymnast and knows martial arts she's also a better marksman. Also this was very noncanon if it really happened she would have just shot him with the sniper rifle. Also there's no way in hell Nathan drake could get the drop on her so to suggest he could have snuck up on her is hilarious. Lara has taken on literal gods and won not to mention she killed a T-Rex, drake took down a few guys here and there. Look up her fights on here, then look up drakes he wouldn't even be a challenge for her.

I've played all the games of both franchises and I can assure you Nathan Drake is much better and more realistic than Lara Croft. Maybe he's not as skilled at H2H as Lara but his endurance is too much to handle. Don't forget how lucky he is. Climbed up a derailed train hanging from the Himalayas with a gun-shot wound in his abdomen and then defeated armored men before being rescued, got out of a crashing airplane in the middle of the desert and then survived for 3 days without food or water. He even fought heavily armed mercenaries in that condition. He defeated a trained militant psychopath leader who gained God-like powers. Nate has also beaten demons. To be honest, a H2H battle between Lara and Nate will be like Nate vs Nadine, meaning there won't be any real conclusion to that. Nadine is a highly skilled combatant who Nate could not really beat but he survived her so..... Sometimes luck can do wonders. Maybe Nate fires a bullet at Lara and misses but considering his luck, that bullet might hit some explosive barrel right behind Lara blowing her to bits. Again, considering Nate's luck, maybe Lara fires a bullet at Nate but the surface on which Nate is standing shifts and the bullet misses Nate.

Ok, Drake does have a lot more fighting skill than shown in this, I'm not saying he shoulda' won. Laura is better at finding stuff once she knows where it is, hence why drake had the skull in the first place cause he's better at finding things when he doesn't know where it is. But Drake is an amazing fighter, and Lara might be better trained, but I think Nathan was totally downgraded further than he should have been. Good job by Lara though, and the actress has a great Lara Croft body.

Charlie Silverhat No he usually is looking for something in a general area, or even having to figure out where the general area is in the first place. But Lara seems to always know where something is exactly, usually because it's already been explored or discovered, she's just "raiding it". Once she gets to the "tomb" or whatever, she doesn't really do any puzzles or anything, she just seems to search around and find it. Or do the indiana jones thing where he sees it glittering in the middle of the room with a strangely placed light over it. Lol.

I love how because Lara won, anyone on her side is automatically a pervert. Guys. Lara trained extensively in many forms of Martial Arts, weapon handling, she has pilot's licenses, she is incredibly talented, intelligent, and not to mention, has a nearly infinite amount of money behind her. I'm not going to lie, Nathan and Lara are a damn close fight, and maybe I only think the way I do because I grew up playing Tomb Raider. The main thing is, although he did grow up "fighting for his life" (with Nuns?), and although he is also incredibly talented and lucky, he has a lack of professional training that Lara has. Now, we can argue all day about the "What ifs", but going on this base idea, the data points toward Lara. Now, yes, I know, now I'm a pervert.

I loved this Lara. Much better than the movie one (movies I could take it or leave it.) She definitely reminded me of her from the video game when she said there's a snake behind you. It was simple, but so much characteristically of what and how she would say that. It made me laugh. Great job on this one guys.

My problem is that most of such character types feel artificially pulled over an overly attractive and sexist body (I'm nowhere a feminist, by the way). They aren't convincing because of that. An ugly female character is amongst the rarest character types in media. And I'd take depth over another pinup all the time. It's also present amongst male characters, but not as in the face as here.

lora has money she was buying her skills her books her guns her fighting all things she was buying Nathan had his history smarts his free running his shooting all skills he learned buying them not a choice

Clearly Drake lost because not as many people have heard of Uncharted even though is much better.
Lara croft is a badass but come one Nathan Drake takes on small armies on a regular basis. He also manages to survive being thrown out of an exploding airplane, living for 3 days (give or take) in the desert without any supplies after falling out of aforementioned exploding airplane, fights off military grade helicopters, killed at least 5 super soldier-yeti things, discovered El Dorado, Shambala, Iram of the Pillars, and the sword of Esteban. He climbed out of a derailed train after being shot and hobbled through the freezing cold mountain while killing tons of better armed more well trained soldiers.
Sorry Ms. Croft but while fighting a T. rex is badass you really don't compare to Nathan Drake.

Lara croft survived living in the Himalayas for a week her mom is gone cause she got sucked in a portal keep this in mine she was 6 years old and she has went against some militias in her games she even explored Area 51 and killed some guards their to one more thing Lara croft survived intense weather conditions just like drake with a Henly shirt on She can definitely beat Nathan drake

@@piercemchugh4509 nate cannonly has both. In game lore he is a great shot. He also moves around a-lot with cover so he doesn’t get it. On top of that, he is easily superhuman and pretty intelligent on the spot. 2 has his craziest feats.

Lara has survived multiple injuries that should have killed her or bled her to death. Like getting impaled.
She fought jaguars, tigers, cougars.
Stabbed wolves to death.
She's fought a bear with only a bow and arrow out in the open.
She's fought a T-Rex.
She's wielded mjolnir, Thor's hammer. (Tomb Raider Underworld)
She took down a small army base single handedly.
She has more survival skills and know how than Nathan does.
She's actually getting shot instead of luck bouncing bullets off her.

She kicked through metal grates and rock walls.
Pushes off a sarcophagus lid, which can weigh in range of tons
Survived multiple plane crashes (how's that luck for you?)
Explosions, cuts, maims, she's pretty capable of anything and has endured it if it can happen to you. She's also tanked hits from supernatural beings established to easily bash through stone and rock
@@piercemchugh4509 most of these is the same thing just like nate? Its gameplay mechanics and “plot armor.” Same thing as “luck.” For the mjolnir part that would technically be here biggest feat. Im pretty sure it had the whole marvel thor “worthy” connection to an extent. At the same time, you kinda admitted you are using all forms of her. For nate, do you want me to list his crazies feats?
