All of the knowledge amongst all of you is amazing. I have an old that is just like you guys, everything he has, he built with incredible design, engineering and radness, everything from Sprint cars, Legends, Rails to some incredible toy haulers.
Anytime you went to one of his races you always knew which pit was his, because it always had the most people standing around admiring his builds

Guys I'm seeing something here. I'm not trying to talk smack, just trying to articulate what I'm observing about the vehicle while considering what the owner has stated. I watched the video several times soaking things in. The fab work is brilliant and I'm stoked. I'm very interested in how the front suspension and steering turns out.
#1) Rear firewall. Separate that fuel cell from the occupants. In my 20 years of building vehicles, no matter what fuel leaks when I've rolled.
#2) With the rear cooling in mind, imagine behind the seats having two parts. A lower firewall to separate the fuel cell from the cabin and an upper section to bring the air in from the roof and the side scoops for cooling. Both sections designed for there own purpose that work together.
It's an opportunity to create a "void" or vacuum space/cavity for roof cooling airflow and at the same time, keep fuel out of the cabin.
Airflow may be hindered by the A pillar roof lights going into the roof air scoops, I'm not sure. Maybe a spoiler behind the roof lights to smooth the air flow?
I'd prefer to run a windshield too. I think with the area behind the seats being sealed off up higher for better cooling airflow would utilize the side scoops more effectively. Maybe with some interior duct work or extending the side scoops into the upper cooling cavity?
Getting rear seats in with all that going on would be a trick but I think it could be done.
Shame on me if I'm out of line.
But dang it, separate that fuel cell from the cabin if nothing else
My next personal big build is a “street legal” bug. Blake’s first bug inspired me and now this bug is exactly what I want. I love it. Can’t wait too tig one up!!! Great build!

Apperntly you don't have much experience in real desert racing..look at any 2 seat race car. Or little older trophy truck or class 8. radiator is mounted where back window would be. With a mesh screen over it.."fire wall is under the cooler dividing fuel tank from engine area.. pretty basic really.. and in racing you are fully contained..fire supresion..fire suits n fire retardant helmets.
Running a bunch of water/methanol injection could do a lot to drop temps.

In the 80's at Glamis we called them turning brakes.
They where called "cutting brakes".. in the 80's-90"s.even today.. now some call it a hoon handle.
Even back in our 2 seat mid engine j&j VW sand cars..in golden glamis days,,it was cutting brakes

How come you dont typically see front swaybars on many builds, especially long travel trucks?
They put front sway bar because of dunes.. keeping it from so much front roll..duning is a different animal.but I have a big Prerunner truck with no sway bar. And big 4 seat sand car no sway bars
If you want a experience of this and able to afford it then get a Supermoto which has high hp like 150hp or 200hp scary fastt and just like a baja
