  • Hey Crafters!!
    I have a super fun idea for a mason jar tissue holder that I saw on Facebook but I added a twist to it to make it a little different. Hope you enjoy and any questions leave them below. Thanks for watching.

    Where did u get the container of kleenex? And how much? Also what is the machine youre using to make the lids? And whats the price. I absolutely love the jar. Its gorgeous.

      I must pin your post!! Excellent questions - The Kleenex came 3 in a pack for $8.99 at my CVS but they put out 30% coupons frequently! Using a small square box of tissues could work too and I got some for $1.00 at Krogers last week that have lotion. I used a Sizzix Big Kick and they are about $49 on Amazon... or check craft stores for sales. I love mine... I use it all the time... and this was my second big kick... you can also buy Sizzix Big Shot and it’s the exact same machine. ( I assume different manufacturers? ) Thank you so much!!

    This was a really nice idea. My girlfriend and I are getting into making our own primitive/ grunge crafts and wood working. Trying to start a small business in the side. We recently visited a tiny store that specializes in sales of primitive decor. The cashier said she was so happy to see such a young couple so interested in the primitive lifestyle, that it's almost doesn't interest anyone except people who are much older than us. I told her I'm trying to bring the interest back for my generation and the next. Great job! I look forward to seeing more tutorials.

    Very cute! Thank you for sharing :) If you have trouble with the vinyl not sticking to the transfer paper or to the jar when you are applying it, try giving it a bit of heat! a hair dryer or heat gun will work. Just a few seconds of heat over the transfer paper, then a quick rub again and it should stop giving you problems. Saves me a lot of time, I was having to rub and rub with some projects!

    New to crafting. I've always loved creating I guess I'm a crafter at heart bt noones ever taught me so I had to research EVERYTHING. A huge obstacle is most crafters have been doing crafts for years & I don't even know the simple things. When I saw your machine I was literally rewinding to see it again. That is so cool. I'm sorry bt if u don't mind could u explain what it is & what other things it does? Is it made specifically for all crafts or for something like card making yet other crafters use it as well? I know these probably sound ridiculous to most of u with experience but if anyone out there would like to be a "crafting mentor" I would appreciate any & all information. I love your channel Just found U & I already am so impressed with the beautiful yet seemingly easy to put together crafts. Key words & unfortunately from experience are "seemingly easy".... I bought ribbons to make ribbon wreaths.... HA! NOT as simple as the woman made it look. After 2 hours I had one crooked bow & had ruined 3 whole spools of ribbons that didn't quite make it. When I went to fix my crooked bow to my wreath form the middle was so bulky that the bow was flopping looking like it was the most depressed looking bow anyone had ever seen. I went back to the tutorial to learn I must "only" make 8-11 MORE BOWS EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE..... HA AGAIN....[SARCASTIC VOICE] "THAT'LL HAPPEN!" LMAO I learn by doing, I'm a hands on learner but unless I have someone there to walk me thru it its so hard to watch tutorials when u cant ask a simple question. Its those lil details I'll get caught up on. 🤫😖 any suggestions on where to learn or what to read or listen to certain tutorials that are easy to follow for beginners with a creative way of thinking I wld be so happy. I think your stuff looks gorgeous & love that it looks expensive.

    Hi Gina I have a question.
    Where did you get the letters to transfer onto the jar with the transfer tape??? It has been my biggest obstacle finding the lettering!! I will be doing this project with my granddaughter over Thanksgiving holiday. Thanks a million Diane Pokrajac

    • @CraftingItUpandCreations
      @CraftingItUpandCreations  Před 5 lety

      Diane Pokrajac I would maybe try a stencil and paint if you don’t have a cricut or silhouette cameo or brother scan and cut. Stenciling would probably look just as good or better really with that texture spray paint or chalk paint. My letters were vinyl that had adhesive on the back. I would love to see the finished project! I have even made some after I did not put any words on just the flowers. If you are savvy I have a Facebook page you could post a picture to! Happy Craftgiving! ;) hope your holidays are awesome!

      I am going to try to make a quick short video on how to fold the tissues. I doubt it's too small - you just wouldn't be able to hold as many tissue but I feel like we can make it work! @CraftingItUpandCreations  Před 6 lety

      I used permanent brake t I felt like it had to do with the transfer tape being inexpensive and the rough surface of the jar. I may try using my heat tool next time someone had suggested that as well. Thanks for the thoughts of what could help ❤️

      D. Joy Gwilliam I’ve seen them at CVS and Target. I am not sure about Walmart but you can take a regular box of tissues and use 1/3 amount- fold in half and fold in half again pulling 1/2 of the first tissue up so that one will pull up the next. That may be clear as mud... but hope it makes sense!
