- On my way back from Wales, my van broke down and went into limp mode. I had to drive it all the way back home in 3rd gear at 30 miles per hour. It was a long and slow journey, but I eventually made it back.
When I got back, I took my van to the mechanic, who needed to keep it overnight. I didn't have anywhere to sleep, so I decided to sleep in my new bivvy tent in the woods.

@@Nomadickangoo works completely dried up and no look of it changing, ran out of money so living situation is difficult and depression. Came out of a family house and 5 yr relationship to nothing. Just find everything overwhelming anyway I need to go docs. Thanks for youre concern bro. Love the videos the one I watched resonated with me for some reason. Take care. Ps. I'm so sorry to hear all this my man, I'm not suggesting not to go to a doctor, but have you tried to get out in nature? maybe a walk or run, I was on all sorts of medication for years, and nothing helped till I started looking after myself. But that's just my experience and I can't talk to anyone else. I really hope your situation changes soon, stay strong bro 💪 Ye man, I'm still in the van, It's my home

My partner left me just after she had my baby. I used to be angry at this. But now Im single and free with a wonderful child and i don't have this annoying girlfriend dictating every day of my life. The best times for me is these days, surviving and not doing the typical BS life lol

Just found your channel, and it's so good to see someone in vannlife who has taken it on blind, due to some unforseeable circumstances being through some right challenges and keep pushing through eventually seeing those little windows that you can add to YOUR PERSONAL JOURNEY. Please keep doing what YOU ARE DOING.... finding your love of life again, at your own pace...in your van and in nature. Hope I see you on the North East Coast, The Jewel of the North Yorkshire coastline, A)you would love it for your running, on the beach 14-mile stretch in total, its pure sincerity (trust me, I used to do it everyday until I was diagnosed with advanced, unoperable spinal condition, 20 yrs ago, but I'm not in a wheelchair yet, determination and pushing my limits and beyond keeps me going...Where's there's a will there is a way), if you do make your way up north, let me know, I show you some tips n tricks that are so simple but until your shown your like " ohhh yeah " haha. Your mum must be so proud of you, and as a mother myself, I will say that....never give up because you're doing it right. Life is a bugger but that is what we grow and learn from👍👏🫶👌👌👌.

Just stubbles across from cangoo videos. Vivaros of the last gen are well known to have dpf and injector issues. Especially if they spend alot of time idling or spend alot of time driving at slow speeds. Because the dpf doesn't have time for regen. Vivaros and hiace is the same van with Peugeot engine. Engine that was pulled straight out of a car and put into a van. Older vivaros were well known to do high mileage I yet to see new shape one do over 100k without any major engine work

Ive been wild camping to Scotland a couple of times and camping at loch dee and loch trool in the summer was amazing! Just a heads up! Loving the channel!

Oh buddy this is why i hate modern day vehicles.
Thats why I bought an iveco daily mk3 to convert into a camper but had to buy a motorhome instead due to time, weather & having things in storage.

Hope he didn`t rip you off, with the van repairs. I do the wild camping, mostly on the South coast, but couldn`t hack it in a little tent, with all the wildlife rooting about. Always good to get back to my home when i`ve had enough though. Good luck.

This is a vanlife channel but so is a camping and adventure channel, it is about your free spirited life and i recon post all your adventures here unless you start to write a music then make a separate music channel etc
Yah I might keep it all on here, But what ever adventure I do might cut it into a different video for the other channel. So same adventure, 2 versions, one more van life featuring the van and the other just the running/adventure, maybe?
@@Nomadickangoo yeah sounds great but keep in mind that the second channel always doing a bit worse, you don't want to lose views on your content as i know how much hard work and excitement had gone into creating it. I have a second channel as well where i put all the longer rambles and walks or something that would might be boring for my ordinary viewer on my main channel, and that works. Anx whoever likes the whole me, me as a person or are interested to see what else i m up to, they then have this opportunity to go on my second channel and watch those longer rambles, walks snd what else. I view my second channel as an extension to my main channel.. you do whatever you like, your life your channels, i m just sharing my way, maybe it gives some inspiration. All the best buddy! Honestly I think people especially on smaller channels follow the personality not the content as much. Probably people are searching for van life videos so you get more one-off views on those ones. That's how I found you and I subbed because I liked how you showed the bad parts as well as the good which you don't get on most channels or Instagram vanlife people who make it all seem so easy.

I bought a 2008 Toyota dyna for their reliability bar a leaky fuel tank £700 front suspension and rear leaf springs £1700 and a cam belt and water pump £600 it’s been pretty decent. I built a shed on the back and can remove the shed when ever I need on scaffold poles when work needs doing. Any of the older mercs Toyotas or even vws are pretty bomb proof. The Toyota hiace is maybe the best my friend has one with 600k miles on it he paid £320 at an auction years ago.

When the warnings came you thought, well Tim drives his with warnings so I should be ok. Had to laugh at the 7:00 minutes mark because you looked like you were escaping a prison camp through a tunnel. It's 2019, So not too old, it is the first thing to go wrong. The mechanic said the filter is common fault. If it happens again I will start to worry! Hope you enjoyed the video tho 🤙

Buy a MK1 Mercedes Vito they are Bullet Proof. Om611 Engines are good for a Million Miles.

@@Nomadickangoo Yes they are Genuinely Bullet Proof. They also have the same engine in the Mercedes Sprinter with a Bigger Turbo but still the OM611 Engine. My Friend has this Vauxhall Van it's a 1.6 Bi Turbo. It always has Faults with the Turbo even though it's new, it goes into limp mode quite often. It's been into the garage a few times but cannot locate the fault, he has to reset the faults with his OBD2 reader on his phone also gearbox had a fault where it whines in gear. Once the finance is finished he is going to get an old MK1 Vito because of the om611 Engine and Getrag Gearbox and no Electric Sensors Etc.

@@Nomadickangooyou can clean the egr and dpf yourself neither are particularly hard jobs to do. On the older dpf vans like late 2000s you can put a egr blanking plate on to force regens yourself.
