Hi Mark!! Awesome!! Thanks for watching, Sir!! And for your feedback, I'm glad you're enjoying the content! More to come. Thanks so much for your support, and welcome to the channel!!
That's not always a good thing. 😂 I went fishing with Dad once. We were the only one left on the lake. I said dad, something is wrong, this lake cleared out to fast. He said "it's a good thing" fish quit biting. We got to shore and we found out there were tornadoes all around us. To top it off the guy in front of us couldn't get his party boat out of the water for us to load. It took 10 of us standing on the trailer to get his boat out. I bought him a battery operated weather radio the next day.
Your videos are amazing. I am a terrible fisherman, so am looking to learn how to catch fish. I don’t have a fish finder, so just learning what to do in the event the fish are in the area. Thank you for your videos.
Hi Christopher.. thanks so much for the feed back and for watching. Here to help so reach out anytime you have any questions!! Tight lines and all the best this fall!

Awesome John - welcome my Friend and fellow Louisianian - It's amazing - I group up there but always fished for Red Fish and Speckled Trout! Thanks so much for the feedback and the support!! welcome to the channel. more to come!! Have you got a website for your jigs - I'll pick up a few and try them out - send your site info to my email - linendawater@gmail.com
The water clarity level itself is a characteristic you use to help reveal a pattern. You can think of it almost like a math equation. Water usually has a reason for becoming stained & those reasons help reveal a pattern. So when you go out onto the water, for instance, and you're dealing with stained clarity, cloud cover & drizzly rain and you experiment with plastic that works - that plastic becomes part of the pattern because there is no doubt that the fish could see and was interested in your choice of plastic. It isn't an exact science but over time - your catch ratios will improve making you a more successful Crappie Angler. Great Question - hope it helps - Tight lines!!
New subscriber, Hello there I'm n Ohio thats a great video on the double rig that was awesome footage of u catchin 2 slabs at the same time on the double rig nice video thanks 4 sharing that James H
Hi Timothy sorry for responding late - I've had the most success with Pearl, White, Monkey Milk and Ghost patterns to replicate shad - In muddy water I use Dull/High visibility combos like Pearl/Pink, white/red or Chartreuse/pink. Hope this helps - thanks for Watching!!!
Thank you for sharing your videos I'm just now starting to get into crappie fishing I don't have a boat I fish from a dock what kinda advise can you share fushing docks and plastics .
I'd try Slip Floating with a live minnows - this will allow for dept management and the ability to switch depts quickly as needed. I'd also try casting a road runner Jig tipped with a baby shad plastic or twister tail. This will cater to Crappie that prefer baith on the move - Night fishing Docks for Crappie can be extremely productive this time of year... hope you get into them!!! tight Lines!!!
Do you make your own plastics? The caption early on says you “splice melded,” what does that mean? I know I could do more CZcams research but seems like you really know your stuff so I would prefer your knowledge when you find the time
Hi Michael.. No Sir.. I don't make my own plastics. That video was about choosing and experimenting with different colors and there was a combination I thought would work well with 2 different plastics I had. So after a razor blade and a little super glue(I called it slice melding) I made a lure out of 2 and it worked really well actually.
How u doing sir I stay in kansas and I've been trying to learn how to tell wut color the crappies are hitting on can u help me out sir ...lol...I'm very serious I luv fishing I go every weekend
Hi Robert!! Great Question and a very important topic - when using lures color really is King in Crappie fishing. My approach starts with a study of the body of water I'll be fishing that day. What are the crappie feeding heavily on in that body of water, then depending on the water clarity, Temperature and the amount of light penetrating the column of water the fish are holding at - you can then begin making some decisions on Lure color. Generally speaking, for clearer, warmer water, Chartreuse patterns have worked well for me.. and if the water is super clear - I may even use live minnows. For Stained water, I start with High-visibility/dull patterns like Chartreuse and black or Purple and pink. And then experiment slightly lighter or darker until I start catching fish. Once you start catching them - take note of what of you used and the conditions and you'll get better and better and putting together patters of color for Catching Crappie! Great Question Robert!! I hope my explanation helps! Tight lines Sir! Thanks again for watching! More to Come!
Hi Antonio - in that video - I'm fishing in the feeder creek that feeds the lake on the North Side of the lake. If you look at the lake on a map - you can see the creek on the north side feeding the lake.
This guy gives his subscribers and viewers everything he's got ! Did anyone notice that he said he was going to " log down " when a low front was coming in, with dinge water, and overcast skies , what worked on a particular Day? That means his day of fishing did not end on the water when the fun part was over , but took the time after the boat was put away, and the filleting was done , to take notes not only for his sake , but ours , to be able to bring us the best content available so we can consistently get on these fish! I have never met this guy in my life , but I am going to one day! And I don't receive financial compensation for supporting his channel in any way . But I'm going to support it ! And it's not only because I believe what this man is trying to teach us . But because I believed him to be someone of the most upstanding character , and a good man at heart , and those two things alone are good enough for me !
I meant to add that as my own reply, but I guess I was reading somebody's comment when I posted that so I didn't get it out in the mainstream comments sorry for that you can move it out there if you like if you know how to do that LOL

One of my favorite colors to use is electric chicken now that is a great color and about 90% of your fish will go after it too
Is it Pink and Chartreuse??? I've used a plastic called Hot Chicken in the spring during the spawn and I absolutely kill them on it!!
