    I still can't believe how much trimming you guys do... My plants lose two leaves during water changes and I mourn them for days! 🤣

    Superb man. I don't know how I missed part two! This gives me a lot of ideas. I once had didiplis looking like this, but never got my aromatica quite that dense. I would like to try pogo stellatus and see if I can get it really small and dense. Thanks for awesome methods man.

    I can't imagine the amount of time is takes to take care of the tank, and even more, to make that video. Both are an insane amount of work.
    But thanks for doing so. Very informative, subscribed.

    Dennis, Where did you obtain the bulk of your knowledge? How long have you been in the hobby? Maybe give your opinion on water changes, how much do you do etc?
    Please make more videos like this!

    Kent Margalet Thanks! I use EI (estimative index), though I tweak the amounts slighty... I use dry chemicals; K2SO4, KNO3, KH2PO4, Fe/traces throughCSM + B.

    @scrapironfish Thanks ! I like reading the research articles on Tom barr's site; it takes a bit of time, but almost everything is covered there. I think water changes depend on the tank ? For this tank, using limestone (seiryu) rocks, the KH keeps rising, so I do smaller but more frequent water changes: 30% every 5 days

    Very hands-on video on trimming.Loce it! At the beginning, should the plants tips be trimmed more so that more side shoots can sprout?

    hello, how come my stem plants would die from the bottom stem and uproot itself? is it lack of light? I can’t achieve the bush growth because plants would do this

    Hi, I just planted Alternanthera Reineckii 'Mini’ in my tank and I have already started to see lots of new leaves forming at the tips show I cut them off as I want a compact dense bush?

    nice tank! I would mine looked smomerthing like this..
    do you use a ph controller? and what kind of filter are you using. it looks like you have perfect circulation in your tank. I am having issues with carpet plants. they won't grow in my tank for some reason :(

    • @2hrAquarist
      @2hrAquarist  Před 8 lety

      Thanks man, no I don't use a pH controller - and yeah flow is quite important in a tank, especially carpeting plants that require flow down to the substrate level to get access to good CO2/nutrients

    • @zerorelaxx
      @zerorelaxx Před 8 lety

      What kind of filter capacity do you recommend for a 125L tank? with a lilly pipe or spraybar? are you using a solenoid and a timer? i have issues with adjusting the co2 dosage. thank you for your videos i have learned much more.

    hey. can u pls tell me what lightning u using on this tank? on your site i see u write ur using 2X Dennerle color plus, 1X ATI purple and 1X Dennerle 3000k in one tank. do you recomend this setup for a standard aquarium for nice colour plants or you just using it for your "farm tank"?

    • @2hrAquarist
