I've always thought Rudy was underrated.

I think he's accomplished that.
And he's right. Still composes great music, but his slow solos still so touching
I'll take soulful playing over speed any day. I've always loved the Winds of Change solo for that reason. Rudolph has such emotion in his playing.
@nesbittjohn I agree 100%. Listen to David Gilmour play. He's no speed king but he does magical things with a guitar.

That’s absolutely the sickest, most greasy and amazing solo!
I saw them in ‘82 & ‘85, and I can say they are one of the most amazing live acts I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen some of the best. 🤘🏻
The Schenker brothers sure had ear for beautiful melodies. I never thought of it but Rudolfs solos share a lot with his brother's when it comes to melody lines that compliment the song.
Very nice. Clean and precise. I've been playing hair guitar since 1983. Got lots of Scorpion miles under my belt, and its cool to see younger players learning the good stuff. 😁👍
You really nail these solos but also the tone. The solo to ‘Still Loving You’ must be one of my favorites. Excellent job Mélanie 👌Rudolf definitely got some very tasteful and soulful melodic solos. Great selection and playing!
Bravo Melanie..... Although Rudolph is the rhythm guitarists for the Scorps, his few solos that he plays are some of the most impactful scorpions solos of all time. God gave the Schenker brothers a gift. The way they string their notes together to form some of the most beautiful melodies ever. Both Schenker brothers are brilliant guitarists. Michael is known to be the more talented guitarist but I think Rudolph is under rated and is the greatest rhythm guitarist of all time.

E vamos finalizar na minha querida cidade PORTO ...faz muitos anos, deixei para último porque foi a primeira vez que vieram a Portugal... e o festival se chamava IMPERIAL ROCK ..
All these power ballad solos especially from Still Loving You,even a best glam rock guitarists like Slash and Ritchie Sambora could be ashamed,by one who is declared as a rhythm guitarist...

Wow, great job. Just awesome. Scorpions definitely have some of the most colorful, emotional guitar parts in hard rock/metal, IMHO.

Always have been a big Scorpions fan also having raised two daughters and no Sons I really like seeing you jamming on the guitar successfully and I appreciate your opening solo from Always Somewhere I danced with my daughter for the father daughter dance at her wedding to that song and hearing it always brings back the best of memories especially the solo Rock on the Melanie you will be 1-day top of the bill

I read every comment and liked all of the English language comments along with a few in other languages that seemed obviously positive. I did not see one negative comment and I have seen them on nearly every guitar video I have ever watched including the people considered to be among the greatest rock guitarists ever, Randy, Eddie, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngvie, Paul Gilbert ... you all get the idea.
