- We are all seeing an increasing number of scam texts, calls, and e-mails. Doctors are no exception, and unique scams target our ego, insecurity, and tendency towards rushed decisions. In this video, I show a recent scam e-mail I received and how I responded. Although this particular scam is humorous, I hope this serves as a warning against the increasingly prevalent and sophisticated scams.

Not gonna lie, it's different seeing a doctor I've only seen speak scientifically about MS singing Rick Astley
:) I'm not looking to change careers anytime soon.
Rick Astley is your Doppelganger! Separated at birth?
Haha.
Thank you for this Dr. Beaber. Really appreciate this!!!
Scammers are sub-human... wretched monsters!
no doubt.
The scammer should get an MRI to see if they even have a hippocampus, since they sent the same question a couple times.
Bad English is not an error, but a filtering tactic. Victims are more likely if they don't notice the errors.
This is an interesting point.
@@DrBrandonBeaberit's true!
I have never been scam, but my mother has they wiped out her bank account twice even though I told her never give any of her information to anybody that calls. They lured her in by saying she won 25,000 in contest.
Brilliant video, thank you Dr Beaber. Agree - never think you can’t be scammed! I was almost a victim of a scam but they hung up when they realised I didn’t have any money!
I suppose this is one of the few benefits of not having money.
@@DrBrandonBeaber absolutely!
Chuckle, chuckle.
All great tips. Thank you.
The Barbie version of you just hilarious 😂😂😂
:)
OMG LOL EPIC WIN. I love this trolling!
Great job!!
:) Thanks
😂😂😂 good job, Dr. Beaber! 😂😂😂
Thanks :)
Good tips Dr. B and well done!
:)
lol, love this
thanks
Thanks for sharing this story. It's important these types of things are as well known as possible.
I just got one of these yesterday. It was a classic, though. I'm selling a dining set online. Their mother was buying it for a charity. I just had to follow their link to book a time for the movers to come pick it up then they would wire the money to me. I've had this same story at least 5 times for various things I've sold online. Used car sales are bad for this kind of thing too. Be careful. Never follow a link from someone you don't know.
You've got to be very careful and always on high alert. It's much better to go through a 3rd party which offers some kind of fraud protection.
Excellent video Dr B!
Thanks!
MY Fee is one Million dollars LOL
I only accept bitcoin ;)
LOL and don't take random pictures of QR codes. Because it might send you somewhere. You don't want to be and they haven't posted all of our gas stations and everywhere else.😅 4:36 😅
There’s a lot of countries and in Africa one of them the doctors called by their first name. It’s even non respect to call the doctor with his/her last name over there.
Interesting
Hi Dr Beaber-could you please advise what your opinion is regarding ageing with MS, especially as concerns taking disease modifying medication. I took one course (2 years 2019, 2020) of Mavenclad (cladribine)🎉before a neurologist I saw advised, rather grudgingly, that I could have one more year of the drug.Unfortunately, during the screening tests required prior to starting the drug, it was discovered in 2023 that I had breast cancer which was treated and resolved. I have just turned 60, was diagnosed at 27 with RRMS after at least 2 years of symptoms.I have been through all the different types of DMD’s as they were released (nothing was available when I was first diagnosed except IV steroids). My wonderful neurologist was a MS researcher and was always keen to treat my highly active MS but unfortunately has retired. I am now experiencing extreme fatigue and increased difficulty in walking any more than 50 metres and are trying to find a new neurologist. The doctor who I last saw suggested that people of my age have less relapses and probably don’t require further treatment? This seems contradictory to what I have been told about DMDs being necessary to prevent relapse.
I would really appreciate your opinion on this subject-
Janine, Sydney Australia
This is a controversial topic. It is true that on average, aging is associated with a lower risk of relapses and new MRI lesions. The risk of taking immunosuppressants is higher as you get older. I can't comment on your specific situation.
L o l good job doc❤
Thanks
