- As long as you make frequent backups, restoring your dead or inoperable SSD or HDD is a breeze when using Acronis True Image (Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office). You will need to make the recovery thumb drive if your boot drive is the one that failed.

Thx for the video - and the links are also very useful. I'm using Cyber Protect Home 2024 Edition and recently had the issue of restoring a whole drive. The restored device was an Intel RAID controller and while all the former versions of Acronis restored without a problem to this controller - Version CPH 2024 doesnt have the related drivers as part of the recovery!!! This caused me a lot of headaches - the solution was in creating Acronis 2020 Secure Zone on a 2nd external HDD, connect the backup on 1st external HDD, initialize the RAID configuration, restore from 2nd HDD with Acronis 2020.
Thank you for your video. I have used and loved Acronis True Image for years!
It was very helpful for me, thanks bro 👍👍
Really good video and your backup solution.
I use Marcum Reflect (Full image every week and Differential every day) to external drive. Then I backup the external drive yo a second external drive to go off site.
Well done, thanks for sharing
Thank you, thank you!!! I replaced a 512 with 1TB SSD on a Dell XPS. Your video was PERFECT!! 👍🏼. Still loading, 1.5hrs it says. 😅
you are the best. thanks very much
Thank you @PlanetKryos for another great explainer video. I have a question because I think I might not be doing the right kind of backup with Acronis to do the recovery that you just demonstrated. Yes, I love the idea of being able to set up a new HDD without having to install windows, do all the updates, install and activate all the apps plus their settings.
My heart is beating faster just thinking about all that!
My current Acronis backup is just my data. How should I change this to include everything, so that I can save hours and hours as you suggested? Thanks!
Hi, nice video, i wanna ask you before i do backup my windows do i have to disable the Bitlocker protection on the disk?
You shouldn't have to, but that would be a great question for Aaron's themself.
Thanks a lot for this video. I have a question concerning your demo.
I just had to change my NVMe 1 To drive after error "F02'' on my HP 45L Gaming Desktop. A clean win 11 install was done . Can I use my WDC Black 8To for downloading from my Acronis 2024 my previous full system backup , before having to replace the NVMe deive knowing that it was created in the Acronis cloud, and after that operation use my WDC Black 8 To to recover windows, following the steps of your video ?
If you had a recovery on another drive you can just use that to restore your drive. If it was your C drive then you will also need Acronis on a thumb drive as bootable media.
Thanks for the video. I have a few questions for you. I have used acronis true image for years, but never had to resctore any backups over the years except for now, after my main PC doesn't want to booth anymore. This is an HP Omen 45L Gaming (win 11) tower, that refuse to boot for over 3 weeks,, giving error '' 3F0". My last full acronis backup is about a month old, and was verified to be good in acronis.
questions
1- My backups were all done with acronis true image 2021, installed on the HP Omen 45L (win 11) equipped with an NVMe 1 To, and the backups saved on an external WDC Black 8 T0 bytes external HDD Drive connected to the Omen with a USB connector. Is Acronis True Image 2021 can backup reliably win 11 C: partition ?
2- I have a a " Plugable USB 3.1 Gen 2 NVMe SSD enclosure " that when connected to my older PC running Win 10 Pro can read and write the NVMe card. The same version of Acronis True Image 2021 is also installed on this older PC. Can I use the newest backup on my WDC Black 8 T0 bytes, and install it on the NVMe with the "plugable" device succesfully ?
Thanks a lot for your help
Great question. Did you ever make a rescue usb drive? I would use that. Otherwise yes using you other pc will work as you want it to. Just make sure you point it to the correct drives for the target and source.
I have Acronis True Image 2021, I’ve made many backups, it’s straightforward enough, and it does it from Windows itself straight from the desktop, very convenient. I’ve never done a restore from a backup yet, i presume it can be done within windows itself from the recovery tab, like the backup can, or does any restore have to be done via the usb rescue way? Hope that makes sense.
You could restore any other drive as long as no C drive.
Thank you. This was great and it worked out well. I did a full backup when I first got my WD mypassport. After that I was doing incremental backups for the past 3 years and I cannot recover the last incremental backup for December 2023 which I have my latest files and folders. Can you tell me how. TIA.
Hard to tell you what to do when I can not see it or what you are doing or what you have. If you can restore everything else than it might be a corrupt backup
Hi sir , where can I see your video on how to create the "bootable thumb drive" ? , Thanks again for your help.

There are other ways this can be done as well. This also work for win 11
While taking Acronis image backup, the Hard drives in server power edge T440 server and also in precision 3650 workstation are not visible. And error is displayed no hard drive detected.
Any idea how to solve the problem?
Get on the Acronis forum to discuss it
Nice p k thanks
Hi man, if i have more than 1 ssd in my pc how does it works.
Is it only backup and recovery the ssd with os (c:) or it backup all 3 ssd and put everything back when i do recovery
It all depends on if you only have a backup of the OS or if you have more drives in the system and they are backed up also. You can have multiple backups of different drives or even of the entire system, meaning one backup containing all the drives in your PC. Did the help?
@PlanetKryos yeah thanks it say entire pc, but i dont understand if it refers to all drives or just one with os
All
*Planet Kryos* Is it possible to restore a backup to an external disk and then install this external disk into my laptop and boot normally? Yes, the backup originates from the Laptop.
Yes you can do that.
