I just updated my bios via this video but when i boot my pc, it auto boots into my bios..and i don't think it recognizes my ssd where windows is anymore...what do i do? My mobo is a msi b350m gaming pro

I first saw the contact frame review on GN and was impressed by the thermaltake frame. A lot less expensive than the Thermal Grizzly frame and helped cool the CPU a little bit better. Bought that one for both of my 12th gen CPU's. I will only use contact frames on the 12th thru 15th? Gen Sockets. Intel dropped the ball on the LGA1700 processors by not adding another hold down clamp on the other side of the CPU for even pressure.

when I downloaded crystaldiskinfo I only got good, no percentage, no snap shot of temps etc at the top like your page showed and I downloaded to most recent version - 7-1-2024?? Also my read write were ridiculous 531.52 read 436.83 write - you were in the 1.000's, so is there something really wrong, if so why would it say good and all blue? So, I am not sure how to interpret those readings. I have a micron 512 ssd in a lenovo t530 laptop. Thanks

Question: If I have a PCIE wifi adapter can I still plug it in to a PCI slot? Because my motherboard only has 3 slots, pcie 16x, the small one usually for the wifi adapter (is covered by the graphics card), and a pci 8x I believe. The Wi-Fi driver I am thinking about installing is the GIGABYTE WiFi 6E GC-WBAX210

I have probably tried over 30 different ways to update my bios. So many different BIOS’s different flash drives, different ways of putting the file on the drive. And I can’t get it, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I have checked everything so many times I don’t know what to do. This only giving boost to editor apps but in 3D games it remain the same and they using only 1 gpu set by default

Hi, I just updated my bios for my z790p to 7E06vAD3(Beta version). And instead of ( 4:00 )Windows , it's just stuck on the msi loading screen. I dont want to touch anything 😭

I have the same rams shown. My only problem is that sometimes the argb dont sync together (prior to that everything was okay no problems with lighting) randomly one will light up first then the second one will follow after. Before they synced together. I have forced firmware update, also reinstalled ICUE. Bios up to date. Im not sure what else i can do tbh. Also i have set my rams in icue where the dimms are in place

I found this out a month ago with my AMD 5600G and Gigabyte GTX 1650. Your system will prioritise iGPU for much lower graphic demands such as desktop and web browsing. Just check your Task Manager to see where your system decides to switch graphics.

Thanks for the review. Just curious how reliable this thing is? I see they also sell one with a tiny 7000rpm fan inside. I'm guessing the thermals weren't great on this one? Have you tried using it for e.g. video editing straight off the drive? Or large (10GB+) file copies? Asking for a Mac user (you know coz Apple like scalping their customers for internal storage!). Does it work without throttling or more importantly without corrupting data?

Great video and good explanation of all the steps and potential issues when updating BIOS. One thing though, shouldn't you really make sure PTT is enabled? Even though it wouldn't cause any apparent problems initially, it does provide some extra security and could cause problems later if Microsoft pushes out a new major Windows 11 release then compatibility checking could fail.

You identified a number of incompatibility issues which happens often when mixing brands, especially cheaper brands with more expensive brands. Sometimes saving a few $$$ to forsake hassle free compatibility just isn’t worth it. I used the Corsair 5000X, all fans were Corsair 120mm RGB, and the AIO Cooler Rad was a Corsair H150i iCUE tri-fan…no issues with fitment or orientation of any of the cooling options because it was all Corsair and all designed to work together. Very informative video though with a number of points to consider with my own build; was good to see a similar build as my own (also AORUS Master X, Intel i-9 14900K). 😎😃💻
