- Suzanne reacts to Rigoberta Bandini’s live performance of “Ay mamá” during the segunda semifinal of Benidorm Fest 2022. The Semi-Final 2 winner featured a large globe that looked like a breast as she addressed stigma of the female body (and more broadly topics like menstruation, breastfeeding and body shaming).

You absolutely understood perfectly the message of the song. That was one of our top concerns, if people were going to understand the message and you just hit all the buttons. Was it easy to get the message only with the visual components? Thanks very much :)
Thank you for explaining the meaning of the song! The world needs to hear her message!
Thats the BEST reaction and the BEST explanation about Rigoberta's song. Thank u from Spain
So much love!
This is the best video Wiwibloggs has ever uploaded.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts in this video, it makes me happy!
🙏🏻😭❤️
She is one of the fauvorite songs to be elected for Eurovision. She song talks about feminity and reividication. In the song and being a little girl, she is talking to her mother and ask her why they couldn't go to the city with their breast naked. Just like a reindication of them like the women they are. In Spanish when you say "mama", you can translate that to "mommy" or "breast" (that's why she repeats that so much). Using that like a reivindication of feminity and freedom. Nowadays, a woman is not able to show her breast but men can in many places (for exmple, Eurovision). It is used for sex, breastfeeding and for life. So she asks her mother. "why are our teats so scary?".
Women are still invisible in many countries, the reivindication of the naked breast is a symbol of freedom of women (like a person, like a female, like a mother, etc).
I think this performance has got a lot of symbolism and detail. What it represents and a great song that anyone can sing no matter what language do you speak, you can sing it.
Also, every person that I know is talking about this performance.
This act has grown in me over this week and in my opinion it should be the song that represents Spain this spring in Torino.
So glad Rigoberta led me to this video. More women talking like you in the world.
Music matters 💗💗
❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thank you so much.
As a Rigoberta's new fan, thank you for your comprehensive and constructive comments and, as a european, thank you to the people of Georgia, and especially Atlanta, for saving the US and the world from darkness in 2020.
LOVE THIS COMMENT 😆🇪🇸 🇺🇸
Since I watched Wiwiblogg’s livestreams in Rotterdam, I can’t get enough of Suzanne. She’s so pure, honest, and funny! So glad she shared her thoughts on Rigoberta, who’s my favorite finalist of Benidorm fest. Go Rigoberta! Go Suzanne!
❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thank you!
Go channel, the best permormamce I have never seen!
@sachabags - so much love!
Happy that "Ay Mama" is spreading those vibes around the world, as spaniard I'm so proud. Thank you for your reaction :D
Thank you for your time and this important message❤️, much much love for everyone !
Thank you for commenting!
Tjarkhill - thank you for watching!
This is the least toxic, most heartwarming, natural and cute performance ever. Both men and women dancing to the feminist message X)
❤️
Better together! So. much love!
I wish this one had won. So much more substance than the booty-shaking, hip shaking hair flinging performance that won. :-(
Yesss my fav wiwiblogger reacting to my fav Benidorm song 💖💖💖
Awww thank you Eri!
Thank you, Eri!
Amazing really LOVE It ❤️🇪🇦❤️❤️❤️
it is through testimonies like Suzanne's (thanks for sharing a so sincere and intimate one!) that Eurovision continues to make sense. Just 2, 3 women are enough to be impacted by the meaning of this lyrics. these 2, 3 women can reflect, they can also do different, pass it on to their offspring (if they have it) and that change will continue to happen in the generations that follow them. This sharing, for me (who was already a fan of the music - along with others from this incredible selection from Spain) makes me even more appreciate this music and Eurovision. Thank you Suzanne!
Thank you, Rui!
@Rui Costa - thank you!
Rigoberta is awesome
I love that "Ay mamá" makes us think, and analyze the world, the weight of patriarchy, and Suzanne with her thoughts reflects this beautifully. This is not only a reaction to the most complete act of Benidorm (art, identity, performance, even if the staging wasn't as good), but also a call to be ourselves, and personally I love this kind of song and entry for Eurovision. Enough divas, enough gorgeous people being flawless. We need more truthful stuff, not the hegemonic standard being reminded every single year.
Thank you, Manuel!
It`s has been a long long time I haven`t interested in this festival. But something great woke me up watching the two semifinals. After going through this long "pandemy" it made me feel so happy. I couldn`t believed that I have lost my hope and faith. It was a pity that only five people of the jury got ruined all of that against most of the spanish people wanted. We lost again. My favourite songs are Ay Mama, Tanxugueiras y Blanca Paloma "Sonidos del Agua" .
I Agree with all you´ve just said. I feel very disappointed.
I am sure I will listen these three songs many times and I WILL ENJOY LISTENING TO THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN
La puesta en escena fue perfecta
I absolutely love your interpretation, you're damn right! It is a celebration to women, more specifically women's breasts and liberation, as the "Liberty leading the people" by Delacroix painting shows (with one breast out). Mothers breastfeeding their kids outdoors are being shamed, women are all being shamed about showing their breasts, even not wearing a bra under a tshirt! Maternity being underrated and not realising that's our next generation. Ageing women and soggy tits (as they call them). The way Belen (main backing vocals) has got unshaved armpits. The way Esteban (partner and father of her child) is supporting the protagonist. The whole piece, although not specifically polished for Eurovision, is making people think, and talk, and that it is wholesome a beautiful all around.❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your thoughts Laura!!
@@Wiwibloggs oh, one more thing, she's got the Empress woven in her dress. She's a big fan of tarot (as I am). Empress means fertility and creation :)
Wait, sorry for asking, but are their names really Belén and Esteban?
@@ShiruSama1 yes 😅
@@lauramedinavalencia6367 that's magical
Love watching this reaction. Such a shame it didn’t win. Could have won ESC.
All women thank Rigoberta for giving us this hymn to our bodies, honoured and respected, and to mums, all their sacrifice, strength and protection, while they are women, human and free. I also love the sorority of the staging and voices.
Channel my favorite so far.
Thanks for putting this into words! I love this song, and I enjoyed your take on it. It is a very important song.
Ganadora😍

Suzanne's my fave wiwiblogger along with deban
Jordan - so much love from myself & our @debanize! We love you, too!
You’te a WISE woman lije Rigoberta 😍

A A
Ay Mamá
[Estrofa 1]
Mama, mama, mama
[Estribillo]
Por tantas mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Todas las mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
[Estrofa 2]
Tú que amarraste bien tu cuerpo a mi cabeza
Con ganas de llorar pero con fortaleza
[Pre-Estribillo]
Mama, mama, mama
[Estribillo]
Por tantas mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Todas las mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama (Mami)
[Puente]
Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Vivan las mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
[Outro]
No sé por qué dan tanto miedo nuestras tеtas36
Shhh they havent showed everything yet. I guess the whole performance and audiovisual will come later. Why would they show the whole stuff so soon? 🤣
The back up dancer that joins her is her cousin!
Also others artists are his real family, the tall boy os his husband, anda others his cousins. Foro me that information make more all performance non comercial full of necesary message😍
Finally someone honest
If she is in Turin, they WILL find a way to make it work!!
2:59 that's an egg cell.
Ahhhhh yes!
Jojo - ahhhhhh! The yogi in me saw a breast & the third eye for wisdom... Thanks for that insight!
Is not a piñata, is an Earth globe represented by a breast. 😂😂
My initial thought was piñata... LOL!
@@SuzanneAdamsYoga 😂😂😂😂
O think the staging was pretty good.
Why does the thumbnail say "interview" when this is a reaction video?
Late night mistake. Thank you for flagging!
Whoops! I gotta say . . . since I've been doing yoga videos for this past month, nothing but respect for our video & graphics editors. Little mistakes are SO EASY to make, especially late at night. Or, perhaps it's foreshadowing & I WILL get to interview Rigoberta!
Slovenian Ema 2022 please ❤️
You rock, cyst-er!
E - OMGeeeee! I'm never going to live down the cyst episode! Happy Eurovision Season! So much love!
The giant boob at the end represents the world that was just created in the big bang that was showed earlier when she was on the ground. it's also a reference to Woody Allen's movie Everything you always wanted to know

Without them there would be no humanity and no beauty
and you know it well
Listen to me
Tell your truth
I think Rigoberta's was much better staged than Chanel which had choreo and.. that's it.
Why is Suzanne describing the performance like she is on Eurovision's rehearsals? We can see the performance Suzanne and we want a reaction!
There is a description and then there is a reaction. A pretty comprehensive one, in my opinion.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
it's more like she is verbal describing for visually impaired people rather than reacting
A good song don't needs to be explained to have sence. I think the lyrics are good and has sence for spanish viewers, but this will not work for Europe. Spain needs a simple but effective song to send to Eurovision and get a good result. No telling a story or send any "message".
Anyone in the ‘Spain flops at Eurovision’ bandwagon is nothing short of a hypocrite.
Hablas mucho
Why all the shouting to make a point?
I can't help it... Insert shrug...
You don't know how it feels when we can't understand so many years listening you bullying Spain for not having a good staging, for thinking that Eurovisión is just a song, for not to put effort in our candidatures, for not having sense enough of the show for the contest ... and now, having the Perfect winner material candidature with Chanel without any doubt and any detail to work, just because you've mistreated us, and I can say it 'cos I remember perfectly Say Yay 2016, you come with a "I want to see Rigoberta Bandini in Eurovision but with a better staging" just because she has a good song and say tits on stage. Oh God, i'm not going to participate in your Circus anymore.
Sorry, no. Chanel or Tanxugueiras for the win.
