THIS IS WHAT ACTULLY HAPPENED IN THE END OF THE CHAT : WHILE CHASE WAS SEARCHING THROUGH THE PROFFESOR'S STUFF AND TALKING TO EMILY AT THE SAME TIME, THE PROFFESOR FOUND CHASE LOOKING THROUGH HIS STUFF, SO THE PROFFESOR KILLED CHASE WHILE HE WAS TRYING TO TYPE THE MESSAGE TO EMILY... AND THE PROFFESOR MOST LIKELY SHOT HIM WITH A GUN SO HE CAN KEEP IT NEXT TO CHASE'S CORPSE SO THE COPS CAN THINK THAT HE KILLED HIMSELF. (like so everybody can see!)

CaptainHand that sums up what I was thinking about Mark's finding him
Chase's signal was lost. He tried to reply but by the time a strong connection was found he saw the flickering light in the hallway. Shit. Chase heard a deep sigh followed by the creaking door. Professor Mark walked in and shut the door ensuring that it did not slam. He had already been to the teachers lounge to stop the cameras and delete the footage and now it was time to get rid of the evidence. He saw that on his desk someone had shuffled the papers and found his secret planner. His body froze, his heart skipped a beat and he could barely breathe. This gave him time to hear the heavy breathing of Chase. He knew that the witness was still present and he could still hide the evidence. Fortunately the science lab had equipment perfect for his crime. Smash. With half a beaker in his hand Professor Mark ran to the door and fished the keys out of his pocket with a trembling hand. Now nothing stood between Chase and Professor Mark. His heavy boots scanned the floor. Chase held his breath for as long as he could. He could see through the keyhole of the cabinet the true killer looming from above. Chase could not hold his breath forever. He let out a gasp of air. Professor Mark jumped he knew what he had to do.
The two bodies were burned along with the Professor's planner. He was never proven guilty and what makes it worse is that he attended the funerals of both students. Emily had tried to show people that he was the murderer but the case was closed with the conclusion that Chase couldn't live with himself after killing Beth and then committed suicide.

I think that Professor Marks caught Chase looking into his date book with Beth's schedules because Chase was at school while texting to Emily and probably the professor too so I think he did something to Chase.
At 17:41 Chase said that he heard "someone coming" and I thinks that was the professor.
I think that Chase is innocent, professor Marks is involved with murder or worse, he is the killer.

MAYBE IT WAS EMILY! Maybe she was following him the whole time. She was the one who killed chase. When she said hello, hello at the end she might've just been doing that so she could show the police and make it look like she had no idea. Maybe she put the stuff in proffeser marks' bag and tried to defend him because if she said it was him, then he would run out to show the police and see her. Maybe she was trying to make it look like it was proffesor marks at first and make chase have no idea that it was her and she would kill the proffesor to make it look like he killed himself so he wouldn't have to go to prison. But her plan backfired and so she had to kill chase too so that he wouldn't tell the police. So by killing him and the proffesor, it would look like the proffesor killed chase and then himself and Emily would pretend that she just found them. And motive to killing Beth: Beth dumped her brother(chase). Cool huh. Like if you like this theory.😀

I have yarn and I could read more and what happened is Emily new where Chase was and turned him into the cops then they found him took his phone and asked him question is kept going on about how much Chase and Emily love each other and then she goes listen chase I know u did it there is no need to lie to me I saw u strangle her I know it was an accident it all got out of hand but you need to tell them that it was an accident then chase replied I know but I can't live behind bars all my life I will die!!!
