Baby birds are Sword-Swallowing Masters! 😮

What's even more amazing about these beautiful tiny birds is that the babies at birth know to stay quiet. They will never chirp when hungry, because they are at risk in every direction from predators. They just open their beaks and wait for mom to feed them.
They're also potty trained at birth. They never poop in the nest. Even at a few days old, they know to lift their rear ends and shoot their poop straight up and out of the nest.
They're also the only birds in the world that can fly forward, backwards, upside down, and/or hover.
Babies leave the nest in just 21-23 days after birth. They all instinctively know that feeders in our yards are for them. They can easiest see red, which is why it's recommended that we use red feeders.
Amazing is such a minimal word for these birds. They're the most awesome birds in existence, imo.
