How Lawrence Kenwright lead a group of scousers to open a grade 2 star building that had been closed for 20 years, after just 9 weeks of purchase. I worked 16 hour days 7 days a week as did many other's, as hard as it was, it was one of the greatest experience's of my life, we had gifted back tour City what would be Liverpool's most known and unique hotel offer, boasting occupancy levels 95%. Sadly we lost control of this site early on during this pandemic.
Lawrence Kenwright stated: "All I have left are my memories of this amazing building, I just hope it stays as a Hotel for generations to walk the corridors once adorned by the Chairman of the White star Line.This is the only building in the entire World that can state it is the home of the Titanic as the vessel itself was registered to this building.
This building was also owned by J.P. Morgan, the creator of America's Federal bank, who own the World's currency the Dollar, he purchased the White Star Line, which was the owner of the Titanic.
It is widely known that J.P. Morgan declined to take his specifically modified cabin onboard the Titanic just hours before it set sail, on it's ill fated voyage. "
I wish the old lady well, as I nursed her back to life only to find she would be claimed by another family x x x
It knocks me sick to see how the so called leaders of our beautiful city could treat you the way they have... Lawrence you're an inspiration.

How have I not watched this video, such a brilliant story. I got married here in 2017. Best day of my life against a beautiful backdrop. It's truly inspirational to see the hard work of Lawrence and his team and confirms to me that we made the right choice in our decision to marry there. The whole process including the initial consultation, planning, meal tasting and the day itself was faultless. Lawrence's team were just incredible throughout and helped give me memories which I will look back on for the rest of my life. I hope one day you can get 30 James St back Lawrence, you deserve it after the wonderful work you did.

Lawrence my Company carried out a few works at James St after you opened and to be honest not fond memories ....especially getting a dishwasher up those stairs 3 weeks before Christmas 2018
But once installed I had the time to see the standard finish and beauty of the building you and your team created

I'm just glad someone with his inspiration and drive was around to save another beautiful building in Liverpool and not see it fall into disrepair like so many other buildings have, well done to everyone involved.
be great to see you and paul feather together he was so much like you with the feathers the bradford and the alicia i was a joiner for him nhe would rush in the workshop first thing with a great idea that had to be done today or better still yesterday. got some great storys working there i must wrire a book good luck for the future

There are no new owners, it has to be sold at some point as the fund that put it into admin, just want their funds back, the problem is Hotels are very hard to fund due to the new World without tourism, once the biz model is proven again then funding will return. The operators are Legacy who the Council use on their Hotel in the docks
