  • Ace salvager Drew Pritchard is always on the lookout for stock for his show room. Today he visits a props warehouse in Liverpool, where a vintage exercise bike catches his eye.
Drew Pritchard, the owner of one of the UK's largest decorative salvage yards, is always on the lookout for new items to replenish his stock, and he has no qualms about scouring the countryside for them. This series follows Drew as he searches for old and lost pieces of history throughout the world, including some opulent estates. But locating them is only half the battle; Drew must persuade the owner of each object to sell it to him for a good price, and then it's off to the scrap yard, where his team restores it to its former glory before selling it for profit.

@@frofro7134 Entitled is someone who live on generation of inherited wealth without working for it,and believes that makes them superior to others.
Slimeball is a repulsive or obnoxious person.
The Bunter comment is a reference to Boris Johnson, the current Crime Minister. Billy Bunter is a fictional character in a book ,who is described thus:
Bunter's defining characteristics are his greediness and overweight appearance. His character is, in many respects, that of a highly obnoxious anti-hero. As well as his gluttony, he is also obtuse, lazy, racist, nosy, deceitful, slothful, self-important and conceited. These defects, however, are not recognised by Bunter. In his own mind, he is an exemplary character: handsome, talented and aristocratic; and he dismisses most of those around him as "beasts". All these, combined with Bunter's cheery optimism, his comically transparent untruthfulness and inept attempts to conceal his antics from his schoolmasters and schoolfellows, combine to make a character that succeeds in being highly entertaining but which rarely attracts the reader's lasting sympathy'

Turning down the torso models at the sculptor's studio was a very bad decision. Drew sometimes gets in his own way when he cannot see profit when it presents itself, and all because he considers a piece "too new". The torso models were priced very reasonable and would've flown off the web site. They would've made perfect decorator pieces and easily tripled his money - even though they're "too new"!

I think at least a certain part of it is ensuring that his stock is consistent. People know that when they buy from him they are always getting something original and relatively old and even if he could make money on something new, that doesn't mean he should.

A lot of publicity and a lot of wasted time but Drew is not doing it for nothing. All the way to London to buy a leg? The money he makes on the boats has been in reality all chewed up by expenses. Drew can't sell these fireplaces, eh? A silly lamp shade? These are the ultimate fireplace surrounds made by the gods of georgian architecture, they were doing the chap a great favour by not buying them. Probably all sold since this programme. Entertainment and publicity. Still a fun programme.
