Thanks Voro for all your help with everything! I have now got Phoenix v5 and it is great. I have this plane and it is and it is amazing, especially because I can use it in the sim. Sometimes I use performance planes and use some of the of the tutorials from your other videos to just freestyle and have some fun. Thank you for all your help and you have been a massive inspiration for me. Keep up the good work!

I agree with you 100%!..., that's why I upgraded mine with Dragonlink...Feel free to visit my channel and watch my recent videos. I recommend you the ones called... "Round trip among the US / Mexico Border " , " Flight to the Edge of the Perrilla Mountains ", and the one called " Flight to the D-hill part 2 "...There are much more, but as an example of the potential of this plane, I recommend this ones. Greetings from Douglas, Arizona.

Thanks for the Show and Tell on the SAFE system. I think you are the only one who has taken the time to give a good on the ground demo of how it works. The manual and even Googling for the information really does not help.

Super Review, hope you do a lot more, because you cover a plane well. Both the narrative and flight were 1st class.
I feel a new FPV build coming on.... This will be great when I hand off to my spotter (son Greg) who is still pretty inexperienced - he can click on the assist and all is good, even if it's hands off for a minute, and as icing on the cake, he can use it to learn on.
I've been meaning to aquire a Spektrum 5 or 6i to use on the Ember 2 indoor plane, and so I can get a UMX Beast and maybe the wacky space taxi thing. So, if you subtract the cost of the radio (which I had to buy anyway), and divide by multi-tasking - (it's at least 3 planes for the price of 1) I ask - how,,,? -- I mean just how can I (in good concience) NOT buy one of these for the fleet?
I sincerely thank you for saving me all that money.
    Scott

Hi, I've been flying my Apprentice for the last couple of months using the included DX5e. But I just bought the new black DX6 and I'm programming it for my Apprentice. Do you have any recommended settings, such as for expos? Also, do you set the aileron servos to more than 100% on your DX9? I see your rolls look much faster than mine.

hey my good friend this was an awesome video this plane is the one I have always wanted I never flown before but I'm on disability because of a bad motorcycle wreck I'm in a wheelchair and it's a money thing right now so I was going to ask your opinion what do you think about the Cessna 182 55.5 wingspand I found one for about 1:55 and 1650 ship so about 175 total I didn't think that was too bad and I did reviews on the plane that seems to be pretty good what do you think about that if you have any good input this was a great video man I enjoyed it I watched it from beginning to end I think eventually I will end up with the E flite apprentice but as of now the Cessna 182 the money situation thanks again good friend for a great video

I see this plane on Amazon and it includes a F-400 transmitter. As I am just getting into this hobby, is the included transmitter going to be one I can use in the future with other planes? I was thinking of getting a FlySky FS-i6 transmitter. Does this plane come without the F-400 TX?

I just purchased and assembled the E-flite Apprentice STS 1.5m. All is going well but I'm confused about the rubber bands. My kit contained 8 rubber bands for the wings and the instructions state to install 8 rubber bands on the wings. This doesn't seem right because I don't know that I can fit all 8 rubber bands on the 4 posts. So I went out on the internet and it looks like you only installed 4 rubber bands which seems more appropriate. Do you think 8 rubber bands is a misprint or overkill? Other STS videos only show 4 rubber bands on their aircraft. Thank you, Jason Boche

@VoroRc. I bought this airplane & it does not perform as per your video.
First off after SAFE initialized in "Beginner's" mode, the self leveling mode works fine but there is no "down" elevator with stick pushed down/forward. All other controls work okay with 'reduced' travel/deflection.
In the "Intermediate" mode, the self leveling is "still active" with the controls surfaces still in a reduced travel/deflection. Same situation when "Advanced" mode selected. This airplane seems to be 'stuck' in Beginner's" mode. I contacted Horizon tech support & could not get this problem resolved.
I'm not confident to fly this airplane without some assurance that every function is correct.
Can you help? Please let me know. I can post my email address.

Nice review, but if dealing with lipos, ditch the factory charger and get your self a descent digital charger. Charge/discharge the battery a few times before its first use, monitor it feels right, no overheating. Get a lipo bag, and if you dont have one, have a bucket full sand, and/or charge the battery outside or the garage. Rarely lipos go bad, but there is always that one battery, and lipos ignite like gun powder, mostly so a 3S.

How many rubber bands did you use??

    • @ricardopr54
      @ricardopr54 Před 9 lety

Use as many as you can. I use 12+, the more the better and the safer. You can use the ones that Walmart sells, the #64 rubber bands. Those are way better and cheaper than the ones that comes with the plane. You can visit my channel and watch my recent videos. You will have an idea of how many I use. You don't want to fly with just a few and have them breake in mid air due to the stress or the sun....and see your plane's wing flying away... better safe than sorry... use common sense. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Build is a term that should never be used with any foamie. You assemble the pre-made parts, no more. To say build denigrates the real model builders.

Dude, do your homework before say something like that... there are people that builds foamy planes from scratch too...Type Flite Test here in you tube and learn. Those guys could make any plane from a pile of Styrofoam panels...Check their channel and learn.
