    Like that you made this using hand cut PPF. Helps us more DIY oriented people who don't have a laser cutter.

    Really good and to the point. T O T H E P O I N T - so good. Excellent explanation of using bulk and not precut. My concern is unusual shapes like headlights. I do wish I understood a little more how to use the heat gun, I have one but am afraid to shrink the PPF. Otherwise thanks and a very good video.

    Thank you for the video. I am trying to do this on my C 63S. Problem is the headlights are very round and I get a lot of fingers. What’s the best way to remove the fingers.

    Thanks for the video! I was just searching your page for this series of Audi A4 just the other day. I have a couple questions.
    1) how much would the kit cost for me to do this on my own?
    2) how do you prepare the headlamp for the application? I bought my 2018 A4 used and the headlamp has very tiny chips in it already. Nothing major just looks like typical wear and tear. No oxidation yet, just very small chips. How would I prepare the plastic lens for the PPF to make it as clear as possible. Thank you!

      Hey, thanks for watching.
      1) cost would $40
      2) If the headlights are in pretty good shape I would just buff them out with a compound, polish and then remove any waxes or oil with a paint prep. After that install the PPF. If your headlights need more attention sand them down as you would for a headlight restoration.

    What type and brand of spray bottles are you're using? For the hot water is it a special insulated bottle?

    What is your prep method for new headlights?

    • @m2mdetail781
      @m2mdetail781  Před 2 lety +1

      I would wipe them down really good and do one pass with a AIO compound. Then use a paint prep to remove any waxes and oils.

    Hi Mark. Do you cut the film on the headlight or over the edge of the headlight?

  • @poddyb4085
    @poddyb4085 Před 2 lety +1

    Where exactly do you make the cut?
    Is it in the panel gap or is it just inside the edge of the headlight?

    • @m2mdetail781
      @m2mdetail781  Před 2 lety +1

      Inside the edge of the headlight. Most headlights if try to wrap over the edge you will spend a lot of time trying to get that to tack down. So pretty much I go up to edge as close as I can.
