    Just want to let you know. I watched this demo a couple of months ago and won a game shortly after on the eight ball bank. Today I won two eight ball banks and pocketed a few conventional banks. Works well. Fun part is when I stand upright looking so pro like I try to do LOL, analyzing the situation, split the difference and drag my cue. Then shoot. I don't say much. Makes me look bada@@. It is true that you have to make sure it is dead center (no up down left or right) with moderate speed. Fun stuff. Thanks for sharing.

    Amazing video! With all the different systems and complexity of those systems, they can become hard to quickly figure out your shot at the table especially in high pressure situations. This is simple and I use a similar system for 2 rail kick so it allows me to use similar systems for both type of kick shots. Thanks for showing us this and keep up the good work. Love the videos and and your simplistic approach. Your a great teacher.

      I've been using this system for a week now and man when I get it right, it is RIGHT ON! Right at the ghost ball. I have found it going long several times which is very puzzling. I've been really making sure no spin, hitting exactly where I need to. After rewatching, I think I'm hitting too slow, not with intentional roll. It has worked too perfectly to not want to use it and perfect it.

    I've used this a lot and it seems to work better if you use the line of diamonds for measuring rather than the rail. I.E. put cue tip on the diamond line not at the edge of the rail or edge of pocket. Not so easy to pivot the cue when the diamond line is in the center of the pocket but it's doable. Center ball or half tip above center seems to be best. As always, your videos are super helpful. Thanks

    Chris I have used your one rail kick system. It does take some work on any part of pool.

  • @coderz4life
    @coderz4life Před rokem +6

    I learned this system a little differently. After measuring the first reference line and find the midpoint, I would parallel shift the cue to the midpoint pointing the cue perpendicular to the rail. You can also use the diamonds as references. Your cue should be pointing to the same final point, then just aim at the point on the rail.
    You can still pivot the cue angle if you need to, but probably not needed if you have the focus.

    • @LilChrisPoolPlayer
      @LilChrisPoolPlayer  Před rokem +3

      I did later learn about this shortcut. It makes it easier than having to try to parallel shift the cue over the destination.

    • @Bratman10
      @Bratman10 Před rokem

      I don’t quite understand what you’re saying here. If the cue is perpendicular to the rail, then where is the parallel shift?

    • @coderz4life
      @coderz4life Před rokem +2

      @@Bratman10 During his explanation, Chris measured the first reference line at the arch of the side pocket. Then from there, found the midpoint between that point in the arch of the pocket to the cue ball.
      At this point, where Chris' cue is on the first reference line pointing at the opposite pocket, this is where I learned it differently. Instead of pivoting the cue, leaving the tip pointing at the opposite pocket and having the butt of the cue over the midpoint, I would just parallel shift the cue so that the butt of the cue is over the midpoint. The tip of the cue will be pointing at the same aim point Chris ends up with after the final step. You can optionally pivot the cue if you need to do so in order to find your shooting line, but I normally skip this step and remember the spot.
      Where Chris mention the parallel shift over the destination, I think it has to do the pivoting before parallel shift, because it may be difficult to maintain that pivot angle. It is easier to see that your cue is perpendicular to the rail rather than some random pivot angle.

    • @MrGrandeflipper
      @MrGrandeflipper Před rokem

      @@coderz4life Wait, so you're basically saying I really don't need to draw lines, just find the damn midpoint and aim and shoot the cue ball at that point on the rail????

    Hi Chris: I have basically used this system for a longtime. However, the booby trap is if unintended left or right spin is present all is for naught. So hitting the ball exactly neutral is necessary for this all to work. The real skill is when a hit with authority is required, understanding the condition of the table, the cloth, the condition of the balls, the firmness of the rails and if any spin is also required knowing how much spin to use. Nice job though. Have a great day.

      So I said that I was going to follow-up here in the comments about this kicking system. In 2 words, IT WORKS! 😄
      Right after watching this, I was able to go to my pool hall and practice and it came pretty quickly. The biggest adjustment that I had to make is my "rolling speed" and not hitting it with any spin. Other than that, I have been using this system ever since I watched it and it really has helped.
      I have even made some kicks that my opponent didn't think was possible! 🤨😮
      If there is only a 1 bank and it's a tough shot, I also go back to this system. If I miss, I think it is because I have not found exactly where the mid-point is.
      Thank you Chris! 😄
      BTW, for future videos, in post production, is there anyway that if you are using a rail, that you can put a dot or line so we can see where you are aiming and hitting. 🤔 Knowing that would be really helpful.
      Once again, keep up with the great videos. 😃
