Partizan: A spear with decent damage and range, but no one expects the R2 or weapon art if you whip it out quickly. I find it great for landing the last 300 or so damage to win a match. Thrail Axe: A hand axe with Quickstep weapon art that allows it to out damage any other weapon with Quickstep (I think). It can stun for 2 hits if you get a counter hit, which is made easy due to the Quickstep. I can't tell you how much I've raged vs people that use it buffed. Pickaxe: Honestly surprised you didn't mention this gem of a weapon since you uploaded a video about how Leo Ring makes this a sleeper weapon like no other. It goes behind shields, has great stability damage, has high AR, lots of hyper armor, all attacks considered thrust, and no one seems to use it, so they think it's a joke until they eat a 600 damage R1. Black Knight Sword: Great damage, and just like all the other BK weapons, has very unique R2 attacks that change depending on if you 1H or 2H. I especially like to wear loose and flowing armor to make it hard to see the wind up for the rolling 1H R2, which is a thrust that has great range and speed. Darkdrift: Mainly because if you whip it out quickly, it can be hard for some to realize what it is allowing for an easier time landing a running R1. Also, Shield Splitter weapon art has more range than most people expect, so it's one of my go-to weapons for dealing with turtles. Really easy to throw people off by rolling in as though for a roll>R1 and instead do roll>L2
The Dragonslayer Swordspear is definitely my favorite, just basically because the stylish weapon art and the fact that the nameless king uses it. Also good in pvp for me
My favorite weapon I've used so far is the profaned greatsword. I suppose it's a pretty standard greatsword, I just love the charged R2 and weapon art making it temporarily erupt in flames because it adds that extra flair, and a bit of damage of course.
DS2 Had terrible lag stabs. Ffs people just shit on the newest Souls game because it's fun to do. You call people who defend DS3 fanboys while making hilarious statements such as that. Remember while DS2 was out, people complained about how op buff builds and katanas were, because they really were op as fuck. Also I don't even want to remember the Ice Rapier, that thing was way more broken than the Estoc ever was.

The Gargoyle Flame Spear and Gargoyle Flame Hammer. The spear has a pretty unique charge weapon skill that ends with a fiery slam and it makes it difficult to punish you due to the AoE splash. The Gargoyle Flame Hammer has the same strength about it, except it doesn't charge, but the AoE splash is much bigger as a trade.
I really like the dragon slayer sword spear people always get caught off guard when you land a lightning strike and the wing knight halberd is pretty neat
Exiled Great-sword was fun when I was using it. It has crazy potential when you are ganked, I've 1v2-3ed gankers multiple times with it's large arcing attacks and great weapon art that hits three times pretty much all around you. It even has some super armor while one-handed and can easily out-trade straight-sword users because of it's higher AR and the super armor.
Man Serpent's Hatchet, Spiked Mace, Warden's Twinblades and Dragonslayers Greataxe. The hatchet has the best range out of all axes and sneaks past shields, plus it looks badass. Spiked Mace has an awesome weapon art that wrecks and has huge range. Warden's TB is awesome with carthus rouge, the bleed on it is insane. Amd DS Greataxe's weapon art is so cool. People underestimate it's hyper armor and will attack you nonstop, only to be one shotted by a direct hit of the weapon art.
Immolation Tinder is my favorite weapon in Dark Souls 3 by far and has a great damage as well. With 18 str/ 40 dex/ 60 int gives me 630+ AR, and is a catalyst :)
I just meet the biggest cancer player of all time 1: had a dark sword and a washing pole 2: had the "forbbiden sun" 3: used every... single... estus but as I somehow manage 2 fight him till he had nothing, charged with my murakumo ... disconects* I give up ds3 pvp 4ever now
The Gargoyle Flame Hammer on a pyromancer can be pretty fun since the int/faith scaling is pretty decent to give it a high enough attack with the fire damage. Izalith staff with a pyromancer leads to fun hex magic (PvE mainly, but I've held myself in PvP). I've also managed to use the staff as a melee weapon to catch the overly-aggressive off their guard. Third weapon I liked to use, while being quite unique, would be the Immolation Tinder. It's not really the best halberd-classed weapon out there, but it can be quite fun when weaving weapon swings and spells like Farron Flashsword. I managed to do quite well on my own against invaders with it even when I was lacking armour because of my dragon stone.
The crystal chime. The single most versatile casting implement offset by generally shit damage output and reduced efficiency for weapon buffs, dark magic, and any miracle which does physical damage.

Dragonslayer Swordspear It has a pretty varied, if odd moveset in that it has Spear, GS/UGS, and Halberd moves on it and that Weapon Art, while on the Impractical Side, is fucking SWEET
Golden Ritual Spear is pretty fun, it's got kinda poor range for a spear, but the fact that it can cast sorceries means you can mix in some farron flashswords into your combos, catch people from range off guard with soul arrows, and it casts them scaling with faith so you can even grab a talisman and put some miracles in your build
I would recommand Gargoyle Flame Spear for the following reason: 1. The longest among Spear and Pike 2. Its moveset is the combination of Pike and Spear, it also ride off the useless "Running Attack" of normal Pike weapons. Which is pretty unique. 3. A powerful and Cool weapon art which can deal tons of damage.
Clerics candlestick. My favorite thing is to spam great deep soul, because it costs so little stamina and fp and is so huge, that the person rolls into you for you to roll catch them with it. You can constantly force them to come towards you as the tracking is insane on great deep soul. One of my favorite wepaons
butchers knife not many people use this weapon but it's REALLY GOD when I use it! the one hand R2 attack does a lunge and two handed R2 is a really good baiting attack. the L2 is good also because it adds a blessing to your butchers knife which is ALWAYS pleasing
My best run was one i did with the full Abyss Watchers cosplay set, and the WKGS. Felt great once i got the hang of the attack timings. Beat the final boss in one attempt as opposed to the 15+ it took me on my first run.
I find it kind of dissapointing how much wasted potential exist in the boss weapon arts. I feel like a majority of them don't utilize even a fraction of the attacks a boss utilizes
Love me the Partisan. Not only is it great for refined scaling, but it's strong attack is pretty damn good at catching people off guard/role catching. The strong attack seems to be very easy to reaction parry if your enemy knows it's coming though, encouraging you to mix up your timmings.
I would say my favorite weapons are: Crow talons because of the unique l2 moves, tailbone spear due it it having a non charge weapon art, crescent moon sword because of the move set and it’s weapon art, Corvian scythe for its bleed and range, and the elionora (or something idk how to spell it) for its cool bell weapon art, But all I’m seeing is dark curved exiles
valorhart's pretty unique. that moveset always throws off those used to parrying normal s. sword movesets. plus, blocking built into most of the attacks!
I know you say it in your Honorable mentions but the MLGS is so much fun in this game, especially on my sorcerer build that uses it paired with crystal caestus and the court sorcerer staff. Spells make people wanna get close and those two weapons throw people off so often.
I can explain why most people don’t use the black knight greataxe’s full moveset. It’s bc they think when they activate the war cry weapon art, they can’t press another button. So they don’t press light or heavy to trigger an attack
The Pike! Lower stats than the lothric long spear, but for a 1v1 if you know when someones going to parry you, and you get your spacing right, you can absolutely grief someone with it. Only really outspaced by ultra greatswords.
The Straight Sword is a pretty fun weapon to use and abuse. I think Gotthard's is a very new and interesting one that they re-mastered in dark souls 3, initially *FROM* Bloodborne, is definitely my best friend, Carthus Flashsword. I especially like it's Bushido Style: Emerald Splash. Give a man a fish, he'll be happy; you put a stick in my hand, you'll be cruisin' for a bruisin'.
Personal favorite is the Greatsword in 2 and 3 because if it’s solid move set one and two handed with its massive amount of damage it’s just really fun to use
Warpick. It's a baby pickaxe, with hammer move set and thrust damage and galvanize. +9 fully charged r2 counterattack does around 700+ damage on my build. Still fun because not many people use the hammer archetype.
Personally, I think the Dark Sword is a really fun weapon ! The blade has a really nice design (even tho I miss the Gold trimming from the DkS2 versions) and it's really satisfying to attack with it. The moveset is also pretty decent with having a really unique R2 combos while 1 handed and it's the only Straight Sword in the game to use the Stomp Weapon Art, making it really unique and unpredictable I think. Tho I've heard that a lot of people think the weapon is kinda weak but I think you can manage to win a lot with it.
Number 1 would be the Carthus curved sword imo. You can achieve maximum fun with it by just repeatedly pressing the r1 button, you can also add a carthus rouge to it for the nice look it gives to the blade. It's just overall a master piece of weapon design and keeps the community together, I've even heard fromsoft is going to replace evry texture in the game with carthus curved sword!
Storm Ruler comes right behind Firelink GS to me, because if the storm charge actually added damage or the unique weapon art had more range, I would use the thing no matter what.
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the Black Knight Sword. It has an amazing move set when one handed and is a personal favorite of mine. You should give it a try sometime.
I honestly really like the variety of crossbows in the game, though thats mostly from a Fashion Souls stance. The Knights Crossbow especially looks fantastic, though I normally use the Heavy Crossbow myself

I like the Warpick and Leo Ring. I got a chaos WP on my Pyro and that's pretty fun.
I like bloodlust, I know it's a katana, but in my opinion, definitely worth the grind. The animation is pretty beast too.
Its also light enough that you can use it as a secondary weapon just pull it out when you need to surprise somebody

2. Its moveset is the combination of Pike and Spear, it also ride off the useless "Running Attack" of normal Pike weapons. Which is pretty unique.

Clerics candlestick. My favorite thing is to spam great deep soul, because it costs so little stamina and fp and is so huge, that the person rolls into you for you to roll catch them with it. You can constantly force them to come towards you as the tracking is insane on great deep soul. One of my favorite wepaons
butchers knife
not many people use this weapon but it's REALLY GOD when I use it! the one hand R2 attack does a lunge and two handed R2 is a really good baiting attack. the L2 is good also because it adds a blessing to your butchers knife which is ALWAYS pleasing
My best run was one i did with the full Abyss Watchers cosplay set, and the WKGS. Felt great once i got the hang of the attack timings. Beat the final boss in one attempt as opposed to the 15+ it took me on my first run.
Still though, the Crossbows from the Sunken King dlc in Dark Souls 2 were probably the best in the series
I find it kind of dissapointing how much wasted potential exist in the boss weapon arts. I feel like a majority of them don't utilize even a fraction of the attacks a boss utilizes
Love me the Partisan. Not only is it great for refined scaling, but it's strong attack is pretty damn good at catching people off guard/role catching. The strong attack seems to be very easy to reaction parry if your enemy knows it's coming though, encouraging you to mix up your timmings.
I love the weapons with Perseverance, gives me sweet memories of poise and always fucks up the RB spammers.

I would say my favorite weapons are:
Crow talons because of the unique l2 moves, tailbone spear due it it having a non charge weapon art, crescent moon sword because of the move set and it’s weapon art, Corvian scythe for its bleed and range, and the elionora (or something idk how to spell it) for its cool bell weapon art, But all I’m seeing is dark curved exiles
valorhart's pretty unique. that moveset always throws off those used to parrying normal s. sword movesets. plus, blocking built into most of the attacks!
I know you say it in your Honorable mentions but the MLGS is so much fun in this game, especially on my sorcerer build that uses it paired with crystal caestus and the court sorcerer staff. Spells make people wanna get close and those two weapons throw people off so often.
I can explain why most people don’t use the black knight greataxe’s full moveset. It’s bc they think when they activate the war cry weapon art, they can’t press another button. So they don’t press light or heavy to trigger an attack
The Pike! Lower stats than the lothric long spear, but for a 1v1 if you know when someones going to parry you, and you get your spacing right, you can absolutely grief someone with it. Only really outspaced by ultra greatswords.
The Straight Sword is a pretty fun weapon to use and abuse. I think Gotthard's is a very new and interesting one that they re-mastered in dark souls 3, initially *FROM* Bloodborne, is definitely my best friend, Carthus Flashsword. I especially like it's Bushido Style: Emerald Splash.

Personal favorite is the Greatsword in 2 and 3 because if it’s solid move set one and two handed with its massive amount of damage it’s just really fun to use

Warpick. It's a baby pickaxe, with hammer move set and thrust damage and galvanize. +9 fully charged r2 counterattack does around 700+ damage on my build. Still fun because not many people use the hammer archetype.

Personally, I think the Dark Sword is a really fun weapon ! The blade has a really nice design (even tho I miss the Gold trimming from the DkS2 versions) and it's really satisfying to attack with it. The moveset is also pretty decent with having a really unique R2 combos while 1 handed and it's the only Straight Sword in the game to use the Stomp Weapon Art, making it really unique and unpredictable I think.
Tho I've heard that a lot of people think the weapon is kinda weak but I think you can manage to win a lot with it.

The lack of Hexa-Wield Avelyn disturbs me
Number 1 would be the Carthus curved sword imo. You can achieve maximum fun with it by just repeatedly pressing the r1 button, you can also add a carthus rouge to it for the nice look it gives to the blade. It's just overall a master piece of weapon design and keeps the community together, I've even heard fromsoft is going to replace evry texture in the game with carthus curved sword!
Storm Ruler comes right behind Firelink GS to me, because if the storm charge actually added damage or the unique weapon art had more range, I would use the thing no matter what.
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the Black Knight Sword. It has an amazing move set when one handed and is a personal favorite of mine. You should give it a try sometime.
