My cat sleeps next to my pillow, facing me, and before we fall asleep she likes to "hold hands," where I gently rub her paws and she makes biscuits into my hands. She actually starts twitching her tail if I *don't* touch her paws, which is very adorable and endearing 💖

All of the above, but at night he is usually across my ancles, using one as a pillow. Sometimes he is on my pillow next to me and, sometimes, he is next to me. Throughout the day he could be anywhere.

I Sleep on my stomach with one leg bent out to the side. My cat sleeps in the space of the bent knee and straight leg. She's so weird!!But that's my baby!!❤

My bed used to be the point of territory. The scuffles were fairly serious bouts.
Worked on this one. Now it is a safe zone ~ and they cuddle and hold each other. They groom each other. Spicey'D and Grandmaster Puff have become a beautiful bonded pair.

When I was still at my mother's house and my sister had rescue kittens as a Christmas gift, one was already really social, but the second one had a visible lack of socialisation, or even on some point looked like he got separated from his mother way to young, he didn't clean itself or cared little for it. I worked on it with him, at his pace, and a month later he was like almost transformed, very social with people he knew and still a bit wary of strangers, but other than that I successfully learned him how to groom himself by well doing it with proper hygiene tools for him.
This cat would only slept at night with me out of all people, usually at least half of the night, on the pillow with his bottom against my torso, his head against my mouth, but still the nose in direction of the doors. He would usually leave during the night and I would wake up in the morning either by him who returned to sleep with me, either alone and the moment I would make a sound he would be here in the seconds after it to snuggle
A few time, because my mother leave to the cats a permanent way outside even at night, he would come back with some preys he catched during the night. The thing is, he would do that almost only when I was alone at home, mostly during the weekend when my mother and sister were away. Sometimes getting those dead prey just on the floor near my bed. So I guess that he considered me family in some sort of way and even though it can be heartbreaking to see those dead animals, especially while waking up cause they were literally on the floor of my bedroom, I know he meant very well, and I'm happy he considered me as much as a part of the cat family that I considered him as a part of the human family
What a touching story! You did an amazing job helping that kitten learn to trust and groom himself. It’s clear he formed a special bond with you, even bringing you gifts to show his affection. Despite the occasional surprise, it’s heartwarming to know he considered you family. 🐱❤️
During the winter between my legs. In the summer next to me or no where to be found. Well, until 6 am when when he want's food. Putting a paw on my face until he gets fed. He is like an alarm clock.

I note with approval how you managed to say something positive about each location. My cat usually sleeps on the foot of my bed. Well, I toss and turn, so it's both close and safe. I am usually pretty good about being aware of her location.

Our precious Hannah slept in the crook of my arm when I laid on my side and in between my legs when I was on my stomach. Dueing the cooler months, she would want me to pull the blankets over her when she was next to me. She stayed there all night.

I had a mini panther from 2005 until she crossed the rainbow bridge about a year ago. One of her favorite sleeping spots was - inexplicably - on my right thigh.

You forgot the one where the cat sleeping in front of you facing the door butt towards you can be a sign of him guarding you. Combined with several other characteristics of a confident cat is a good indicator.

My cat Jack always slept need the cover, stretching the length of my leg. He owned me. His sister Jill always slept on the pillow next to my head with her paw on my face. They lived to 17 and 19. I miss them so much.😻

Our Lucy sleeps right up on my chest with her butt facing me. And our Buddy sleeps right next to her...right on my chest.
My cat likes the pillow
Barren is about 12 weeks old. We rescued him and his sister (a friend adopted her). He first lays and takes a short snooze on my chest/neck. But when he’s ready to settle in for the night he sleeps above my head on my pillow. Sometimes we even wake up with him between my husband and I. Though he has a couple ways he sleeps, it’s faithfully with us in our bed every night. During the day he might nap on my lap if I’m sitting down but he presses his “pocket” on his cat tree. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
All of my cats over the years have always slept with some part of their bodies touching me often a paw draped over me or hugging my hand or arm to their head I don't move around much at nite so they are comfortable that way I guess
During the night my cat usually sleeps on the chair just beside my bed, where I put my clothes. When I need to open the terrace door, she runs over me to wake me up, lol. During daytime she chooses several different spots in the house. On my wife‘s bed, my bed, the sofa, on the book shelf, in her basket on the scratchpost or on the floor or on a cupboard.

I had a cat that used to sleep in the crook of my knees, as I slept on my stomach mostly. At the cat did until I rolled over in the middle of the night. LOL She started sleeping at the foot of the bed after that. ;-)

Depends on how I’m positioned but either right next to me, laying across my chest, by my ankles or on their own pillows in the table beside my bed. When it’s cold my ginger prefers to be under the blanket next to me 😊

Our cat Lucy likes to help me make the bed everyday. She must hear me moving the blankets around because she always comes running. She jumps up and sits in middle of the bed so i will throw the sheets over her and make the bed with her in it. After the sheets, she crawls out and gets back on for the repeat with the light blanket. And once again she gets out and back on for the last layer...the comforter. I dont know what she is loving so much but its gotta be something! Now only if she would make the bed herself!

I had a health problem where I had to sit to the front of the couch with my feet on the ground for a few months. My cat decided she liked to sleep behind me in the space behind my back to the back of the couch. Now, I can sit normal, but she meows and carries on until I sit forward. If I move, she moves. I am not sure how to get her to sit at my side again. Any ideas or tips? It is weird because I can pet her if she is at my side, but not behind me.
