    Nice video. I like that you covered a lot of smaller stuff that the other reviews ignored.

    Good walk-around. I have a Z554 Husky with the FX751V Kawasaki that I had to buy last summer in a hurry when my previous mower was stolen. This mower works well when I can keep it all together, but I have had way too many problems with it in only 60-70 hrs. It is in the shop again now. A bad combination of no pre-delivery inspection by selling dealer and crappy quality control on the part of Husqvarna. The Rogue 5400 Kawi FX850V (only choice with smaller deck) is on my short list. I look forward to some mowing/functional reviews. Thank you.

    Good video. I have a 2020 as well with the Yamaha efi, and that motor is complete junk. It has 61 hours on it and I had to replace the entire throttle body assembly because Yamaha will not sell just the tps sensor. It took 8 months to get the pos fixed and it still does not run right. My dealer was great about everything, but Yamaha nor Badboy really cared to get it fixed in a hurry, or give any help at all. I also found out that Badboy does not even offer the Yamaha anymore, wonder why?

    Great detailed review! I've owned a Bad Boy fully commercial "Lightning" which was the predecessor to the "Outlaw" which was (I think) the predecessor to the Renegade. Mine is an '09 model with a 60" deck. It has the 26 hp liquid cooled Kawi....which I'm very happy with. Plus, my BB dealer is a little less than a mile up the road from me! Good luck with the new toy.....uh....I mean "tool". :-) Stan

    The 2020 rebels doesn't come with a suspension seat standard, its a option

    Hopefully that engine holds up, all my local dealers stop buying mowers with yamaha, because they have had nothing but issues out of them.

      I've been a marine mechanic for 21 years. I have no worries about this engine. Nor would I with the kawasaki. I personally wouldn't buy the Kohler. I think your "dealers" are feeding you a line. Talk to the mechanics, not the sales man

    I just put money down on this a 2022 Rogue with the same motor but thinking about switching to the Kawasaki FX1000 EFI version.

    something I don't understand or maybe I missed something but the filters on the bottom of the reservoir looks like they are not doing anything. should it be right off of the pumps. I couldn't tell if there a hose under them.

    • @tjfloyd609
      @tjfloyd609  Před 2 lety +1

      I would have to say the reservoir has machined passages.

      Me too. Lots of empty space around the Yami in the engine bay.

    Looks like it is built like a tank. The Yamaha engine sounds great. Bigger mower than I need so I’m thinking of getting the ZT Elite. How’s the mower been working since your purchase? Thanks for sharing your video.

    I've been seriously thinking about the Rouge. I think the EFI is a benefit over the Kawasaki. So what is your opinion after 10 months? I would be using mine for 19 acres. Thanks 👍

    Yamaha engine is underpowered for this application. The Vanguard big block EFI is a beast on the Rouge. The engine powers up automatically in tall grass to keep rpms consistent.

    • @tjfloyd609
      @tjfloyd609  Před 2 lety +1

      I would have to disagree. Have you ran one? I have mowed acres of 4-6 feet tall field. Zero issues with lack of power. And for me, ill bet the yamaha outlasts the vanguard.

    • @jimmiekaelin4804
      @jimmiekaelin4804 Před 2 lety

      The Yamaha is at the peak of his performance capability on the Rouge. That is why they are last to sell on the showroom floor. It works on the Rouge, as does the 800 plus cc Kawasaki engines under certain conditions. The answer to whether the Yamaha engine is underpowered for certain applications is easy to figure out. All you have to do is look at what the major brands are equipping their top heavyweight models with. You will notice Yamaha is not offered on the Renegade, Bad Boy’s biggest baddest model. Nor is it offered on Farris’s, Wright’s and other heavyweight brands either. The Vanguard big block is. There is a reason... the Vanguard is more powerful and built for heavy use. As to whether it will outlast a Vanguard big block under the same operating conditions remains to be seen. I have my doubts.

    • @tjfloyd609
      @tjfloyd609  Před 2 lety +2

      Haven't answered if you have ran one or not. So I'm guessing thats a NO. I understand it is less hp than the vanguard. I ordered this one, and the yamaha was my choice. I also understand its not offered on the biggest, baddest renegade. But I didnt buy a renegade, did I?! And to say the yamahas are last one left on the lot? I dont agree with, and if thats the case in your area its more then likely because they cost more.
      But hey, if you don't like my review, or are not happy with my purchase, thats ok🤣🤣
      I have been very happy with my Rogue and the Yamaha that powers it. It has done everything I've asked it to do on my 10 acre property!

      That is fantastic that you like your purchase. I hope it serves you well. But you posted your review to solicit opinion, and now you’re all tied up in a knot because someone said something negative about the Yami. It’s okay. Relax and enjoy. Opinions are just that... everybody’s got one.

      Briggs & Stratton quality has been in the shitter my friend. I’d take Kawasaki or Yamaha over the Briggs like most professionals recommend.

      So what do you own? And what do you mow? And so what do you expect to see from a commercial mower?
