- Here's one of the six giant Morgan coasters and the last one to be built in the USA (1999). Can you name the two that were built after this one?
Check out the off-ride video we posted to see more of what this thrilling coaster looks like: • Steel Eel off-ride HD ...

I have never ridden this and I can still feel that "falling out of seat, this lap bar is barely keeping me alive" feeling
A Bird Lover It feels exactly like that. Rough and you actually float then fall flat on your butt thrice!
I’ve rode it twice because of my friends and I swear I thought I was gonna fall out but I mean afterwards it was a really fun ride
A Bird Lover That feeling is called airtime
That feeling is called airtime.
I rode it three or five times, and I wanted to vomit. This thing was hell to my digestive system.
Super underrated. The floater this thing gives is insane... the lap bar is pretty far from you so it feels awesome.
onlyonerichie it hearts when you can on the small hills
Eh, i've been on this thing so much that it's a joke to me.
In the front, amazing floater! In the back, amazing floater but slam your butt onto the seat! Very Underrated coaster in my opinion, love the floater
@@colemouledous4817 relatable lol
@@colemouledous4817 and the front is the best seat to be alone tbh
My first ever coaster when I was young. I LITERALLY felt like I was gonna fall out, I kept pushing the bar down. Scary.
1120go same I am I rode this at the same age though hell right?
1120go me too wow
Me too, my first ever roller coaster and I was like flying
Yea same here except I was 7 and passed out twice and literally almost fell out from my seat
Same I was like 6 and I cried the whole way up
Oh boy! I rode this yesterday and it feels like the longest ride ever! i feel floating the whole time!
Yea
I live in San Antonio, but Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the only park I religiously buy season passes to. Sea World's prices have just gotten outrageously expensive. But that being said, this is one of my favorite coasters EVERRRRR. You see that first drop hill clear across the city driving down the highways....and it's like it's beckoning me to come give it a ride. I miss you Steele Eel!!!
When u look at it from far away looks fine and gentle and when u get on it it is CRAZY!!!
man i remember this, i went there last year, i remember being clueless, i was like, naww this isnt too bad, i got on with my dad and brother, my dad being next to me and my brother behind us, then we were moving and i was sooo exited(this is my first roller coaster) we got to the top i was like wow, this view is amazing! then i looked down and was like.. oh shit..., i held onto that dam thing like it was my life, we went racing down and i was screaming my heart out, i was closing my eyes most of the ride because i was terrified, this ride does not last but a few seconds, but that dam thing felt like an eternity, like this comment if you were afraid of roller coasters as well...
SpitThatMilkyMilkOnMyThighs Kinda the same story for me and my dad a few years ago.I really wanted to go beverages as you know there is barely any rides at the park compared to six flags.
We gotten to the top I looked around saying “this isn’t so bad-“ that was the last few words i said that whole day I screamed the whole damn ride and there was 5 years old in front of me saying it was good and I was 10
Traumatize if anyone mentions the park or the ride
Same kind but I was like 5 or 6 when I went on the tower of terror bc my dad convinced me that it was a little elevator ride and that I was like those busses that go up and down. I was traumatized and haven’t gone on since
I just went on it 5 minutes ago...
I'm Traumatized.
SpitThatMilkyMilkOnMyThighs My mom and dad forced me to go on roller coasters when I was little so I would like them when I got older. I absolutely love roller coasters now.
SpitThatMilkyMilkOnMyThighs need to fight your fears tho 😂
I felt my stomach dip laying on the couch. Quite a ride.
it was fun though
Oh believe me, I was on it
@@fnwzcrooked9571 I also was
Coaster design has really come a long way.
I mean, it had already come a long way once this was built - it's not that old. By 1999 there were already some incredible coasters out there, this was just built in a traditional hyper-coaster style.
it's not that old? I remember riding this when I was a kid. I'm now 22
Nemesis at Alton Towers is still one of the best in the world and that was built in 1994
Indeed:v
I rode this coaster before, and it is a rough ride but scary too. I don't know if it was the humps that made it scary, the lap bar didn't seem like it was tight enough, or the fact that it feels the whole ride is going to run off the tracks. I was so terrified...lol.
your right. it just seems scary because the coaster train itself is slightly wider than the track so loose your sense of attachment to the track. the vortex (arrow coaster) at kings island is like this except that the vortex has inversions and it has a steeper first drop.
😂😂😂
GP
They just repainted it(purple and yellow), the park has 3 new attractions and a new turtle aquarium that opens the beginning of may. Their Shamoo stadium also got maintenance and upgrades.
The track is so thin
Craig Zorzy what makes you think that?
Zonies Coasters it just looks thinner than most track types 🤷🏻♂️
Zonies Coasters I'm not GP I swEaR
Intamin’s are even thinner
well in like 10 years there hasn't ever been a single issue. Great engineering
Took my 8 year old daughter on this yesterday, it was her first official roller coaster and she LOVED it!!! She's ready for all the thrills now, just like her momma ❤️.
Wow talk about chucking her in the deep end 🤣 go big or go home I suppose, it's good that your little one enjoyed it, I'm bloody 30 and still haven't conquered my fear of them
I’m 24 years old I’ve stared at this ride for years never once getting near the line. That changes on June 15th
Took advice of commenters on here and rode in the back yesterday after trying the front. I have NEVER gotten so much air time on any coaster like I did on this one! There are so many dips that you are out of your seat constantly--it's awesome!! Best coaster in San Antonio (Wonder Woman was closed at Six Flags), though Poltergeist and Cliffhanger were fun too (at SFSA)
that is a massive ride footprint.
Everything is bigger in Texas ya know

I remember going on this ride when I was younger and I cried the whole ride and then I told myself that I was never going on another roller coaster ever. Also my dad just laughed at me the whole time
The way this was my exact experience. Didn’t ride another coaster for 12 years when I started operating them
@@catloversjt653 yeah i was around 8 i think when i went on that ride and refused to go on one till i was about 14 and it was just a small one. i still refuse to go on any really big ones now and im 18 lol
I will feel like that at 30, only it's my older brother laughing at me 🤣
This is MY idea of a great roller coaster. No loops,...just a lot of air time! :-)
My first ever coaster
I remember being on top of the first hill, being able to see a little too much San Antonio from up there. My dad and I were like “Aw hell yeah, sick view” and then we look at each other and go “Oh wait”
I got on that ride and came off of it shaking
Kimora Daniel same and after I rode it the first time my friends made me do it again
Ella Grace dang that’s abuse
Kimora Daniel was it scary?😂
Caitlin Rose yeap
I've been on this ride maybe 100 times. Six flags obviously has better coasters though. Superman is still my favorite
Its so intense, he cant even hold the camera straight
Im sorry, its a joke, i love your videos
United Coaster ...its a gopro attached to his head

This ride was more intense than any ride I had ridden in Fiesta Texas.
Even iron rattler? They’re both pretty intense to me!
New paint job last season! Looks better with the darker color. Great out and back. Lots of air time.
This was the first and essentially last roller coaster I ever went on. I rode it with my dad when I was about 6 or 7 on a family vacation. Scared me so bad I didn't go on another one for years. The last one I rode was a small one in 8th grade after which I gave roller coasters up completely cause I can't handle them. Respect to the people that enjoy them though.
Psh I didn't scream...
I just held on using all my strength and hoped to go to heaven
Me to
@BUP BOI Yeah and 600 more likes in your comment you gotta be in another place
BUP BOI
I cried...
it’s only 150 feet, it’s tame.
Same
Oh i remember going on this and on the way up I cried 💀but it was pretty fun afterwards. everyone that was on the ride with me gave me a fist bump :)
The two Morgan coasters that were built after this one were Steel Dragon 2000 @ Nagashima SpaLand and Superman, El Último Escape @ Six Flags Mexico
How can you dislike a roller coaster video
This coaster looks like a coaster thats like “this lap bar is useless”

This was my first coaster and it was so awesome!
Got on this one for my first rollercoaster ever even tho im 17 thankfully I got to sit with a fellow Rick and Morty fan who comforted me :)
I went on it yesterday AHHH first roller coaster I have ever been on and it was so awesome
This was the very same roller coaster that I conquered my fear on. Thank you Steel Eel for giving me my courage back once again. :)
This Ride was Literally
the Best
this ride looks so underrated wow
I believe Steel Dragon 2000 and Superman at Six Flags Mexico were the two Morgan coasters built after this one.
Too bad Steel Eel is reportedly rough. There seems to be a lot of airtime on this!
Yeah Mamba, Steel Force, Steel Dragon 2000, and Superman: El Ultimo Escape are considered to be a lot better than this one
Steel Eel is rough in the backrow because the airtime is really strong. On the way down you just fall back to your seat like you´re falling on concrete. xD
Its not rough at all if you don't ride in the back, its actually a really awesome ride
Steel Eel in the back half is very rough, I rode it about 4 years back but my first time riding this scared me so bad flu from the shaking and I rode every tallest ride I could find too. I don’t know if it changed since then but from the video it looks the same
Zander Rabbit nitro in not made by Morgan it’s made by b&m
i’ve had so many chances to ride this coaster and never actually got on (every time i would get close to it i’d have a panic attack) but this summer i’m finally gonna do it :)
Did you do it? :)
@@PMB827 I did!
@@zoeynealgreat job!!
I've always been intimidated by this coaster when I've done to SeaWorld.. it wraps around the whole park and can be seen from very far away. maybe next time I will have the courage
That first drop is gonna huuuuurt (hence why you barely hear any yelling) but it’s so worth it in the end
Is the train empty with a cam, or is the guy just sitting on there quietly??? 🤣 Asking for a friend
CantWaaait it’s some guy riding silently ig, you can see the shadow of their hand holding the camera at 1:23
That’s a fast LIFT HILL!!
THEAMERICANBRANDGAMER in person it’s actually not that fast of a lift but that’s just my opinion for the times I’ve rode it
Rode this 6 times today. FUN!
This seems like my type of roller coaster. No twist and turns. Just hills and dips.
All I said when I went on this ride was “woohoo, wee, so fun” I wasn’t screaming, I was talking
I literally thought I was going to heart attack after this ride... It literally feels like you are going to fall out. My ass was so high up off the seat lol! It’s part of the thrill but this coaster was scary to me I only rode it once lol
When I see this, I always think of hearing the loud as hell braking system roaring across the park as the coaster hits that hill in the back corner. You could hear that thing from the far side of the massive Sea World parking lot. Lol!
I want to go all the rides because I love roller coasters
I went on this ride when I was 8, I’m pretty sure, but I went on it with my aunt, dude I held on so tight that I barley looked up, this ride is so intense that I was traumatized but I still love roller coasters, I was trembling after, I’m pretty sure the first drop is 150km up, but I mean try it if you want
Great Humpback coaster! Been on it a few times! loved it
This was the scariest ride I’ve ever been on, but it was super fun
I would love to ride this! Looks very similar to Dorney Parks steel Force and as well Mamba and steel dragon 2000 ! LOOKS PRETTY LIT! I’m no actual coaster enthusiasts but I love any kind of ride, wooden to steel. I still need to ride a RMC. GREAT VIDEO
ZION V My bros went on the mamba in Worlds of fun I think?🤔
I remember going to that coaster when I was like 8/9 or something like that. My older cousin told me it wasn’t really fast so I went with her, and when we dropped, I started screaming so hard 💀 my other cousin from far away even heard me scream and at the end the 2 people in front of me were talking to my cousin laughing abt how I was screaming 😭
I went on this when I was 11 and after I litrally could not stand luv my legs were fallin xx 😚 💅
gp
Does anybody else watch this on their phone, put it full screen and move your phone with the ride to make it more realistic?
Sitting in the very front seat makes this ride wayyyyy easier! Now, sitting in the very back is much more exciting haha
This was my first rollercoaster.
I had just gotten out of the 1st grade in 2003, and my grandparents and I got on board.
It was fun until the lift hill was over with.
Me and my grandmother were seated in the very back, so we had the worst of all the negative g force this thing has.
I was shaking like never before by the time I got off this ride lol
This is the best ride i have rode on SeaWorld San Antonio without screaming, and with my hands in the air
This coaster was so effing rough when I went on it.
This is a great ride .
Ive been here and I almost regretted everything, I was scared and I was with my cousin and got to the dip I felt like I was going to fall out but when you feel like your going to fall out its a fun experience
Love this ride
I went on this a couple years ago when we went on our family trip to Texas to visit family. It was super fun in my opinion and like a lot of coasters now, underrated. I loved the air time and stuff so I went on it twice. This thing nearly took my glasses off! I didn't go on a third because I got paranoid after they closed the ride for a bit due to restraint malfunctions O.o
Legit my first ever coaster and by far the scariest. You just don’t feel safe, at any point.
I’ve been on this thing when I was 7 I was right at the height minimum I was shivering up the hill then I drop down I could not feel my chest I was screaming like a freaking 3 year old but after all it’s a good ride really recommend.
*Underrated*
Nice video!
I noticed what looks like a second, additional antirollback sawtooth going up the lift (on the left-hand side, facing sideways) - was that a retrofit after it opened or something?
no only one anti-roll back row
Thats actually the shadow of the antirollback in the middle.
i have no idea what you just said-
Arnold Gotch the anti-rollback system is the sound you hear when going up the lift hill. It is there so if a train stops on the lift hill it doesn’t rollback down the hill. Hope this helps.
Great video thank you I visited the park just recently for the sesame street xmas parade at SeaWorld in San Antonio Texas
Smooth and gentle ride for everyone..
I had the worst feeling and I was ready to fly out of that ride I had screamed I love jesus on the top of my lungs during that ride
*Wheredidthetimego * Getting ejected out of your seat is perfectly safe, it’s a fun sensation called airtime
I was in so much shock when I went on this at 9. It may look cool or not high in the video, but its so scary in real life. I don't think i'd ever go back on it if I had the chance. I couldn't scream I couldn't move i couldn't cry. The one thing I could do though, is trick my older brother and dad to go on it by saying its not bad or scary its greattt, heads up its scary as hell.
It was terrifying but really fun at the same time
This ride is so intimidating
Its not to bad....
This is my first rollercoaster ever. When I rode I kept a straight face through it all.
When you look at the video your like oh that’s so fun when you get on the ride OH HONEY 🍯
First time I rode this was when I was 8 years old.
It was scary, but fun.
I was 9, i cried on it 😂
Bruh y’all couldn’t take that when I rode fury 325 no problem when I was 10
I cant believe got into this roller coaster dude 😂
the track looks like its not a deep drop but it is a long way up and back to the ground and this was my first ever time going on a roller coaster and im just proud i rode a long one now but still its deadly but i think they made to ride for you to get a chance to say hi to god
No screams or excited chatter. Couldn't have been THAT good
Its so scary the lap bar is like so far from you so like your just jumping throughout the ride and it feels like your gonna fall off i nearly cried on it
Been on the steel eel and wavebreaker in San Antonio
Awesome
I rode all the rides at sea world san Antonio...Im proud of myself
Its a fun coaster....blast.....
There may be a lot of B&M hyper coasters out there and Intamin Megacoasters are unbelievably overrated. Even one arrow hyper (the big one) get's attention. Not sure why Morgan's don't. I mean, yes, too many of them are too similiar. If you'd ridden Steel Force you've ridden Superman, steel dragon b4 the new restraints, etc. This one has the variation though and steel phantom's revenge is the way it is for a reason (still wish they'd kept it a loop or something though tbh, the cobra roll was rough but the rest was fine). Morgan never got enough credit, they probably could've worked on cool variations over time had they gotten more orders. Shame they don't have them work on some older arrow's instead of scrapping them, or doing something like only taking out some inversions. Anaconda at kings dominion keep the first loop, vortex at kings island keep a loop or two but mega/hyper it. This could've been done to one's now gone too. Heck I mean technically couldn't they work on vekoma too? Fix Ninja at St. Louis, I don't think only new restraints and reprofiling would do the job (though it'd help, ninja into blue hawk at SFOG is the most underrated coaster in the park).
me researching every ride my friends trying to get me to go on.AND ITS A NOPE
Yeah I just went on it today and I almost passed out 9 times never going on that again 😅
The very first coaster I ever rode
Steel Eel is a pretty awesome airtime-heavy coaster!
It´s really, really awesome in the front. In the back you just feel like falling 2m straight on concrete. :D
That was the very first ride I went on and it was in my hometown
I remember when I went to seaworld for the 1st time in 2016 and I rode it like 5 times nonstop.
I’ve been there it’s a fun ride
I went on this rollercoaster with my friend thinking it was another ride. We were 5 and 6 but we were tall enough so when we got to the drop my life changed. My fear of roller coasters went away.
best rollor coaster ever
I remember going on this when I was 8 years old
This ride was my favorite
Track type (material design) looks similar to the mamba at worlds of fun and was built around the same time as this one.
this was three years ago !! wow , now the big poles are purple haha
Morgan went all out with this one
floater time looks insane.
i just rode this.. first rollercoaster ever, was so scared but its safe! a seatbelt and safety bar, they check it too.. the drop was TERRIFYING but great you kinda fly up a bit but its great
I just went on this ride yesterday with my friends! we thought we were floating at one point!
E.M. Malcolm you didn’t only thought it, you experienced airtime
And airtime is a normal occurrence. Rides like this are designed for airtime, and the restraints are designed to keep you secure during airtime moments.
I like roller coasters like this, long ride with no loops and twists. Still is scary though!
