We love this product. Great design and is very versatile. My only gripe is we are on our second one now. It is used in the sun quite extensively, and for the price, it is as durable and not as waterproof compared to my cheaper tarp. But love the design and will continue to use it. Great review.

Maybe a wall or two if the rain is sideways, or sun!

I like stuff coming out of a bag, being sturdy and functional. Great concept.

Great stuff! I have a fixed awning on my Disco4, but this is certainly a good option for those who don't want a fixed one. By the way, would you mind if I asked about that spare wheel on the top? I need one for my Disco4. Cheers.

The spare or the mount? The spare is a L405 space saver, it’s mounted on the rack with a Front Runner spare wheel mount, and a bloody huge padlock, I live in London 😬 👍🏻

I'm using a Frontrunner awning on a movable arm, so it can be opened on the side or rear of the car - works great, I don't do much off-roading so the whole issue with branches getting caught isn't a concern for me :)

I was looking at this awning also! does looks good but still abit of a faff and pretty expensive for what it is, I am now looking at changing tent set up to an Oztent and then the front porch of it can attach to the vehicle and act as the awning? should be a quick set up and the tent is up at the same time! :)

less than 2 mins to set it up, not a “faff” . Oz tent is too big for the vehicle in the bag on the roof, IMHO 2M in length, looked at them, thought they would work, sticking with this, for now.
Not too worried about the quick set-up craze anymore, if I can get all my stuff set-up in about 10 mins, I’m happy.

i think as you found with the other awning the faff comes from if it is windy. I could imagine the moon shade taking off for a sail in the wind but it is the same with all other systems. yeah the length of the OZtent is a pain but should go on the roof rack ok? I am sticking with my decathlon blow up tent for now as skint but thinking about next year@@Overlanding4WD
