      Thanks for the comment. I used mine over the July Fourth holiday for shade on the river bank. Hope you enjoy your trip.

    Man. Your TJ makes me miss my old TJ's. I had 3 throughout that generation while in the military and had 2 JK's as well. My current rig is a fully built (about 25k in parts) 2020 JLUR that I've had since new and use her for overlanding and spending quality time with my daughter. My plan is to keep this rig for the long haul but buy a green 2005/6 TJ Sahara w/ tan interior and tan top and do a frame off resto. Plans for that will not be as crazy as all my other Jeeps but make it super nice with only 31, maybe 32's just to square her off and to just cruise her around from time to time. Garage queen of coarse. Anyway, I really like your rig.

      Thanks, I love the little TJ. I’m currently saving up for a JKUR(can’t afford the JL right now). I would love to have more room and a larger footprint for a roof top tent. I’m trying to hang on to the TJ though. Enjoy this time with your daughter. I have two daughters and they grow up fast. You only get one opportunity to spend quality time with them, make the most of it. Good luck with your build.

      @@Steve_Chandler You got that right, I'll be 50 in the not too distant future and shes 10. I spend every weekend with her and she's my life for now. I thought I really wasnt going to like the 4 door since Ive have 5 other 2 doors, but the 4 door is so damn nice. If you get a JKU, make sure you DO NOT get the 3.8. I think theyre 2007-2011? The engine and transmission are horrible.

    Cheers. I do like the size of that awning but I reckon a 270 awning would be quicker and easier to set up. A fridge in my opinion is an absolute must.

      A 270 awning would be nice. I do like being able to easily use the MoonShade with a different vehicle. It’s a little less expensive too. A fridge is definitely a game changer. Thanks for the comment.

    I use @ice-co fridge and uses same compressor as the dometic but half the cost

      Nothing wrong with saving money. I’ve had my ‘budget fridge’ for just over a year now and it lives in the Jeep. I love it. Thanks for the comment.

    Man $400 for a Outdoor Adventure tailgate table is pretty steep.

      I agree, it is expensive. For me, it has been worth it. There are several videos of diy tables on CZcams that would be a less expensive option. This is one of the items that I applied the ‘buy once, cry once’ philosophy to.

    Steve, what are you using to power the fridge? I know you cannot run on the Jeep'spower as you would kill the battery. Are you using a power station?

    • @Steve_Chandler
      @Steve_Chandler  Před rokem

      It is using the 12v Jeep power. I ran a circuit to the rear of the Jeep. The fridge has a low voltage cutoff. If you’re moving daily, it’s not a problem. If you’re stationary for 2-3 days, the fridge will shut off on low voltage. With all of that being said, it has left me stranded before. But, it was really my fault. It partially drained the battery and I finished it off airing down an air mattress. Luckily a ranger came by and gave us a boost.
