Tyler Cox and I like the rat rot theme. If I were him, I'd replace the diff for confidence and leave it.
I like the 620's however I really love the 521 series Datsun/Nissan trucks even better.
Very cool Datsun truck! They are getting harder to find these days, glad to see people getting them back on the road, even in rat rod style!

A Kid I worked with in the Later 1980’s had a 1973 Pickup like this one and he built a tilting Flatbed and Dual kit.
He repowered it with Early Carburetor Z Motor and Transmission. It was quite a novelty in the area at the time.
Also my Dad bought a 1966 Datsun 410 sedan with a 1200cc 4 Speed as a second car to our 383 auto powered
1968 Chrysler Newport. The Datsun we filled tank for $4.00 and drove all over for two weeks on a tank of gas.
I turned 16 and got my go in the Datsun ....slow but sure was dependable.
Used to drive thru that part of indiana every week. Never know what u would see. Ran into tony stewert once at a gas station. Everybody's friendly. Love the datsun.

Stock h190. LSDs exist for them, but good luck finding one.

In a colder weather climate, with ice and snow, it would be adviseable for you to spray paint the whole frame, chassis, floor boards and underside of the bed with black rust olem paint to preserve it or the road salts and chemicals will eat this truck up for breakfast, lunch and supper.

Love that datsun. Always wanted one. It's kinda rare & hard to find where i am. I have a thing for oldschool cars with more modern, clean, upgraded engines. Don't care if it's ratty lookin. Ratty is what makes it awesome.

Holy shit I had a Datsun just like that, I never tried to drift it, but it had a little four banger, four on the floor really fun truck. Traded it for a 1983 Camaro that I eventually crashed and totaled. I then got a 1987 Toyota pick up, before they gave them model names, it got stolen by crack heads in 2016. I now have my dream truck - a 2002 pre runner Tacoma extended cab, goddamn I love this truck gonna fix it up some. Great videos.

In Australia the Datsun is called a 1200 ute... .they go for about 4 grand Australian dollars ... they are getting popular here as well.

I think you're mostly right.. I looked it up on gumtree and a 720 is still different, however a 620 is pretty much the same as this one so they are the same name here as in the US...and the 1200 definitely looks better... except for the grill/twin lights.
