Just a note, you don't have to physically move it to the charger on initial setup. Just hit the home button on the vacuum itself. Even if it's not configured in any way, it'll know how to return home.
While that is true it is pretty simple to pick one up on Amazon, generally for less then you could get from the manufacture and could even be a higher capacity.
There is a huge discussion on wyze forums about this vacuum leaving stains / marks on hardwood and carpet. Have you experienced this? On the fence about ordering due to this reason. Thanks
Don't know how I missed this discussion. Myself it actually is under my TV stand so had to wait for some day light and move some things. My rug is a little darker then most that were stating that they saw staining. While I can't say that I see any stains on my rug it does sound like I am running mine much less then a lot of those that were seeing the issue. I run my once a week currently. I have some lighter color carpet remint that I can throw under it to set and see if I can make the staining happen. As of right now I don't see any but would hate to say it is a good robo vac only to have something like this happen after the fact.
Just got this but idk, I think something is wrong. It can’t seem to find the charger right in front of it tries for over 20 minutes. It mapped my house but indont see it saved anywhere. It cleaned a small room for an hour wouldn’t go anywhere else just kept re vacuuming what it already went over
Have you tried resetting the maps? That does sound od that it is getting stuck and can't find the charging station. Do you have the charging station under anything?
I have a shark and I have read and seen on videos that robot vacuums get confused if you are around because they have a camera and if there is movement it can't direct itself to go home. It needs some time to learn your house as well. Mine did that first day but I was all over it watching what it was doing 🤣
Thanks for the helpful review. How does it deal with movable objects such as chairs? For example if on the first day when it maps a new floor, I have a chair at a certain location, does it exclude that area from then on, and I end up with unvacuumed "islands" in the room where things used to be?
Things like Shares are small enough of a footprint that the robot will try and go back to those areas if they're moved. I have a coffee table that gets moved around and the robot will go to those locations and work its way around the feet mapping. Really it's the walls and large furniture pieces like couches that'll cause it to not go to an area.
The roller brush does pick up longer human hair as most of these robot vacuums do. However it does not prevent it from cleaning. Generally I'll clean out the human hair every other week.
Hair gets wrapped around the roller brush but not tightly, hair doesn't seem to affect performance and the brush is easy to remove. It comes with a cleaning tool that incorporates a metal cutting edge in the corner of a hook that makes it easy to cut through hair so you can just peel it right off the brush.
@@raghunandhans4200 Yes I tired using it on two different levels of my home. The issue is that it does not remember the two different levels it remapped the floors each time I moved it.
I'm think of getting one but I can't where parts are sold but if it's more or less a chinese brand couldn't other brands like robovac and others match? Thank you I think it's the one but that's all that is holding me back Thank you
For the most part lots of things like this are going to be chinese-manufactured Hardware. Where they separate themselves from each other is based on the software. It's robotic vacuum company will have its own proprietary software. So while the body of them can be very similar the brains will be very different.
There was a small pre order window where you could get it at that price. You can sign up for email notifications from Wyze when they are doing another pre order of something. Just know you could wait months before it is ever shipped to you for that lower price.

Great vacuum! Problem Wyze does not sell replacement batteries! If your out of warranty and your battery goes south your robot will be a door stop!

Im also curious about the stains left on the floor near the charging dock ? This is keeping me from hitting the buy button .

Could you easily create a "room" near the litter box or in messy areas to have it just go do those?
I have done that creating a very small room close to litter box and have the vacuum go to that room and clean.

You need to update to the latest firmware 1.6.97 then you’ll be able to use map editor to designate which room to clean.
I did update the firmware halfway through my review. It was an improvement but could still use some work.
How to map 2nd level of the house. The base is set up at the 1st level. Is it possible?
At this time you can not. Maybe in the future with an update. It was one of my complaints that I had about the wyze Robot vacuum.
