    In a sport dominated by men, F1 Academy aims to level the playing field by introducing more talented women to the world of formula racing.
    With Susie Wolff at the helm, this initiative gives young women a chance to show their skills so that someday they too may get a chance to race at the highest levels of motorsport.
    To all women out there, Happy Women's Day from us at World of Racing!!!
    Also, I do not own any of the footage in this Video!!!

    Wow, Lia Block, Ken Block's daughter is in F1 Academy? That's nice!

      She will drift the car, lose traction and end up last.. the name doesn't get you places, especially in Formula 1.it's called TALENT son.. seriously.

    1) F1 academy doesn't replace the general feeder series latter. Once a driver wins F1 academy they get a F3 ish seat(fresca).
    2) drivers are only allowed to stay in the series two years
    3) The whole program is in efforts to tear down the barriers for entry

    • @blaynestaleypro
      @blaynestaleypro Před 2 měsíci +1

      What barriers for entry?? Far more men are interested in racing then woman. Of course there will be more good male drivers. Besides even the best female driver can't compete with a below average male.

    • @blaynestaleypro
      @blaynestaleypro Před 2 měsíci

      F1 academy is just another example of woke scumbaggery. Equality of outcome, the precursor to marxism. The big fake veneer of altruism. Next we will make sure all races are represented in racing and then all genders even though there are only 2.

    i am honestly just trying to understand a few things here so please be respectful to these questions. 1)are females not allowed to participate in the competitions that males are? 2)if they are allowed to participate, why don't they? 3)what are the steps from F1 Academy to get these women into F1? 4) will there be safety concerns if one of these women get to F1 while only racing against other woman and in a car identical to their female competition?

    • @HrithikAhari29
      @HrithikAhari29 Před 2 měsíci +3

      1. in F1 anyone can participate, doesn’t matter its male or female
      2. because to get into F1, there is long process, like world carting championships-F5-F4-F3-F2-F1, women driver easily beaten by every driver in F3 only that’s why they never promoted further
      3. about safety don’t know

    • @vitorc3
      @vitorc3 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@HrithikAhari29 thanks for the answers. i am getting into the sport and it helped a lot. i was trying to see if this competition was actually going to make a difference in getting a woman in F1, i guess the answer is no. this is just another handout that will eventually backfire in their face.

      I really hope that F1 Academy helps women drivers. I am sure that somewhere out there is a woman thats capable of taking the fight to the top. It is only a matter of time i think. Doriane Pin drove couple of races over the weekend.

    • @vitorc3
      @vitorc3 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @worldofracing8852 definitely I hope so too. It would be a great thing to watch and an amazing accomplishment, but they should do it where everyone does it. They are allowed to do and compete in every competition a man can do, do what everyone does and prove yourself. Establishing a separate competition is demeaning to them and making it seem like they can't do it without a handout. But that's just my opinion.

    • @blaynestaleypro
      @blaynestaleypro Před 2 měsíci +1

      Who cares about F1 academy. It's another woke equality of outcome move. The simple fact is FAR more men are interested in racing then women. But somehow that means there are "barriers" in women's way. Also even the best female racer will get destroyed by a trash male racer.

I really hope that F1 Academy succeds in its plan, We will be following closely for positive updates.
      Also, It would mean a lot to us if you shared this video with anyone that might care. This helps keep us motivated to keep putting out this kind of content.

  • @DonLee1980
    @DonLee1980 Před 2 měsíci

    TBH, none of these women will make it into F1. In fact, most F2 drivers won't even make it to F1, and F1 Academy is basically a further 2 tiers lower. However, if it allows some of the best female drivers a chance to move up the ranks, it will be a good thing.

    FFS! Like it or not and this is the public making itself clear with their lack of support...Unless it's the Women's Tennis Final at Wimbledon or Olympic Figure Skating and Gymnastics and then ONLY at the Olympics, NO ONE CARES ABOUT WOMEN'S SPORTS! and trying to cram something that JUST FAILED down our throats a second time(btw, the women from the W Series are STILL waiting for their prize money! 😆) is NOT going to make us like it just because it won't go away. The public will simply continue to not support it, no matter how many millions of dollars they continue to waste on it, just like the WNBA.

    In other words make it more diverse by first start to exclude a catagory of racers. There have been woman in F4/F3/F2. Now you're literally explaining, because they don't have the experience on that age as their male counterparts do they get pulled infront of the row and get introduced to F1 Academy. I don't think a F1 Academy will slightly change the male dominance. It's there for a reason.
    Instead make a whole F1/2/3/4 etc woman catagory, if there's enough animo.
    I mean for me it's one thing that makes the sport great, racing. I want to see capable people handling that steering wheel, not because they're a man or a woman. In the end all we see is a racing suit and a helmet, till the end.
    Anyway, greatly documented.

    • @blaynestaleypro
      @blaynestaleypro Před 2 měsíci +2

      yes and another thing is that men are just far more interested in racing then women. That's why there are far more men in racing. Not any barriers or some other trash.

  • @40rtyp
    @40rtyp Před 2 měsíci +6

    Leveling the playing field because getting through the traditional methods(going through F3, F2) would weed out the slowest and women could not get on the same level. Merit goes out of the window. Why are the stands not filled with Women? What will be the end result of this F1 Academy, will they go to F1 not on merit? This is just an exercise is virtue signaling.

    • @blaynestaleypro

      It is a ladies series, nothing wrong with that but it is delusional to think that any lady driver will have success in F1. If the academy opens up for transgender drivers it might happen though 😂..
