  • How to Road Trip Southern Iceland - Reykjavik to Vik
In October, I spent five days exploring the south coast of Iceland with Amy, Jen and Iain. In the first episode of this two-part series, we travel along the scenic coast from Reykjavík to Vík, stopping at the best spots along the way, including the Blue Lagoon, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. The next day, we wake up early and drive to Skaftafell to see the beautiful Svartifoss waterfall, before returning to Skaftafell to hike up Vatnajökull glacier.

Loved Iceland when I visited in 2016. Unfortunately I had an accident with my rental car - don't underestimate those gravel roads! - and couldn't complete my trip, but the landscapes are just otherworldly, prehistoric. It's unlike anywhere else. Insanely expensive though, I thought it was more expensive than Switzerland.

Awesome edit James! You're just continually improving. The new ND filter is working a treat for your camera! Such a small thing can really make a massive difference. Loving the use of voiceovers too!

Very nice video. Makes me really wanna go there. I am always stunned to see videos edited that well with comparatively little views. The amateur niveau of editing must set very high standards these days.

In the summer you get longer days to explore and travel, but in the winter you have a chance to see the northern lights. I went in October, which was perfect weather-wise - we didn’t manage to see the northern lights though.

Blue lagoon is not heated naturally. It’s heated by a factory’s waste water just next door 😉

Hey James, this was in October. A perfect time of year to visit in my opinion, but the weather was very changeable.
