    Love the addition of an alarm and horn. Those should be common on ALL scooters.
    Hopefully you can tighten that suspension... ???? That's a serious issue in my opinion, thanks for pointing that out!
    It sounds LOUD?? Is it just me or is the motor louder than other scooters?
    Great review.

      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks Joey. Always nice to hear from you. We did a bunch of research and spoke with the HQ in China. There's not really a way to tighten then suspension. You can loosen the entire mechanism to change it, and according to many users on Nanrobot channels, that is what many people do - and we can see why.
      Horn is definitely on the louder side. Good for cars, not great for pedestrians or bicyclists as it is kind of annoying. I'd put on a cheap bell on left handlebar.

      Ahh, yes. As the Nanrobot is getting close to the price of the Mantis. Actually they are only $100 apart if using our Mantis coupon code: electric-scooter.guide/coupons/ffr-kaabo-mantis-coupon-code/
      Since they are so close in price, I'll leave price out of the equation. As far as acceleration, the Mantis falls behind the D5+ by about a 1/2 second to every speed tested up to 35 mph. Not that the Mantis isn't fast, it is just the D5+ a bit faster. Range and braking are quite similar. Mantis at 29.1 miles and D5+ at 30.3 miles of range. Braking the Mantis stops 6 inches quicker than d5+, but there is a little variance due to human input. The suspension is much better on the Mantis as is the overall build quality. Here's our Mantis review (base model): electric-scooter.guide/reviews/kaabo-mantis-review/

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Před 4 lety +1

      We didn't find any issues with the frame except for the sharp front suspension plate as it digs into the front brake/motor cables. You'll need to wrap them in electric tape immediately.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Před 3 lety

      A lot of the disc brake scooters have that feel to them. Just make sure to get your weight all the way back and then use just one or two fingers. It's really good to practice emergency stops and to get comfortable using the front brake, since that's where most of the stopping power comes from. But definitely be careful, and take your time building up skill with it. -Paul

      @@gilroypro1010 I've had one puncture and I've had the scooter for about 10 months I think. It's not done that many miles in that time maybe 500.
      They seem ok for slick tyres. Same as a bicycle tyre really.
      The only thing I didnt like is when I got a puncture I repaired that and I also ordered another tyre which comes with there own inner tube which is crucial because the valve is bent at a 45 degree angle. I had to buy it from nanrobot and I think it was 40 pounds. Seems overpriced to me as you can get bicycle tyres a lot cheaper and they are twice the size but to be fair to the scooter I had that one puncture since it's been repaired it's not gone down again in 6 months and I have been on it more lately.
      It may well have been my own fault because i dont remember paying much attention to tyre pressures and I'm heavy so it could well have been my own error.

      Older versions were from what I have seen on mine ... CRAP. Hopefully they tweaked there design on newer models. It's just a bunch of stock parts bolted together with little thought on repairs. Oh and the cells they use are Chinese generic and the odds of having a bank go bad are high. Repairing the pack is almost impossible due to the assembly method. Unless you get lucky and find the bad cells on the edge. Lots of power for the money,I get it...but it's not going to last long.
