We dont see the duo of Cardosa and Reese winning games. They just lost 4 games in a row to the 4 worst teams in the league.
@@minime1721 What do you mean by “probably” and “stats”? CC Stans look at everything that she does with rose colored glasses while looking down on everyone else in the league. The Fever had the number one pick for several years in a row and a pick near the very top of the draft the year prior. Kelsey Mitchell was an all star. So, she is not on one of worst teams in the league. The Sky on the other hand are going through a complete rebuild, and Cardoso is still working to get into game shape much like Boston was at the beginning of the season.

The all star vote amongst the players will say a lot to me. If they decide to ice CC out then you know it’s out of pure hate. She’s putting up numbers while the defenses are blitzing her on average more than entire teams combined. That is insane
They won't release it unless there's a leak of some kind similar to what happened with team USA and them refusing to have her on the team. At least with the team USA leak, it makes sense because a) they obviously don't want the fans of Caitlin Clark following their league because they somehow feel they don't need them even though they're literally part of the reason the wnba is even being talked about these days, but I digress. And b) they want her to turn on her fans, aka become an activist.
But in this particular situation? I don't see why they would want to leak it? My theory is that as long as Caitlin Clark doesn't get the most votes, then they won't say or leak anything because it allows them to spin the narrative that the wnba was growing before Caitlin Clark arrived and aja is just that popular.

Why Caitlin Clark haters ignore me when I try to tell them I'm not some biased fan boy that worships Caitlin like she's God, but I digress. However, statistics show TV revenue and ticket sales go up specifically whenever Caitlin Clark is involved. It would be fishy if Caitlin Clark doesn't get the most votes but I can definitely see the players and maybe some members of the media keeping Caitlin Clark from getting the most votes.
I'm sure CC and AR will make the allstar team they will have to play great together in order to beat the USA allstars

Sides is hindering Caitlins production. She is running two point guards for over 20 minutes a game. Caitlin would easily have 10 assist a game if Sides wasn't screwing her. Caitlin led the nation is assist also for 3 of her seasons in college.

@@TheCaninist people miss the point that the Olympics is above all else an exhibition. The point is to put on a product that people want to watch. They aren't playing behind closed doors with no cameras are they? So audience matters. And there is nothing really gained by participating in the Olympics, it's for bragging rights. USA is already going to win the gold, if I can double the audience by adding a 12th player that has a lot of public interest, yes that's a smart decision.
It makes no sense to vote for olympians. And they probably shouldn’t be on the ballot.
They need to readjust both the NBA and wnba schedules because what's the point in having an all star game if all your best players aren't available for it.

CC is 90% of the reason for the growth. She is an incredible all-around player and is mature beyond her 22 years. As an Iowan, I am very proud of her being an ambassador for the WNBA and our state.
The point is CC might just be the best athlete ever. Folks are watching her play because this is history in the making. She is a natural athlete.

Maybe that is similar to today. In the midst of so many sad things currently going on in our world, CC gives us a break. For me following CC is something new and uplifting.
Lots of people on X have agreed not to vote for players already on Team USA. Any vote for those players is a wasted vote. Also, note that the fan vote is only 50% of selection, with 25% media vote and 25% player vote. The player vote will be super interesting to see and will cause many think pieces to be written. 😂

I'm also voting for Kate Martin and Megan Gustaphson because they're both from Iowa. Kate was Caitlin's best friend and teammate in college. Megan is a little older, was a senior when Kate Martin was a freshman, which was before Caitlin came to Iowa.

I don't understand why they play Team USA vs the WNBA "All Stars". Team USA is supposedly the best of the best, meaning the All Star Team is the B team from everyone leftover, and they're making them play each other.

I am in the boat with the people who haven’t voted for any of the Olympians because they’re automatically in. I think they would make a huge mistake leaving CC off this team too. First they already made it public that she’s the favorite after Aja, second lots of people would decide not to go to the game after all. Plus they would have to deal with the crazies online harassing them for weeks. If they are smart and want to make a but load of money they have CC on. Plus she deserves it on pure merit as well!

It has been a long time since we have had a sports hero worthy of our adoration. For decades it has been a caravan of fools and cheaters using PED's like Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones, Mark McGuire, the list goes on and on. Others, like Tiger Woods and Mike Tyson, fell from grace because of deplorable personal behavior. Add to that all the athletes who decided to use their fame to push their ridiculous political and social ideologies down our throats. Fans were turning away from professional sports in droves because of the drought in character. We were tired of our "heroes" spitting in our faces. What a refreshing joy to have Caitlin Clark appear and give us an honest, wholesome, humble and supremely talented athlete to cheer for. She doesn't tell us how we should think or behave. She dominates athletically and at the same time is the best role model she can be. That is what heroes are made of.

The all star game in the wnba is a little different because of how few teams/players are in the league. Literally can have 2 players from every team on the squad.
I vote for Fever players all the time. Outside of that I vote for Hamby from Sparks and Alanna from Lynx.

The other thing that's interesting is most of the people on this list are either from Indiana or their opponents so far. The ones Indiana hasn't played doesn't have as many people on the list !
I assume voting cards are being given away at Fever games/voting is encouraged during their games. The team is selling more tickets than any other team by far (except when playing the Fever, lol) so it kind of makes sense the other Fever players are getting a bunch of votes.

Players doing well in this league. Clark, high in assists and 3- pointers made. Just six tenths of a point, behind McBride, in 3's made. She was tied withStewart in blocks per game, last week.
Ogubowale, first in steals average, second in league, in scoring. Hamby, LA, third in rebounds. Reese, Chi, second in rebounds. McBride, Min, an astounding 57% scoring average. High 3 point scorer. And, was second last week, in 3's Magbegor, Sea, high scoring percentage. 47%. First, in blocks. And great in rebounds. Siegrist, Dal, high scoring percentage, 52% A good hustler, on the court.
Why is this so surprising??? If 200,000 log on and vote for cc then that same 200,000 each have 11 more votes to cast among the remaining players. You can't honestly think that 200,000 people logged on to vote for Wilson as their very first choice??

The voting is dumb. Leaving any part of it to the players is ridiculous and they should just go 100% with a popular vote. Leaving it up to the hateful players and coaches makes it too easy for certain players to get left off strictly because they are unliked behind the scenes.

So far this year there are 6 players that are top 5 in 2 or more categories (the or more is literally 3 categories)…and CC and Reese are both on that list (although I don’t really agree with the 3 pointers made category and I feel like that wasn’t even a category at the beginning of the season…but still)…they’re definitely skilled enough to be as deserving of the fans they brought in.

Kate Martin is an excellent player and proof you don't have to make 20 pts per game. She denies other teams from scoring as she contributes to her teammates scoring.
I really like Kate Martin... Really would have liked to have seen here taken by Indiana in the 2nd round... But honestly didn't even think she would be drafted happy she was though. She will make a great team player in the WNBA. Doesn't want all the shine all she wants to do is play basketball.

you can see that the new fans are voting that is why there are so many, and the players being voted on are the new players or players associated with Caitlin because they are the ones known by the new fans, the older players are not really known to them that is why they are getting few votes.
