- The ALL NEW CT4-V Blackwing is finally hear and Cadillac wanted to raise the performance sedan bar. Under the hood is a 3.6L twin-turbo V6 that produces 472HP & mated to a 6-speed MANUAL gearbox. On the outside you will find functional carbon fiber aero bits, 18in wheels, 6-piston Brembo brakes, and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside you will be greeted to a unique interior with full-back race seats, 8in infotainment system, digital gauge cluster and unique steering wheel.

Not going to lie, I started driving manual later in life (had to learn on a “deployment” in Europe) but it has given me a whole perspective on driving, so seeing cars like this with a manual option is quite exciting 🙂

Unfortunately the CT-4 V is no where in my budget. If a manufacturer is ever able to equip a manual on an EV, it could seriously be a game changer.
@@wbwayne8887 yes sir, feels like I am one with the car if that makes any sense. It is sad to see many cars in the US stray away from manual options and tbh, with things like lane-keep assist, autopilots in cars, collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, etc. I can see driving all together becoming a thing of the past. These things are great but takes the driver out of the picture kind of. Just my opinion! But definitely manual in an EV would be awesome!

I think the end goal is fully autonomous vehicles, so you're exactly right. Someone's going to have to pry my steering wheel from my cold dead hands, manual shift knob also.

Happy to see you with the manual on the track. Many of the reviews I've seen show the manual during the review, but then mysteriously they drive the automatic on the track. Still fun I'm sure, but it's not the same.

Man, I'm absolutely in love with this vehicle and I can't wait to see others review it. Imo, I feel like the CT4-V Blackwing is gonna sell more than the CT5-V Blackwing simply because it's smaller and more nimble and all that good stuff. Of course, the best thing would be to have both of these cars as there's something to enjoy with both of them. They are basically Cadillac's modern day halo cars I would say.

The emblems on the rims should be on the front and rear of all of the Blackwings. It would add an even more special touch to what seems to be already pretty incredible vehicles.

Great review Joe! I really enjoy all your on throttle wow moments! I am in the market for a sports sedan and wanted to see this amazing car in person so I went to a local Cadillac dealership in Atlanta. The model was the higher trim with the full carbon package and 10 speed automatic. MSRP was $81,305 but then there was an extra sticker market adjustment of $50,000 for a total of $131,305. Don't know how true this is but the sales person told me that it was one of the first 250 cars shipped to dealerships nationwide. I still think $50k is an insane markup but assume there is always someone that buys at that price.
@@maxverstappen2713 No, they didn't offer an allocation order. I asked them if I can order based on my online build and they told me that they were not taking orders because they have no timetable on when it actually will be produced. They were also adding a "protection package" and some other unwanted extras to be able to rip you off with some ridiculous extra dealership fees. I'm glad to hear you were able to get one at MSRP.
Gotta man up and order it. I got a low option 6mt build at $62k and in one week it from ordered to allocated. The holdups are the carbon fiber packages.
