- The CT5-V Blackwing is the most powerful Cadillac ever produced. On the outside you will find a unique grill, carbon fiber aero, forged wheels, and 6-piston Brembo Brakes. On the inside there is a custom optioned interior with carbon fiber race styled seats. Under the hood is a 6.4L supercharged V8 that pumps out 668HP & mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This car just like all other Caddies will never stand the test of time ! Their body model always plays out ! The Dodge Challenger ( not charger ) will forever be a classic !

GM has been killing it as of late. This CT5 V Blackwing and the upcoming C8 Z06 are super impressive. Great stuff Joe and team! This one was definitely a handful to drive.

I agree. GM makes amazing cameras. My 2016 Chevy Malibu has a better backup camera than some 2021 and 2022 cars I've been in.

As a car loving kid, of course your childhood is spent with the supercar posters and love for hot rods. I've always had a deep love for Camaros. They were my first and second car as a teen. As of recent years my crush was the Charger Hellcst till the newer ZL1s came out. But now with that kid all grown up, I've been drooling over this CT5 Blackwing since the very first teaser trailer. And I bet I've watched every video youtube has on them. MAN I'M IN LOVE WITH THESE BLACKWINGS!

Be still my beating đ I was just building a Charger Hellcat Jailbreak on the web. They upped the hp to 807 and added lots of choices for different things. My build was 86k+ without a sunroof and some different color bits. The Caddy is a better choice but quite a bit more expensive. Thanks for sharing this beast Joe. Iâll be dreaming about it tonight lol.

This Cadillac looking sporty not your Grandpa Caddy anymore. Once up a time this brand was for old people driving to bingo, golf and church now it's for the younger generation same went with Buick when had sedans back in the day. As much love the Hellcat will take this Cadillac a loyal GM man my first car learned was Buick than straight down the list. This would be perfect Florida car especially in that black color even something a movie star would drive to an award show.

Hey Joe, thanks for uploading a video about the "America's sport sedan" review. Now the Cadillac CT5-V blackwing is an "American V8" luxury sports sedan that offers a manual transmission, which means that some car enthusiasts can opt for a manual.
And fun fact about the Cadillac CT5-V blackwing is the only V8 powered sedan with a *manual* *transmission* and it haves 668 horsepower (the new Cadillac Escalade V is rumored to have the same or "similar" hp then the sedan).
Also Cadillac sell a smaller "sport" sedan called the Cadillac CT4-V blackwing, which 472 hp with a manual transmission, but with a V6.

Drove a 04 cts v for awhile and man I was dusting benz n bmws the acceleration from 1 st gear to 4th is insane for the weight of the car. It's just perfect!

I have had a passion for a Dodge Charger Hellcat and for the final CTS-V for years, I like the Cadillac abit more than the Charger as in looks and interior luxury, but not happy about the no supercharger whine in the CT5-V Blackwing, but then again I can only dream about these American muscle cars , I live in Australia.

Not sure who told you this but the CT5-V Blackwing whines and you can definitely hear it, it's just perfectly balanced so you can hear the engine and tires when pushing it to its limits

I went to a Caddy dealer yesterday. No Blackwing or V, they had a 3.0 tt premium in white. The fit and finish were as good or better than wife's Audi. Very impressed. I want one, will order for july delivery

TY Joe 4 featuring this beauty, goes to show you GM/Cadillac can produce significant vehicles when they want to, I'd definitely take this over an Audi or BMW, maybe not a MBZ. I would like to see Cadillac revive the Eldorado!
One thing I noticed with my hellcat and others is that you can really hear the supercharger whine. I didn't really pick that up with this Cadillac.

You could hear it a LOT with the V3 but I suspect when Cadillac said they were using active sound management to remove undesirable harmonics - they may have meant the super charger given you can hear with the windows down. It dominated the sound track over the motor in the V3 and I would have preferred a mix of both in this car.

Itâs just a damned shame that the automotive industry is moving away from internal combustion towards electric power. My apologies to anyone who happens to think that electric power is a good thing, but personally, I hate the fact that politicians are having a greater influence on the automotive industry than consumer demand.
Bruh I hate electric cars. First of all its not even enough charge stations around to even mass produce electric cars and then what will happen if the grid goes down. I'll stick with my 62mm turbo on my Grand National over a Telsa any day đ

Anyone with two grains of sense could fix it within a couple of weeks, or at least turn it around significantly, but if the people in charge now change direction suddenly, it would be the same as admitting that they were wrong, and theyâll never do that.
Electric cars do nothing but put money in the corrupt leftwing politicians pockets. There will be just as much pollution because the power plants will have to burn many times the amount of coal they burn now to charge all these electric cars. Not to mention the sound of a powerful v8 is the soul of the car. Itâs a shame we the people allow a minority of idiots to control us.
