You are the only person who does the right thing by not spreading the candy. Spreading it breaks the air bubbles and makes it hard rather than light and crunchy. To break it up I pick up the whole slab, turn it over and hit it with a spoon to break into pieces.
Thanks for sharing what looks like a very delicious recipe, when I make it, I'll be sure to "not spread it out"!
Thanks so much for your video. I love it when you bit into a piece and sound was a "cushiony crunch". Beautiful color. My thermometer does not work properly, I think I got it without one, though. Keep 'em coming - you are very patient and descriptive. Thanks again. 🤗
If you spray Pam in measuring cups it makes it so much easier for the corn syrup& other wet ingredients to come out! Also make sure you put butter on cookie sheet & keep it warm in oven. Have all ingredients ready to use and handy for cooking peanut brittle!
Thank you for the pointers!
❤
Love this, best video and so true. I won’t eat brittle if it’s not like this
Amen thank you
Thank you so much,,
Great job in getting the foamy thick peanut butter! 👍
Instead of stabbing it with the knife, flip the sheet pan over so it falls out and catch it with one hand. Now hold it in one hand and tap the back (very important) of the candy that was in the sheet pan with the handle of the knife. This will break it up, not destroy your sheet pans and create less fine brittle dust particles. I line my baking sheet with HD foil, butter that and then pour it in. This makes it easer to remove from the sheet and break up afterwards.
Very very good. Thanks
Loved your detailed explanation!! It looks great.
Thank you for your guidance, I made great peanut brittle!

Mmmmmm looks like you did it up right
That's awesome mam, may I know why do we use corn syrup?
Most brittle recipes call for it. From what I understand it helps provide a smooth texture to hard candy. I hope that helps ya. 😊
@@notsohautecuisine Thanks, that helps
How many glasses of wine have you had ? 🤣🤣
🥴😂
Why are you yelling???
Yelling? 😅😅. In Oklahoma we call that ‘talking’.
