The small country town of Piribebuy is located in Paraguay about 80 km east of Asuncion.
It is a very pleasant resort town popular with locals seeking to enjoy the countryside and also with expats who seeking a safe place with green open spaces and a slow relaxed lifestyle..
The town of Piribebuy is the focal point for the surrounding countryside and as such the place to come to purchase supplies or enjoy a meal.
In it's compact centre are to be found all that anyone living in the town or surrounding countryside requires for their daily needs.
And with Asuncion being just a two hour journey away those things that are just not to be found in country towns are still within easy reach.

I know of one place on the edge of town, very good value but you would have a lodger every couple of weeks when the owners son comes out from Asuncion for a weekend. I look around for others. I have checked AirBnB and there are a few places on there. Do you have an email where I could contact directly?

I met a connection local that is in Villarrica, who set me up in a brand new apt. building 4 units, 2 story, I was the very first tenant @ $325CDN a month. in a very quiet area of Villarrica, 3 minutes to the center of town, I love it here, currently getting my paperwork from Canada to get my residency!

In a very quiet area, about 3 minutes from the center of town, close to grocery store, hospital, shopping, I have met so many nice people here, more than the many years living in Canada. The cost of living here is beyond belief, I can actually save money from my Canadian pension every month for emergencies. Most of all, I have made some friendly connections with most of my neighbours in only 6-7 months that I have lived here. I am currently getting my documents from Canada to get my residency. Simon is a very good man, please support his channel!
We hear a lot about cheap food and housing in Paraguay.But a paramount factor is how safe the country is as we hear about all the crimes and drugs in Latin America.Please update viewers on this very important aspect.
