the size of the coffee mugs take me by surprise every time!!
đâïž
Ditto!đ€Ł
No caffeine though, don't think.
Life goals!
I really miss those HUGE mugs. We only have tiny ones here, made for dolls.
Can you do a "top 5 ingredients" series?
Top 5 ingredients for acne, wrinkles, collagen, hyperpigmentation...
Iâm wondering if âadenosineâ or âglycineâ would be in a Top 5 ingredients video for wrinkles!
Good idea
@@doodoo7207 i would be cool to have alternatives that are less irritating :)
I also like the Purito Centella Green Level Recovery Cream! It soothes redness and irritation instantly. Fun fact: Centella is known as Tiger Grass because tigers will instinctively roll in this grass after fights to soothe their wounds. So cool!
I bought it and it breaks me out for some reason and I don't really break out! So I just use it on my neck and hands. It feels so nice so that made me sad!
True. I like it as well as I use it during the day after night Differin tratment. Good when combined with Cerave.
That's interesting to know
@@jenniferwray3329 Maybe because it's fragranced? I recommend the unscented version, Purito Centella Unscented Serum
@@niac.2970 I wasn't talking about the serum. I was referring to the recovery cream, and mine is the non fragrance version.
Thank you Dr. Dray for your very thorough discussion on Centella and its varied components. Listing them will be so helpful when searching these ingredients out. Btw, you look great. Your skin is so clear and healthy looking. I like your leopard sweater (love animal prints), your necklace and earrings. Very pulled together and classy. You rock!
The way you organized the âchaptersâ with time stamps!!! đđđđ thank you!
Thank you for the clarification about cica and centella! I love the Cosrx cica products. I got the Cicaplast and while it is too heavy for my skin as an allover treatment, it is wonderful as a spot treatment for irritated spots and it feels so cool and soothing, instead of thick and sticky like most healing creams.
I did not know that the aveno oat gel moisturizer had centella asiatica. That's wonderful as I can now go from 2 products (the ampoule she mentioned and a moisturizer) to one. Thanks dr dray for saving me time and money
I bought Cicaplast on your recommendation and it has been awesome when I'm recovering from a dermatitis flare up. â€
I bought the Aveeno Oat Gel Moisturizer based on your recommendation from a previous video. Love this stuff. It's been really helpful for irritation that pops up for my oily and rosacea prone skin. Plus its humid here in New Orleans so heavier moisturizers are problematic. I've been trying out various products to see what works best for me. Been working to level up my skincare routine for my much "wiser" skin. All of your info has been so helpful Dr. Dray as I've been doing a deep dive into skin care. Wishing I'd known this in my much younger years! đđ
I have rosacea and the Aveeno oatmeal products are amazing for me lately, they really help tone down the burning discomfort I feel when I touch my face, and they aren't heavy at all, which also helps with stinging I feel with a lot of moisturizers that are thick! Such a great recommendation, so grateful you pointed those out.
Hope you, your mom and Tybee are having a great week. Thanks for the content!
You too
Thanks for taking time to put words in description. So helpful. Thank you Dr.Dray â€ïž
I think you have been reading my brain in doing this post! I have concerns with redness from using a retinol and have considered laser treatments for dealing with the redness. I might try a centella product first! You are such a skincare rockstar! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom â€ïž
I have a research background and really appreciate your summaries of the science behind ingredients (for example when you talk about stimulating fibroblast cells and the pathways that are activated to do this). I find it interesting and helpful to understanding!
I love La Roche Posay Cicaplast, it saved my skin after a reaction from salycilic acid wash, it was red, bumpy and it burned. Other moisturizer actually burned even more this was the only one that just sat nicely on my skin and after 4 days my skin was back to normal. This was wonderful! I use it as a night cream now, and my skin always looks beautiful and feels hydrated in the morning
The Cicaplast is amazing. Looks super thick but glides like a dream in the skin. Makes my skin feel amazin. Itâs so worth it.
Thanks for reviewing some of the COSRX products from the cica line! The serum sounds lovely!
Cicaplast Baume pretty much saved my hands from my annual âwinter crackingâ! First time in DECADES that my fingers didnât crack open and bleed!!!đ
I also like the Cicaplast Mains hand cream for winter! It doesnât have centella, but itâs kept my hands from cracking and itâs great for daytime bc itâs not greasy on the hands
Thank you for telling us all the names of the centella components. Sometimes I am at a loss to find ingredients in my skincare that are claimed in the names or product descriptions in the inci lists.
I love how you upload videos at 5pm UK time :) just when I finish work!
Hope you had a great work day
It's 5 PM in Germany too đ
Dr. Dray- I just had to share something with you. Iâm trying to cut unnecessary products out of my skincare routine to simplify things. A couple of products that you recommended in some recent videos checked all the.boxes for me so I went ahead & purchased them; the first is the Aveeno oat gel moisturizer & the second one is the Rovectin skin essentials activating treatment lotion. I gotta hand it to you that so far, so good. Iâm loving these products and they feel right for me. As a bonus, theyâre also more affordable than some other skincare I was trying. THANK YOU for being you because you help so many of us out here on your channel with your knowledge, patience, humor, Costco trips, coffee mugs, smiles, âWell hey guysâ! & more! Youâre the best and I appreciate your work! â€ïž
You can never have enough Centella, it's soo good for sensitive and irritated skin! đđ»
Iâve been using the Aveeno Oat Gel at your recommendation, and Iâm loving it! I have had face eczema (not currently flared) for years, so Iâm very limited with products that are safe and effective. Applied over the Hada Labo gel, itâs been a winning combo. Thank you!
I love and have tried most of the products mentioned here, centella always calms my perpetually irritated skin â€ïž
Thank you for clearing up the CICA-thing! Didn't know it just menat "healing", not centella! IÂŽve been so confused about that!
I love Centella in products. Iâve been using the Purito Centella serum and a gel/cream product called Madecassoside (itâs a little lighter than Cicaplast Baume) the first for day and the second one overnight. They are both so soothing for my skin! I also love the Missha Time Revolution Artemesia Essence. Thanks for mentioning other products to consider.
Yassss! Iâve been waiting for this topic!! Thank you Dr Dray!
Thanks for watching
The aveeno oat gel creme . Saved my life !
My personal favorite is Benton's "Goodbye Redness" gel, it works very well as basically a serum step before a moisturizer. I've seen a lot of improvement in my skin ever since I started using it, it really calms the skin and I feel like I get flare-ups of acne less often. :)
I just ordered the Topicals Faded brightening gel, it has nicinamide, tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, melatonin, kojic acid, centella, and licorice root. Might be a good one for you to try out Dr. Dray!
Really like this focused ingredient approach.
La roche-posay also has a cicaplast b5 in gel version, its very soothing and matte at the same time. Also another good product is Bioderma cicabio
Waiting for my Aveeno gel cream to arrive based on your continued recommendation! Can't wait!
this is crazy i was just searching for centella products and you uploaded it the same day
I've got 3 of the list! đ My skin love them!
May we get a review of Geek & Gorgeous brand? They pledge no fragrance (including essential oils too!) They also pledge to disclose the amount of actives in their products.
I love Centella! It's such a soothing and calming ingredient. I use a moisturizer that contains Centella to reduce any irritation from chemical exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide and adapalene. My favorite product with centella in it is the Etude House Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream. I think i need to try one of the CosRX products that you recommended, since the Aveeno Calm & Restore series haven't been sold in Indonesia.
The Oat Moisturizer is my new holy grail! Iâve been using it for about a month and it has transformed my skin! Thanks for the recommendation
Hi! Im thinking of getting it. How has it transformed your skin? What kind of skin do you have if you donât mind me asking?đ
That stuff literally repaired my skin in three days flat! I had an allergic reaction to a new sunscreen I tried, and my skin began to CRACK!!! I went out and bought the Calm and Restore cream IMMEDIATELY, and thank God I did!!!đđŒđ
I just started using it and I love it so far too! In addition to it seeming to have a nice hydrating effect on my skin, it's super luxurious to apply, it feels and smells so nice. Some fragrance-free products have what I can only describe as a drugstore skincare smell, but this stuff somehow smells sweet and lovely (in a very subtle way). I do find that I have to use a lot of it, but my skin is very dehydration-prone.
Same here!
How do you use it? I just bought it and donât have any idea if this goes before everything else I use (retinol, moisturizer)
This is my favourite skincare brand. Urigae! Thanks for the review! Iâm using the daily gel creme and serum! Itâs so lightweight! Love Uriage â€ïž
That Aveeno Oat gel moisturizer is my new favorite. Itâs a little rich for my finicky skin and sometimes I form comedones from using it too many days in a row, so I combat that by rotating a cleanser for oily, acne prone skin. I love it too much to just stop using it. Makes me look lifted, glowy and takes years off my face.đł
I just ran out so Iâve been using LRP Lipikar while my skin is still in its winter freakout phase. Wanna try the Cicaplast. I just adore LaRoche-Posay.
I have rosacea and Iâve been using the La Roche Posay Cicablast Baum (thanks mom) for 5 years. I have truthfully only seen great results with this product. Granted, I do not use it every day due to how strong it is.
"If I haven't mentioned already, all the products I'm recommending do NOT contain fragrance!"---wouldn't expect anything less from you, Doc! đ
I am loving the Aveeno Calm and Restore moisturizer. Fantastic product!
It is a wonderful ingredient! I notice the redness went away after a few weeks. I hope you can review the Iunik Centella Calming Gel Cream. Its one of my best centella product
Iâve been using the Purito Centella Unscented Serum. Itâs got centella, niacinamide, peptides, and madecassic acid.
Cicaplast Baume saves me from myself! My skin problems are usually from my own doings, so I reach for this product pretty regularly. Also I absolutely love Round Lab! I use their sunscreen, it's pleasant and sits well under makeup.
Iâm amazed that you know about that uriage product !
Your detailed research and explanations are clear and amazing. Thank you.
Thank you for introducing me to CosRX! I started Tretinoin this year and their products are really helping with the irritation. My skin loves it!...(also the LaRoche Posay Cicaplast)
Iâm about to start tret and Iâm scared! đ any tips other than taking it slow and moisturizing?
Purito also has an unscented Cetntilla serum thatâs really good
Love this one! Itâs my fav
I love it tooooo!!
Does it help calm acne. I get occasional cystic acne. Its like a red bump that stays under the skin :(
I would love to see a video on the best one step/one and done moisturizer. I am trying to get away from using tons of serums, etc. and would love to know the best overall, multipurpose moisturizer that can replace many things. I currently use Cerave moisturizing cream and figure that is going to be pretty good.
I LOVE the Cicaplast Baume! I bought a backup for myself and one for my mom đ
I have been using purito centella toner and serum fragrance-free version. They both helped me recover from winter breakout and my face is sooo soft!
Those are great and very affordable. I also like the fragrance free Centella cream.
I appreciate you bringing up chafing under the breast! I have very large breasts and have been struggling with that. Will definitely try that balm out.
I also LOVE the Purito unscented centella serum. So multipurpose.
Hi Dr Dray đ thank you so much for all the information you give us, regarding all products. đâ€đđŒđ·đ»đč
The Bioderma Cicabio cream is also a fantastic cica cream Dr. Dray! You should definitely try it. Itâs great as a spot treatment too. Maybe like an alternative to the LRP Cicaplast baume, idk but itâs worth trying.
Thanks for all the great recommendations!
Wish I could like this video more than once! You are a godsend Dr. Dray! â€ïžđ
You have to try the purito uncented centella serum, itâs 49% centella extract! Amazing!!
I thought about getting it, but bought the purito unscented toner instead because it is more affordable. I like the toner, it helps redness and irritation. Great for my oily/acne prone sensitive skin
I love their centella products, I use their peptide serum (staple item that I just love so much), eye cream and sunscreen. I love that many of the products are available in both scented and unscented â€ïž
Looking well Dr Dray! Wishing you, your family and all viewers here a restful and happy Easter :) :)
Sensitive skin + tretinoin + CICAPLAST BAUME B5 = no irritaciĂłn, you guys I LOVE IT
I apply LRP Cicaplast baume before Azelaic Acid and it saves my face from irritation. Life savior. I have tried Azelaic on top of another moisturizer and it irritated my skin.
Do you apply the tretinoin first or the cicaplast first?
Aveeno eczema therapy, then tretinoin, then CICAPLAST nigth and morning and never feel irritaciĂłn because the tretinoin
@@VendetaI Is it better to apply it before? Does it not dimimish the power of azelaic too much? Im struggling to use high strenght azelaic at the moment without developing dermatitis from dryness it creates.
Same đđ»
Added to cart! Thanks Dr Dray!
Hi Dr Dray! Youâve GOT to get your hands on the CosRX Purefit centella toner. Itâs very watery and perfect to layer under a heavy moisturizer. I get relief from a rosacea flare up within a day.
I was on the fence about Round Lab's mugwort/artemesia cream, but this video made my decision for me đ. Gonna buy whenever i can.
Assalaam Alaikum everyone. I have my coffee ready, lol. Letâs roll with the awesome Dr. Dray. Have a great day everyone. Lots of love from California. â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Happy Wednesday
Have a great day đđ
Greetings Zahra Qauomi hope u r well n Happy Wednesdayđđđ....
W alaikum alsalam â„ïž
Wa Alaikom Salam đ€
Happy Wednesday!!!
Happy Wednesday
You are the only creator I watch for skincare advice! Other channels either use way too many products or create fear mongering over chemical sunscreens or parabens. No thank you!
Finally! This ingredient seems amazing but I donât know anything about it...LOL thank youđ
Thanks for watching
I LOVE Uriage!!! Thanks for the informative video! đ
I was just researching about this the other day.... Thinking of getting the Cosrx Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream for my night time moisturizer. Has niacinamide too, along with centella and ceramides, glycerin, panthenol and ha
Itâs great! But itâs very thick just so you know. I have dehydrated oily skin, use Differin every other night (just started 2 weeks ago) and itâs heading to winter where I am, this cream (more like a balm really) really helps me keep that hydration, moisture and retinoid irritation. On my 2nd tube now đ
Love from india doc. Thank you for being out there. Take care
LRP cicaplast balm b5+ does have centella asiatica leaf extract, says the ingredient list. not only madecassoside. i have just bought one here in switzerland. it does say " new and improved formula" on the box so they might have added it since the making of your video over 2 years ago. i have bought it for my face redness after sauna and i have to say - i love it. also paired with bioderma's photoderm andti redness sunscreen that you reviewed here for us on this side of the world. thank you so much, dr. dray!
Thank you for the information. I love Cicaplast baume 5 now
Great timing. I was wondering if I'm gonna get something with centella.
Another great Centella product is Some By Mi- Miracle Serum- 14.5% Centella & Miracle Cream- 70% Centella. I really like this brand & have been using their SPF with no problems. I also like Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream in the tube.
I strongly recommend the iunik centella gel! it absorbs quick into your skin, leaving your skin hydrated and juicy. I have combination skin that's also sensitive and acne prone, I got it last summer to try it out and it really calmed down my inflammation and helped with scarring combined with a good sunscreen
I like that one too!
Thank you for sharing! â„ïž
I have been using it 8 months, but my pigmentation and acne scars don't go. Can anyone suggest me the best product for my skin problem?
It has a fragrance ingredients though.
It has fragrance and ended up drying out my skin. That one's a no for me.
So cool to see centella listed in my peach slices snail rescue!
Good morning Dr Dray! First of the day Iâm here first. Yay! Happy Wednesday
Happy Wednesday
I am going to try both the la roche Posay and the aveeno. Thank you!
loving these videos explaining individual ingredients! extremely grateful for giving us access to your knowledge đ
I have combo skin and the Aveeno cream wasnât moisturizing enough for me in Seattle winter. I think it will be a winner for the summer though!
Another wonderful video. Thank you! It's might be strange, but the Cicaplast from LRP seems to actually calm my rosacea. :-o
Thank you for the wealth of information. I did always think that "cica" meant that the product contained centella. Although. I do always tend to look at the list of ingredients.
Really useful. Am going to try the La Roche Posay product x
Been using COSRX Hydrium Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule AM after cleanse and before the cerave 30 lotion, and my skin is less red, irritated and more homogeneous in the T zone.
I've also added a Licorice serum in the PM routine.
It's been two weeks now, less scratching the face :)
I love the la roche posay balm you recommended for redness. It really worked! Can sunscreen be applied on top and penetrate through properly?
I really love that Round Lab Mugwort cream. It is HEAVEN SENT!!! Works really well with my tretinoin days and on my exfoliating days â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Is it good for dry/combo dehydrated skin & enlarged pores? Does it clog pores?
@@emmagal14 it's good with any skin type and i didn't experience any clogging
Cicabio Creme by Bioderma is also a great option! Fragance free of course, very hydrating but not heavy and not greasy. I've been using it both for face acne and hand eczema. I recommend you try it out, maybe for a 'round 2' centella products?
Thank you for the balm of la Roche-Posay, my skin likes the ingredients in this specific product because others from the same brand irratate my skin.
Saponins, that's so interesting - is that the same as the part of a plant that can be made into a soap?
That La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is MAGIC! My derm has me use it under my retinoid. I love it, it dramatically improved my acne scars within days of using it. It heals my skin so quickly and beautifully đ»
I keep seeing comments like this. I really have to try it now
Thanks Dr. Dray. I'm watching this after ordering the Bioderma cica cream. Once I try it will keep these in mind for next time. The Uriage sounds interesting as my skin is oily acne prone yet sensitive so would love to try a thermal water product. Thanks for the clarification that cica doesn't mean a product contains centella as I definitely thought the avene cica restorative cream did.
Super helpful video -thank you!
Such a fantastic video. Thank you!!
I wasnât sure about the Cicaplast Baume but I really like it :)
đđŒ
It's just way too thick for my holy o i l y skin :"(
It is perfect !! Anytime my skin burns from products or gets sensitive from retinol I use cicaplast on it as a moisturizer and it soothes my skin ( because sometimes I canât even use my cerave tried n true ) I just use the cicaplast boom
It's perfect. I have been using it for quite some time on my cheeks because my skin is dry there and I like the feeling of it. And I like how it is thick and it makes my skin look good.
@@JHTjersey same!!! Noon at the point where I can use cetaphil again, but my routine is still simple. Cleanse, moisturize, then the baume on top and thatâs it if Iâm not using tretinoin that night
â Iâm not on fireâ lol you r funny. Much love. đ€Ł
I use the Cicaplast Baume all over my face morning and night time! It completely changed my skin. No more redness or irritation from Tret.
how do you use it like do you apply it over or under tret?
I love the cicaplast baume, it helps soothe my psoriasis!
Thank you Dr dray! I feel sometimes that you read my mind!
