It doesn't work
I appreciate your observation about the rattling sound coming from the number plate. Does that sound come while driving or while shutting the tail gate. I wonder how did you notice that sound while driving, so far I know from my experience from the test drive the NVH levels of the car is spot on, even the honk sound feels like a distant humming.
Sound used to come whenever there is a speed breaker or pothole. On smooth roads, you won't realise it.
You are right, NVH level is amazing.
@@TheSafariTraveller bro take some thin cloth and tuck is beneath the number plate. I have been doing this since years and it works pretty well ☺
@@TheSafariTraveller check the sunroof switches for the noise you mentioned coming from top. It was same on my Safari, there was a rattling noise over 60kmph, SC resolved it in the first service. You can also pry it open yourself and see if something is loose inside. Switch board is not a very well built unit as other variants have sunglass holder there.

Infotainment, I use for songs from blutooth via phone and maps. Nothing much above that. So I find it ok.
What about the android auto and the reverse camera
Maps in Android Auto only. Reverse Camera yes that too, but that is just for reversing

I drove my Safari XT manual around 900 km on highways.. and I got 18 kmpl @2000 rpm.
You will consume more diesel in automatic variant of any brand.
And about luggage you cannot install carriers on vehicles with sunroof. I would like to suggest XT variant because its value for money. Go for Safari you will never regret.
I read in some reviews, the clutch is positioned higher in safari and harrier and hence many people got issues regarding clutch plate, is it so? Saw 1 review in which position of clutch was there, I too felt it is higher than other 2

Got harrier in Apr 2021, was provided 1 remote and 1 regular key at the time of delivery. At first service got the 2nd remote in which the regular key was inserted.
Last week I drove my Tata Safari for 2500 KM from Gurgaon - Mandi - Jispa - Leh - Kargil - Srinagar - Patnitop - Gurgaon.
I think the car has a great suspension and comfort. However, with so much power I still feel on hills, the car performance was not up to the mark. The engine was struggling on 1st gear to climb up with 5 people and full luggage. The engine halted sometime even at steep up hill.
I explored many features like decent hill control and cruise mode during the trip.
I’m not sure how many people know that BS6 accumulate carbon in the silencer and while travelling up hill for a very long time you need to be very cautious to burn it up by continuous driving the car to 40 - 60 speed at 3 - 4 gear for 20mins. Else your car won’t start. I had to got to Kargil service centre to get the regeneration process done.
I have many more things to share but I would like Tata Motors to contact me for elaborated feedback and shot comings at can be improved in next version.

@@TheSafariTraveller I did tried the sports mode but I was getting wheel spin on lower rpm which made me uncomfortable on hill drive. Mostly i was on wet mode as the road was wet due to ice melting and it also gave me confidence
Do you think wet mode could be the reason for the climbing difficulty? Did you try in City Auto
I don’t think so. Yes, I did go for city and rough mode but it was all same.
@@kumarabhishek1471 This is a front-wheel drive car so that is another big issue for slippery roads on hills where rear-wheel drive helps a lot.

It is a power steering, but Instead of electric power steering (EPS) it is a hydraulic power steering (HPS). HPS may be harder at lower speeds and also lower the mileage (as the hydraulics would draw power from engine. But on high speeds the HPS provides better steering feedback and livelier steering experience as compared to EPS.
i agree, highway, high speed maneuvering is excellent for the car.
Excellent review as always. Planning to buy Adv Persona soon. But did find few complaints on issues with infotainment system. Requiring to update the software frequently to remove glitches in a car of this segment is painful. What is your opinion on this?
So far there was no need for software update except once to fix the TPMS error. All good.
I am a Safari owner and I would prefer Safari anyday or Innova or Alcazar. However the point about power needs further explanation. Alcazar diesel is only 115 HP but the car is 400 KG lighter. The power to weight ratio determines the acceleration/pickup etc. It still is slightly lower than Safari but not by much.
I can tell you, Tata has avoided same mistake which Hyundai did. If Tata had kept 140 BHP (Harrier s), today Safari would not have been as competent 7 seater as it is.
115 BHP is enough for city drive 5 seater. But for 7 seater, additional weight has to be factored in inspite of being lighter intrinsically.
In climbing hills, the low pull will be visible for Alcazar Desiel. Using Cretas engine and adding 2 seats is not a brilliant idea. But I can understand the target customers Hyundai is eyeing i.e large families may not mind.
7 Seater segment is not for the less powerful.
There's a reason even old innova has 2000cc as a 7 seater
@@TheSafariTraveller well Tata never gave a 115 bhp to harrier. Tata had launched the harrier with 140 bhp and then in 2020 they launched the updated harrier with 170 bhp.
And tbh even the safari is just a harrier with 2 seats and same harriers engine then. The same tactic has been used in the whole 7 seat SUV segment which costs around 20 lakhs.
The fact that Creta itself was a not a direct compititer and was smaller than harrier so got a smaller engine as well for its size and usage. So even the alcazar which is based on Creta, the same engine is powerful enough for alcazar as well as it was the same case with harrier and safari , hector and hector plus.
Yes on paper the numbers of Alcazar engine seems less powerful but we should also remember that its based on Creta which was always not a direct compititer and was a segment lower than harrier or hector so from that aspect the diesel engine used in alcazar is powerful enough for its usage. And even Hyundai or any other brand obviously won't make a mistake of providing underpowered engine. Yes compared to rivals it can be (in this case it is) less powerful but cannot be(in this case it is not) underpowered at all.
Just because a car has 7 seats doesn't mean it belongs to a segment which is needs to have power and criticize it. There are 7 seats in an SUV for not only power but for many other reasons such as comfort,space,looks etc. The definition of SUV today has changed and it is no more defined as only power. That's why there is a product such as alcazar which obviously won't provide outright performance because of engine specs but it's USP is features,looks,not very big but big enough for city purpose as an occasional 7 seater, Hyundai brand value and ease of driving in city, which are missing on some of its rivals. And people looking for a 7 seat SUV with these requirements will opt for Alcazar.
Just because alcazar doesn't meet your expectation or needs doesn't mean it becomes a bad product or bad idea of adding 2 seats and same engine of Creta into alcazar(same tactic used in mg and Tata as well). And pls don't think that I like alcazar so I am writing about it but I felt you were wrong in this aspect so I wrote. Personally I will always pick safari that too only in adventure persona because of its road presence and design.

As mentioned, the video was my personal opinion, so if someone feels Alcazar is a great product, so be it.

Alcazar is too sluggish when at decent capacity not a 6-7 seater car for sure, power isn't sufficient.
Agreed. Big screens are very distracting and useless for people who knows and loves driving. But we have Maruti/Hyundai/KIA buyers! They cant drive much so the only thing matters to them is features and 15 inch touch screen with 500cc aluminum engine LOL.

How do people manage luggage with 7 people as there is negligible boot space? With the panaromic roof is there an option to put career, if so what is the holding capacity of roof rails? What does Tata advise?
Luggage possible for one night stay. Beyond that not possible on sunroof variant. (like most 7 seaters)
@@TheSafariTraveller I heard that XUV 700 has a capacity of ~80kg along with their skyroof. But when you say 1 night I assume you mean each passenger holding small backpack with them.

Open the door after switching off the car and radio will turn off... I faced same option but figured it out 👍🏼
One question, in the 3500 kms that you have driven, approx how many have been with all 6 seats occupied and how many with only 3 or 4. My use case will be 50% with only 1, 40% with 3 and probably 5-10% with 5/6 passengers. That feeling still remains in my mind that am I buying a larger car just for the road presence. Have you ever felt the same?
50% alone I drive, 30% 2 seats, 15% 4 seats, 5% 6 seats. far. Yes, I bought a larger car for road presence only.
But, there are some use cases, once in a while when relatives visit, 6 seats have been used.

Luckily i could get tropical mist colour for xt+ variant. Loved the colour at first glance.
Got some issues in my car after delivery but those are resolved by the service centre.

It's lambda sensor which is install at bottom and it's not working properly because bottom portion sensor r not well water proof

I took delivery of Tata Safari adventure per Sona 7 seater on Tuesday ever since after delivery my cars battery has been raining constantly due to a fan running inside the car even after turning off the ka completely and locking it is giving me battery draining issue is it happening with your Tata Safari also I would like to know
I have the same model, XZA+ Adventure persona. The car pulls ever so slightly to the left,problem persistent despite a visit to the service station and wheel alignment. Any suggestions???

Your comment on Innova vs Safari are correct on looks but functionally Innova will climb hills easily as it's a rear wheel drive but Tata made a mistake making Safari front wheel drive , that's the only con in my opinion.

Good car but what let me down when I went to buy was the attitude of showroom employees of Tata and I am afraid of their service looking at their attitude…. Tata really needs to straighten up their bad employees
I agree. I got wrong car delivered first :) due to the showroom employees noting down wrong color!

It is difficult to handle for people with short height. For others, it is not as effortless as expected. One has to pull it up a bit, then it goes up automatically after pressing the soft button.
