A number 6 , 2 CB’s and 1 RW very realistic signings choices for you. But I personally would invest that olise money somewhere else and give amad a chance. Plus if rashy gets back in form Garnacho could play RW as well.

Mario Hermosa is the perfect signing if Ten Hag stays, like a more athletic version of Daly Blind. Can play Cb in a 3 or 2, can deputy at LB as well. Played for Simeone so tough defensively, very good in the air in both boxes. He's a bit older but he can be the bridge to Harry Amas
Bench warmer at atletico. The last time he played every game was espanyol. Unless he is a free transfer. You want to pair him up with lisandro at lcb-lb Two slow 5’9 and 5’8 on the left. We are going to get cooked every game. And it’s hermoso not hermosa

HermoSO has started 243 out of 263 matches in his career, 155 out of 173 at Atletico overall and 42 of 44 matches this season, so yeah...bench warmer. He is a free transfer. He's not 5'9 he's 6 foot. He's not slow. Also, Ten Hag got Ajax to the champions league Semi's at Ajax with Martinez and Daley Blind combo. Daley Blind is waaaay slower than HermoSO. It doesn't have to be an every game thing, but as a backup to both Martinez and Shaw I think it would be a smart signing because he's free and he can play both positions. His passing range, his tenacity and his ability on the ball makes him a good fit for what Ten Hag is trying to do tactically. He's on the older side (29 in the summer i think) so not likely, but again it sounds like we don't have a ton of money to spend and somebody like this good be a smart signing to help keep himself, Shaw and Martinez fresh for the next 2 years until Harry Amass is ready.

@@chrismillien7601 De Ligt and Daley Blind combo. Martinez joined the year after. Martinez then was first a DM before he moved to CB with Blind moving to left back. Still agree on Hermoso great option as cover for Martinez and left back. Good experience plus defensive killer. Even with Ten Hag leaving he could be a good signing I think.

Don't waste £60m of the budget on Onana. If you're going to do that, just pay the extra £40m to get Joao Neves.
I disagree. Neves is too small to play next to Mainoo and Martinez. I also think he might develop into an 8.

Get Ederson from Atalanta rather than Onana. 20-30 mil cheaper, same profile, great player. Shell out on a senior starting striker instead. Hojlund is raw and needs mentorship and has a lot of years ahead of him. You may also think about a backup GK, but the one game I saw of Bayindir against Newport, he looked nervous but his distribution is excellent.

But I'm not sure about the idea that we "can't afford" some players either, I'd say it's more like we don't want to spend a lot on a single player as opposed to not being able to afford them, because didn't Ineos put some money in the kitty for transfers?
And we also have a lot of players leaving too, which should free up a lot of funds.
It's surely going to be the most interesting transfer window in years though, regardless of what happens, because it will give us a lot of information about how Ineos plan to proceed in the future.
The Nice one is interesting too though, because if young players know that Nice is a potential pathway to United then you might see a lot of players being eager to join them..

my opinion:
-we have 0 chance to get anyone from the current B04
- we have almost 0 chance getting anyone from bologna. (Motta to juve)
-Ndidi is free agent and 27 yo. pretty good deal imo unfortunetly i dont see him on the list.
-Theo hernandez (Not on the list and i know its dificult, but we can try)
-Tosin Adarabioyo (another free agent)
-Sesko is unlikely(he probably going to arsenal). Just bc sesko agent is at OT doesnt mean there is potential.
- i think we got chance for kimmich, a slim chance but not 0 (he will be a FA and will be good for mainoo to learn from him). i would put him in unlikely tier
We need a LB, 2 CB's, a CDM, RW and a Striker. 6 transfers that we don't have the funds for which means we'd need to sell but United have been notoriously bad at selling players because of the inflated wages given to them. We're getting 4 max, Todibo, Olise, Fofana and Zirkzee would be my choices from this list while being realistic. You could chuck in Adaraboyo because he's free but we'd be pushed for time with how long it takes us to do deals in and out.
2 DMs, a CM, and a RB as well. This is just to make a passable squad. If we actually want to compete for anything good, we will need at least 12-15 transfers easily. We would get loads of money from selling players, but we’d also need a good transfer budget to begin with. I’ve heard rumours of only £35m, but I don’t want to believe that, especially after we’ve just won the FA Cup. The Glazers have always given us money, they just haven’t given us the resources to use it properly. Add Ratcliffe to that, and hopefully we will have a decent budget. I’m really hoping, anyway.
Think we will spend smaller sums on a fair few players rather than massive bids for a couple of world class types

I would genuinely go up to 100 million for Leny Yoro. That's 1 player that will alone make us continuous contenders. Just like Saliba did for Arsenal and what Van Dijk did for Liverpool. You obviously need quality around the team, but a generational defender is the key for success in the modern game. That allows you to dominate teams. That's a big reason why Da Zerbi can't dominate teams on consistent basis.
Title contenders is a big stretch
@@michael43567 It's not though. He's a generational talent. You can pair him up with basically anyone and you're more than safe going man for man in defense, which is probably the most important tactical thing in modern football. Can't dominate games if you need babysitters for your CBs. Liverpool wouldn't have won anything without Van Dijk. Arsenal wouldn't be contending without Saliba.

@@alexfielding7191 AFAIK he hasnt snubbed us, United didnt agree with the extravagant terms his mother/agent wanted to include in the contract. So we rejected him because of too high demands.. but as i said demands can go down if he doesnt get better offer

This all depends on how many players we can sell this summer:
Rashford, Antony, Casemiro, Mctominay Maguire lindelof Pellistri, Fernández, Greenwood, Williams can and should all be sold. Erikson too. Wan bisaka could be sold too if we get someone better in place. Get Fofana!!!
Andre is really good. Thats the type of player we should be all over. Young. Cost won’t be crazy yet. And at an age he can grow with mainoo as a partnership

My god... that looks scary, those two top tiers. We're looking at a bottom half finish if we end up making those signings. I would rather take neves and silva and live with the rest of gaps in the team, atleast those two will grow into UCL quality players.

Many of those names being linked are just pure speculation that we get every window. There's a couple that we're generally interested in but it's all about fitting the right kinda profile & having the right characteristics to play for United. Wages & transfer fees will also be important. We need to.recruit in a far more smart efficient manner & fingers crossed we can sell well aswell
You are right buying players on deadline hours, they aplenty of time to make good cheap signings, big names,big wages, big egos,less productive

I think you are mad ruling out Frimpong. I would bet the house we will try and sign him if ETH stays. We might not get him, but we'll certainly try. I think Ten Hag really fancies Dalot as an inverted left back (regardless of injury crisis) the ball from deep and run he made for that goal he scored against Brighton is a trend we are seeing again and again. It happens several times every game. It also seems to be about the only Ten Hag idea that occasionally works atm.

Frimpong can be used as a full back and as a winger , he is very fast and an excellent dribbler and can create chances. We need to sign him instead of Olise. Rashford, Garnacho, Amad and Antony will be there next season, so why are we wasting money for another winger.

the thing with Onana , he is much more of an 8 than a 6 , just like Mainoon he has qualities that takes him beyond a 6. As much as I highly rate him, he is not quite the right profile.

Veerman is like Frenkie de Jong type of player. Would be an excellent signing imo. TH will want him for sure.
If TH stays. I don't see him going for Branthwaite or Amadou Onana. Both defensive beasts, but poor in passing/build up. TH is desperate for ballplaying CB's and C(D)M. De Jong, Pavard, Timber, Tapsoba, Todibo, Rice... all high volume ballplaying progressive passers... If TH goes, we also should stay away from them imo. Not even taking into account the extreme asking prices both have.
Liverpool won't go for André Trindade as Slot wants to bring Wieffer. Good swoop possible there.
Frimpong isn't 40, but 35 RC, he wants to move to Prem. Probably to City, but still potential imo.
Guirassy doesn't want to play second violin and he doesn't want to leave Germany.
Zirkzee for 35 is cheap for an excellent striker with a good profile. why not?
