Lino ain’t a defender. Just forced to play wingback
Was surprised to see him as a suggested LB 😅
"... if Maguire has a good Euro." *sad trombone*
Further proof that Statman Dave only looks at fbref profiles, not player games
Yh his analysis fell off tbh. Seems very lazy nowadays. Takes no consideration how stats can be inflated by how a team plays.
You seem a bit...I dunno, jealous?
@@Paddythefriendlykiwi Jealous for sharing an input and opinion which may benefit the content creator and relate with the viewers? its called an input. grow up
@@jamiemclellan238 now you seem angry. You ok mate?
The eye test is always better. You can watch a player for about 4-5 games and know that hes exactly what we need
I massively disagree about AWB. For some games you need a Dalot style right back that's great going forward but when you're up against world class wingers AWB is one of the best in the world at shutting them down, there's no way we would have won the FA Cup without him. This is the guy that completely pocketed MBappe for gods sake!
💯
Yea, having a solid player like Dalot who never gets injured, and having an ace in the hole like AWB that you can throw in to shut down the wing when necessary is, I'd imagine, a manager's dream.
Especially if you're winning after 60 minutes and the opposition make a change, and suddenly Dalot is getting overrun on the wing or something.
With two very different types of players in the same position like this you can really switch up the tactics, a lot more so than having two players in the same position, with exactly the same skillsets.
Dalot is so very overrated he is not the answer. Getting rid of AWB would be a massive mistake.
@@JoeBob79569 spot on
Can't keep a player on 200k for 3 games
Lino is a winger whcih is used as a wingback lol and why is noboy talking about Ederson from Atalanta
My thoughts exactly
Because he’s going to Liverpool.
@@FountainOfYoot he’s not fabrizio said Atalanta are only willing to sell one player which will be koopminers
Everybody talks about ederson
Fucking hell what did i just watch
It really depends on the style we want to play at the end of the day
I'll have a stroke if this happens
This squad buildup is horrendous. Selling a bunch of experienced players and replacing the with youth players or inexperienced people from other leagues because they look good "on fbref" is not how you should create a team. This "perfect transfer window" leaves us with a squad looking more like west ham's than City's.
Sell (or loan/leave for free) : Casemiro, Sancho, Pellistri, Lindelof(maguire if fee is fantastic) , Eriksen, Varane, martial, DVDB, Hannibal, MG
Buy ( in order of priority):
2 CBs: Yono/Todibo/Brantwhaite/Chaloba/Guehi/Scalvani,
2 CDM/CM: Onana/Wieffer/Fofana/Doue
Striker rotation: Toney/Guirassy (he'd be happy to sit on bench for United, and cheap release clause)
Winger: Olise
LB: Dumfries/Kerkez/Ait-Nouri
I think you missed the point.
We're broke.. we need to massively reduce huge wage bill and don't have the 400 million to spend according to your list.
He's trying to be realistic.. we're not winning anything next year but if we can do ok while transitioning.. that's a win..
I mean the list looks great but there are budgets and FFP. No chance we spend 350M
@@SuperSkillzSlick Trying to be realistic, the club just won't sell that many players this summer.
Antony will probably stay, for example. Wan-Bissaka possibly as well, especially if they don't sign a RB.
You'd hope they can sell Sancho, but I wouldn't be surprised if nobody comes in for him. Greenwood, hopefully also gets sold.
Realistically, Casemiro, Eriksen, Martial, van de Beek are getting sold, Lindelof and Maguire as well, if we're lucky (and if we have signings lined up).
Relying on kids won't get us anywhere, not everyone is Garnacho and Mainoo. The squad Dave built is honestly horrible, especially in the attacking positions.
We need a backup striker.
We need a right winger like Olise (or Nico Williams maybe). On the left we have Garnacho, and Rashford (who I'd gladly sell if we get a good offer - don't get me wrong, he's a good player but very, very rarely).
We need a DM, or possibly 2. But we can't just sign a random kid, and hope he turns out good. We need a young player, sure, but someone who's somewhat proven himself.
An addition to CM position would be great as well, though not a priority, especially since we're short on money.
We absolutely need 2 CBs. One proven CB, that can go right into the team, next to Martinez, and maybe another, younger CB who also has a bit of experience. Kambwala is there as an academy, youth option, maybe Shaw can fill in sometimes.
You're going to reduce the wage bill by huge amount, just by letting Martial, Varane, and Casemiro go. Combined, they were on 1mil per week, if not more.
@@RedDevilDog1207 I agree. Which is why it's "order of priority" 2 CBs, 1 DM and a striker is minimum. United is probably looking at a net spend of 100-150. You should be able to get around 80 if you sell well, so around 200m for 4 new signings is realistic.
Which is why, although i love Olise, i think it's the right move not go for him.
Well he did mentioned that INEOS plan is to purchase players whose age range is 25 years and below
you have lost your mind
The only thing ill do different is get more EPL proven player... 1st Onana shud be a priority... ill keep AWB massively underrated... utd would have lost the FA cup final if not for his lock down on Salah QF and Doku Final
agree on both counts
ONANA would be such a solid signing - Physical, athletic, tall, stamina & not bad on the ball.
But i'd keep Amrabat & buy Onana if Casemiro is being moved on
Keep AWB as he will be key in games against the top 6 & europe
Sell malacia and bring in a back up left back
Sell Varane (only because we know he is going) and buy Todibo
Sell Maguire and we can utilise Kambala in his place
Keep Jonny Evans
Sell Sancho bring back greenwood
Sell Anthony and bring in a new striker (Chiesa maybe?)
Greenwood & Amad RW
Rashford & Ganacho LW
Hojland & Chiesa ST
Bruno & Mount CAM
Mainoo & new signing for CM
Amrabat & Onana CDM
@@ANONNYMOMMYOnana isn't a good idea for all the reasons mentioned in the video. Fofana is a much better value option but I fear his price may rise after the Euros. Fofana with Amrabat backup makes sense

@@StatmanDave
My question is: Manchester City was at some point below United for many years. City climbed up by investing in world-class players and coaches, and they continue to seek more top talent, becoming the most feared team to face. Manchester United is among the world's richest teams, so why are they so frugal in investing in top players and coaches? United fans often talk about money being the issue, but it’s really not. United has the money to acquire rising stars and climb up like City did. This frugality boggles me; I’m starting to think Ronaldo was right.
I think you can tell who plays career mode and who actually understands premier league transfers. Dave literally said last season “we need to develop youth” and he’s right. Realistically United will be lucky to spend $130 mil this transfer window and his alternative is more realistic
Selling all players and buying only players that are 25 and under... where have I heard this before. 🤔 🤔 😂😂
Hi Statman, I really like your suggestions. You are definitely on the right track - but are the shot-callers?
A lot of technical players are available in various leagues that can fit in an offensive approach. The problem with united is we're obsessed with Pogba and Sancho kind of huge galactico signings and abandon building an identity
Thanks for the update Dave❤
This team finishes 12th at best. Don't disagree with the plan but this is a full long term rebuild. At least 5 years for this to pay off, how many of our young stars want to stay for that with no European football on the horizon?
Maxi Oyedele, Dan Gore, Toby Colleyer. I didn't hear mentions about them. You don't rate them?
Todibo is horrific in the air, if you press teams high and force them long you need center-backs that can win aerial duels. He would be massively targeted in the air. Terrible pick. Samuel Lino is a winger, he loses most of his 1-on-1s against dribblers he would get torn apart by players like Saka, Olise etc etc. Selling Maguire for £30m is a fantasy even on Football Manager, who can pay that much plus his wage? Why would he accept a huge pay cut when he only had 1 year extra he will just ride out the year and take the free transfer.
Yeah, everyone keeps saying Todibo, but it does worry me pairing him with 5”9 Martinez. Martinez is incredibly impressive in both aerial and ground duels for his size, but I’d still prefer a proper dominant defender next to him. The problem is that you’d struggle to find someone for Todibo’s quality at the same price. Tapsoba would be perfect, but I believe he’ll be about £25m more expensive.
I have to disagree with your Maguire point. Maybe because he’s on the last year of his contract, but he’ll want to play, and other clubs are always very interested in him. West Ham literally had a contract fully agreed with him last season for £30m, before he rejected it because he wanted to prove himself at United. Which he since has so, although he now only has 1 year left on his contract, keep in mind that they offered £30m for him when he was at his worst. He’s now been arguably our best CB when he’s played this season. West Ham weren’t the only club bidding for him, either. I’m certain that we will find someone who will pay £30m for him now, if not more, and I’m pretty sure that he’s already said that he wants to move elsewhere to start more games.
@@oscarjenkins7505 maybe you are right about Maguire I just find it hard to believe he’ll leave. ‘Prove myself’ sounds like a pr spin on I’d prefer to take another £10m a year. If he was on a lower wage I’d suggest they keep him I think Maguire is massively overhated. He’s good in the air and progresses the ball well.
I agree about Todibo, I love Facundo Medina at Lens I think he’s one of the best on the ball centre backs in the world for the price but I’d never suggest someone play him in a back 2 or 3 in the premier league. Going to be interesting to see who Man Utd go for as they need players in a lot of positions and not a lot of money.
This guy is saying wild things fr. Lino is closer to being a winger than he is to being a fullback. Does this guy watch these players at all or does he just using stats apps.
Thanks for the good content, is the £35m starting budget final or is it an estimate?
Its reported. £35m thats it.
Liked the first half of the video Dave, but with that squad you'd have, what happens when Rashford and Hojlund get injured at the same time? Then in our attack we're relying on inexperienced players and trying to push the likes of Bruno and Mount to the wing for McTominay to play centrally. Rashford, Garnacho and Amad competing for our starting wing spots is even worse than we had starting this season. Again, I like your suggestions at the back, but that attack has 8th place written all over it unless everything goes right, which we know it won't.
I agree with the sells, but I would add McTominay to that list also. I think he's a £40m asset for a bottom half Premier League team, maybe an Everton or a Wolves. I also think he's in that same bracket with Maguire and Sancho of someone we just have to move on and now is the time.
I actually think he's the perfect squad player for United. Neither Sabitzer or Amrabat were convincing in midfield (bar the last 3 or 4 games when Amrabat remembered how to play football again - after he had looked so bad, Utd decided not to buy).
No guarantee anyone else Utd could get for 40 would be as consistent.
Is he top class? No, not at all. But there are games where it's fine to start him, and some he'll be one of the better options.
I'd be more cautious about selling him.
Especially if Utd are upgrading 2-4 first team positions - enough turbulence.
PS. Seriously think another striker is needed. Centre back, and no. 6 as well, but one Hojlund injury away from...
How are we worried about the spine of the team yet again?
StatmanxDave : United has 40m budget.
Later: Total signings more than 150m 🙄
@@SrikkanthG Think he explained it with sales. Maybe have another watch?
Why is no one talking about Will Fish? He is a quality defender and can grow into a reliable player for United!
Dave is the Man City of football youtbers
Sell AWB ? To who City as a direct replacement for Kyle Walker? Who he's better than defensively, Is more press resistant than on the ball and is a better overall fit for an actual possession system?
For some nobody out of liga nos? Lol what nonsense
AWB is good 1v1, but is positioning isn't very good at all. And thats very important for a defender.
Are you saying that AWB is better than Walker in those aspects? Are you joking??
@@lexxihd5843 positioning? Lol I don't see the same problems you do with him positionally at all unfortunately. I think he's been our most consistent fullback off the ball since he joined this club. The 1 fullback I've always thought was terrible positionally was Luke Shaw but apparently everyone thinks he can be a back up center back now after his 3 horror show performances there earlier on in the season.
@@oscarjenkins7505 I think you're either joking, don't watch Awb enough or have some agenda against the lad for you to be genuinely asking me those questions. He's also a better combination player and about a decade younger than Kyle Walker. In a system where he isn't overlapping all game and he's tucking in as Walker does for City there's no better fullback in world football than AWB in 2024, im sorry but I'm not sorry.
@@ILKILO1Literally the opposite of everything you've just said is true
I like the idea of solidifying the defence and midfield. Get the quality and bodies in the squad in these areas, then next summer we can look at our attacking options and add where necessary. I think we've got to be patient this coming season. With Ineos coming in and restructuring the club management, in one or two years time the whole club will be in a better position, with a solid foundation both on and off the pitch.
Next season, look at the attack. Allow Williams and Wheatley the chance.
What about the homegrown quota?
Amazing video Statman Dave. I absolutely love your content and your passion. I will need to take a look at the players you mentioned, especially at right back and left back. Since statistics do not always tell the full story. But this could be a starting point.
The one player I feel we would need is a false 9 type of striker that will give United's attack a different dimension. Someone like a Jonathan David could be an option as well. Great video! 👏
Love Jonathan David. We should have bought him from Gent. Would take him now 100%.
What do the stats say about how sht onana is? Any stats on what his stoppage percentage is when the ball isn't shot directly at him? How often does he concede near post? Low shots?
Hey statty huge fan, but do you genuinely expect United to sell/loan 11 and buy 7 players in the same market? Isn't this a little bit unrealistic!?
They really need to.
Are u getting ur informations from tinder ?
Great video, our boy from FTD days has become a great content creator, well done man.
LETS GOOOOO
based on what they did in cup final, could united change their approach to have bruno as a false 9, and Hojland as an impact player? if so which players would best fit this? Could Frimpong fit this ?
Great as ever - thanks!

Academy ins(potential huge gamble):
-Shea Lacey
-Jack Fletcher
-James Scanlon
-Harry Amas( left back watch this kid next year!)
what about Shola Shoretire? He's been around the first team forever but never quite made it.
I am a bit confused as to how casemiro, Sancho and antony can bring money in, when they are being sold around the price the club still owes.
To my understanding those funds will be counting towards paying the remaining dept to their former guilds, nad cant be funneled into spending
Really appreciate your work on this... but why does everyone always assume we will carry on playing in a 4231 formation...
ive waited for your man united summer video for ever
califiori is very interesting. He is the kind of flexible players in terms of thinking and positions playable, that Ten Hag likes
Santos is available for 15mil, then united put in a bid and he's suddenly 70mil
I feel signing an older striker is important for several reasons. Firstly he has to be proven and ready to hit the ground running. That's because Hojlund, while he's had a decent first season, is relatively young and still learning the trade. That means we can't expect him to be our 20+ goalscorer next season. Somebody else need to score those goals so we can't afford to have another striker who needs time to learn the trade. Secondly, an experienced player can be good mentor for Hojlund and Wheatley. Thirdly, an older player is more willing to share game time as he cannot play every minute so he won't stunt the progress of our young strikers.
New Wages calculation is closer 25m not 117m per yeaer - its more like saving 100m per year
This reminds me of a job I had when finance made decisions for operational functions....
ahhahahhaha
Strongly disagree with the left-back Shaw since 2021 has played 47, 30, 47 games per season. Shaw and Malacia at left back are both good enough with Amass coming through the academy, why waste money?. United need a centre back, a defensive midfielder, a right back to replace AWB and a striker. 4 players. Which is realistic as United can't spend that much due to FFP without selling. Anybody thinking United are buying more than 6 players are in for a shock.
The only issue is fitness. If they can be fit for most of the season, then sure, they're decent options.
The issue is, both of them have been injured for most of the season.
BRO, WHERE WERE SHAW AND MALACIA THIS SEASON??????????????
@@josiahrhobi8764Where was half the squad this season? Licha was injured for almost as long as Shaw but i don’t see fans getting on his back. Shaw is far too good a left back to stop playing him. There’s a reason why even having been injured so much of this season he is still in that England squad
Agree completely although I think it'll be just 3 first choice signings - if 4, the 4th will be one for the future.
Idea that we are one Hojlund injury away from playing Wheatley makes me nervous - who fair enough hasn't had a lot of minutes, but didn't look ready.
Maybe he is, but there's no solid evidence for that level of risk and why put that pressure on his shoulders?
pull your head out of your ass mate, Shaw has missed 44% of his United career. That is horrendous and leaves us down to a back up. He cannot be relied upon simple
Instead of overthinking it, why not opt for a ‘five out, five in’ strategy. Man United usually only purchase around four-five players per summer anyway.
Excluding those who are already definitely gone, such as Varane and Martial.
Sell: Sancho, Greenwood, Shaw, Lindelof. It’s unlikely that Antony, Rashford, Maguire etc will be sold - but any one of those could be reasonable.
Purchase: Todibo, Guehi, M. Gutierrez, Hjulmand, Toney.
Going in to a season with the potential lineup below like be nice:
Onana
Dalot. Todibo. Lisandro. Gutierrez
Mainoo. Hiulmand
Bruno
Amad. Garnacho
Hojlund
With bench options of: Toney, Rashford, Antony, Mount, Amrabat (pending), Kambwala, Wan Bissaka etc it’s not bad.
Dalot was arguably our player of the season, we don’t need another right back.
Wan bissaka is terrible on the ball. We can't be a high possession team with him in the squad. We definitely need one
It is d coach that doesn't know how to use him....let him sit back with CB to make a 3man rest defense find a 8 that will overlap for RWF@@peterparker_78
Dave,
gun to the head and/or Hojlund gets injured in pre-season and is out for most of the season, what striker do you buy?
You buy a stirker if that happens 100%.
@@StatmanDave Ah of course, but do any jump out to you? Obviously the big names are not an option. But any European/South American equivalents of a Solanke out there?
Lino again a flexible player in terms of thinking and positions playable, that Ten Hag likes and would enable both quick transitions
Nice work Dave. In midfield, what about tobias collyer. Could he be integrated into the team?
Think there are better players in the academy like Finley McAllister.
Love your work Dave. Keep it up.
I want Vangelis Pavlidis for up front. He's 25, I don't think he'd mind being a squad player and he's scored consistently in the Eredivisie over several seasons.
I'd also be interested in a scouting report on Joel Piroe and Jobe Bellingham.
For midfield I'd take Alan Varela. He'd link up well with Licha.
Jobe is meh, still young but not Utd quality
Pavlidis is just the next Vincent Janssen man, don't fall into the Eredivisie top scorer can do a job in the Prem-trap. The last that was moderately successful was Bony over a decade ago and the last that excelled was Suarez almost 15 years ago. Since them Haller, Jahanbakhsh, Weghorst, Janssen, Depay and Luuk de Jong have not succeeded in England, and before Suarez the likes of Alves and Kezman failed to make an impression as well despite being among the most impressive goal scorers in the Eredivisie.
hey man, personaly i appreciate your videos. my go-to after new signings and possible formations. Fofana Will be a steal!
I get the point about Olise. But Rashford, garnacho and dialo have not provided enough assist to Hojlan so what are you suggesting we do?
Personal Opinion:
Sell- AWB,Lindelof,Greenwood,Sancho,Varane,Casemiro,Eriksen,VDB,Pellistri,Martial
Buy-
Todibo(Can play as back up RB as well)
Diamande- Not sure on his pricing, saw some reports he could come in cheap
LB- If real madrid goes for LB,we can try get Fran Garcia for loan.
Ait nouri is a good option but unsure on his defensive work, Robinson can be a good option.
Will keep Maguire because we need someone good aerially as back up especially if we play physical teams.
CDM- Don’t see great options in the market but I guess Onana would be a great addition given his age and prem experience especially we need someone aerially good to win duels as well as cover ground( but price is too high).
Would love to have Vitinha if possible 🥲 could be a great competition to Maino as well can play as a 6 if required.
RW- It will be tough to sell Antony for a good price so I would keep him and Diallo. With the sale of Greenwood and Sancho we could get Brahim Diaz as I dont think he would get much time in Real with the arrival of Mbappe,Guler and Endrick.
Striker Back up- Would go for Guirassy as I liked his link up play and would be a different profile to what Rasmus offers-he would come pretty cheap as well.Wheatley would be a good third choice,as we need to have more depth in that position like Old United squads.
Rabiot can be a good option in midfield as he is a free agent and can play both 6 and 8 or get Amrabat for a lesser price.
Does this line up get united in trouble with registration rules?
Where does that team finish next season?
Relegation
7 transfers needed. Aim for £200M in sales, which is possible if you are ruthless, and spend £350M with £150M net.
Zirkzee (£34M release clause), Olise (£60M release clause), Joao Neves (£100M), André (£25M), Aït-Nouri (£35M), Mika Mármol (£20M), and Leny Yoro (£45M).
Great video man, really like the analysis and the transfer suggestions! Are you sure about Sancho, though? There have been reliable sources stating that his character is flawless. As far as I have seen (as a German watching the Bundesliga every week and the CL games) he has shown exactly the type of form again that ManU signed him for and Dortmund reached the CL final with him. Maybe you and the club should reconsider this one
I agree, there are so many talented players that won't break the bank.
Ethan Williams and Wheatley are nowhere near ready to play for the first team!! Imagine Hojlund gets a serious injury and you are left with a youth player to lead the line!! Crazy! A new striker is an absolute essential.
I don’t know why you lots are calling out Statsman…glad to see someone talk about different players, every other channel talks about the same players…Onana or the Benfica kid in midfield, Bastoni, Diamonde, Branthwaite in defense…Oliseh, Sesko….this is probably the first transfer show considering our budget, the need to stop getting ripped off by other clubs, looking to other European clubs for talents and signing young players that you can mold while still keeping the wages on a DL, so what he uses stats to make his decisions.
oh God ive been waiting for this vid
Admirable that this rebuild wasnt full of marquee signings but we can’t start the season with Wheatley as back up 9. He needs a loan and Hojlund needs genuine competition. Good vid overall though but we’ll never sign & sell that many in one summer.
Maguire is our 5th best defense. He's really poor. Why do yall back him so much, beyond English bias?!
We got a squad with players suited to different style of play some are comfortable with counter attack some possession based and some with defensive players all bought over the years for different managers and most of them are good in their own but we should sign players who are more suited to manager’s style of play irrespective of stats only then we can judge erik ten hag if he don’t succeed with with his playing style players
Utd are a soccer franchise and they need to do what's best for their business. The players and managers are employees. Just like they don't interfere in our business or have a say in our lives.. we, the people, shouldn't interfere in theirs. For instance, I don't see people comment or discuss who they should hire for their marketing or R&D department.
What's missing here is that players that perform in lower leagues (see Antony) dont always make the jump in quality, and thus basing recruitment strategy entirely on foreign youth prospects is dangerous. We can do some of this but we also need to bite the bullet and sign EPL experience like Olise.
Big difference between other top 5 leagues and the Netherlands/Belgium etc. Plus Netherlands has its own unique profile as a league which translates less to the premier league
Best analysis I've seen! 👏🙏
The Martinez part is so true he’s so definitive to what we do as a team and echoed by Guardiola is noting short of extremely complimentary. I like the player you’ve put in as a replacement but for me Mika Marmol would be a like for like and better still could learn from Martinez. Would love to hear thoughts on that player?
Nice work brother. You made valid points. I like a few of the players mentioned. Before we start thinking offensively we should reinforce our biggest issues which were defensively.
Priority signing must be a RCB, RB, LCB/LB. Then look for a CDM/CM once we slowly start selling big salary players.
Take care sir.
Idk how they don’t have more players coming through the youth academy like Mainoo. If Manchester United wanted to sign any of the best young players at most teams when they’re like 14-15 they would most likely get them just cos they’re Manchester United *Gary Neville voice*
Great content
Your suggested squad is interesting. It's certainly not going to challenge for the Premier League title (even if City get the punishment they deserve) - but I don't think anyone realistically expects that. That squad has a reasonable shot at finishing in the top 4, but that will depend to a large extent on Rashford regaining form, and both he and Garnacho getting a lot better at feeding Hojlund. I don't know if that squad would start as favourites to win the Europa League, but they would be near the top.
Defensively, if Martinez stays fit and has a decent partner, I think a lot of United's defensive woes will disappear. Offensively, Hojlund needs much better service than he received this season, and we need wingers who will get behind the defence and produce decent crosses into the box far more often than currently happens. Most of our wingers prefer cutting inside and looking for a shot for themselves, rather than providing for another player.
Good team I think although I think slightly unrealistic considering who we've been linked to.This is wht id do. First I'm keeping Lindelof over Evans keeping Shaw as the starting LB who can play at CB if needed. I'm promoting Amass like u did. At 6 I'm signing tht Wolves player we've been linked to. I'm selling Mctominay and maybe promoting (Not sure) but MOUNT as back up 10. I am signing Olise and Moving Garnacho back to the left with him as the starter at the beginning of next season with Amad as back up. And finally I'd sign Sesko or Zirkzee whilst also promoting Wheatley
(Anything I don't mention means I'd do the same as Dave except number. 8 role I dunno wht to do there)
There's no way you just showed us a player with a €100,000,000 release clause 😂
I was ready to have my concerns but it's good, too many youth products though. McTominay has to leave, he's not good enough and he's pure profit. Pellistri was missing and ETH is looking to use Collyer at 6 next year. They need a young striker/winger capable of hold-up play. Nice T-shirt.
Wheatly should go to the loan rather than being back up for Hojlund. We need to sign a profile striker from the small club who has goal-scoring ability but will shed blood and sweat to get a chance to represent United.
I see the possibility of Todibo, Amass, Fofana (he's not really a CDM) & Cala but others....I don't think we will do that again especially how bad the season end up. While Frimpong would be possible with a trade off domino from Olise < AWB+ cash with Crystal Palace. Over relying on youth is really a dangerous game
This team will be lucky to finish 8th Dave. Just saying… Poor attacking options
It's interesting to go watch Dave's recommendations in previous years. Yes, there's a few duds as no-one has a 100% strike rate, but just some of the names recommended before they moved to bigger clubs were:
Haaland, Konate, Osimhen, Fernandes, Gabriel, Rice, Pau Torres, Malen, Maddison, Fabinho, Botman and Grealish.
Fair play. If only Utd had listened more...
I don't think, we should look to sign Front players "Forwards "this summer because our main problems are, we need Two Young defenders, atleast one DM and LB for this summer
Bit of a left field signing, but why not Ryan Sessognon on a free? Send Malacia out on loan and have Amass compete
Few things:-
Firstly, we won't sell Antony. I'd be happy if we do but I think it makes more sense to send him out on a season long loan to one of the top Portuguese teams. Hopefully he'll have a successful season and we'll then be able to sell him for more next Summer.
Secondly, why allow Eriksen to leave on a free!? His contract doesn't expire until next Summer. If our new recruitment team have got anything about them they should be able to sell him even if it's only for £5 million.
When it comes to Dave's signing suggestions, I only really agree with Fofana, Todibo and possibly Tiago Santos (I haven't seen enough of him). I don't think we'll sign the centre back from Bologna. I'd like to see us try and sign Murillo from Forest given their financial troubles.
I'm not familiar with Doué. I think I'd prefer us to either sign Amrabat permanently or sign Rabiot on a free. We need more experience and leadership in our side!
As for the attackers, I like Garnacho and Amad but we need to sign somebody to compete with Rashford! I've always rated Mbeumo. If we could sign him for less than Olise then I would.
Lastly, we do need to sign another striker. We can't just rely on Rasmus and Wheatley! Sesko would be ideal but I don't think we'll get him. Jonathan David's contract at Lille expires next Summer. Maybe trying to sign him in a cut price deal as a back-up to Rasmus would make sense.
Can you do one for Juventus or Ac Milan ?
Santos is a very good full back i watched him more than 10 times this season
Statman you should look at Melvin bard from nice he's a LB
With Years of City breaking FFP, how is FFP preventing us from transfers
So we scored only 57 pl goals last season, we sell Greenwood, Sancho and Antony, with Rashford very inconsistent and our wingers never producing nearly enough, Garnacho selfish most times, mr Statman says we shouldn’t sign any wingers😂😂😂 the state of these tacticos man🤣🤣
Nor any strikers. Makes no sense. 😊
It’s mind blowing 🤣🤣
how many of those 57 goals were from that 3 ?😂 i don’t agree that we shouldn’t sign any new wingers nor a striker , oh no we definitely should , but i honestly don’t think selling those lot would be a dumb choice
@@anthonyolweny9367 my problem is he wants us to sell them without replacements🤣
No way they are selling Antony. I do think he can be ok next season but I am in the minority there and we shall see. Sancho and Greenwood clearly werent involved anyway. While a replacement for Sancho would be a good idea I doubt United buy another winger. A second striker is a must though.
I generally agree with everything behind the forward line, personally I would like to see rashford be back up to hojlund down the middle with mount and garnacho holding up the left and bringing in xavi to compete with diallo
Leny yoro n hiroki ito my choice.
Keep aws as backup for certain game
This video should be titled: how to get united finishing bottom half and turn fans fully against ineos
If you want to save some costs can do Mario Hermoso on a free instead of Caliofiri and do either Mazraoui or Boey from Bayern on a loan with option to buy. I am assuming that for free agents and bargains the 25 years old rule doesn't apply. For left back Guttierez from Girona has a release clause for one around 15 Mil or so. Or just don't sign one once you have a LCB that can cover left back. For backup DM Ndidi and with the deal falling through Betis Sevilla Rodriguez are available on a free or can go for Collyer. Rabiot as a backup to Mainoo or just go for Gore/Hannibal. This frees up room for Olise and Guirassy. I love promoting youth but has to be balanced out. I would pretty much sell all you mentioned hehe. You forgot Hannibal and some others (Pellistri) for bringing in money.
You say AWB is one of the best defensive fullbacks in the world then its really a dumb move to sell him. With the general cost cutting buy strategy of INEOS, I think we save money by not selling AWB (fullbacks are getting over-priced recently) but;
1. Convert him into a CB
2. Play him in a set up were he can fall back to be the 3rd or 2nd Center Half and not involved in much attacking. His speed and tackling can be useful in a mid to high block as well.
I really hope we don't sell him and I think salary wise he is an OK load (confirm this).
With the limited budget we have we need to sign quality loan players.
I’d not spend money on RB AND LB.
Get Juan Miranda for free, he’s a good tall fullback
Get Manual Ugarte from PSG who hasn’t settled there for around 60
Get Calafiori/Lucumi for LCB, Todibo for RCB for 80 mil on both.
Get Wilfried Ndidi for free and sign Amrabat for 15. We can go in and buy Raphinha from Barca with a swap for Greenwood. And get a Memphis depay for free. With this we have a spend of 155 Mil and we sign 8 players
If United seriously want to compete top 4 next season they should sign 2 key players. Joao Palinha & Pedro Neto
RW: Pedró Neto
DM: Mats Wieffer Feyenoord
CM: Èderson Atalanta
Even if ETH is sacked, i have a lot of respect for him, dealing with Ronaldo, Sancho (who were not his signings), abysmal United Board, horrific media(mainly Shearer, Linekar are awful pundits), i hope he gets a great club, who supports him not like united
