30 Minute Resistance Band Full Body Pilates Workout- Tone arms, Legs and Abs

- This session is a 30 minute full Body resistance band workout to tone arms, legs, core and butt. It's a mixed ability session to both strengthen and stretch the body. Using the band we will work through the whole body, upper and lower, as well as lots of core work, as well as find new and fun ways to both challenge and support our pilates practice. Great all over workout for toning the body. This is one to do 2-3 times a week to keep fit, flexible and strong.
In response to the Coronavirus I teach a live class every Friday at 10am BST to keep people feeling motivated as well as mindful of taking care of their body at this time. All the exercises are low impact with an emphasis on building core strength and flexibility. This is Week 76 of our Lockdown sessions, do check out my other livestreams on the channel!

First resistance band workout since my op, so nice to be back doing the leg curls, and band work.
I like these types of workouts. One of my shoulders is higher than the other, so traditional weightlifting exercise is painful for me - but this was perfect!

I absolutely love using the resistance band, as I just can’t use weights, so added this on top of your 40 min workout. I have just started doing Pilates and absolutely love it and your explanations have helped me get the exercises and breathing correct. So thank you 💕
I asked for some bands for Christmas from my daughter and have done this for the first time today. Loved it. I will repeat it a few times to get the technique better, but please post more to help me get the best from the bands! Thanks for all the variety and great teaching.

I Love this! In the time that I took pilates in the 3D world I was able to take some reformer classes. I can't fit a reformer in my apartment, so I am so Glad she is doing this with the resistance band! This reminds me of the reformer surely it mimics some of the movements without having to go out and buy a reformer! LOVE it!
Hello Marie, great point and you’re absolutely right. I created this workout to mimic reformer movements in a safe and effective way. I trained comprehensively in both Pilates Apparatus and Pilates Matwork so enjoy creating new and interesting ways to adapt the method when working out at home 😊 So glad it’s working for you 😊

Hi Rachel, tried this workout today and loved it. I love the roll up with the band one of my favourites! My band is green, medium I think...I can certainly feel the effects already 😀

Rachel, thanks for the great class. Your instructions are excellent. I like the standing class, the back class and the resistance band class. My next attempt will be shoulders. They get stiff from sitting and driving and,well, life.

Rachel, the curl up with the band helped a lot, especially being a senior with core mussels not as tight as the younger generation. It might also have something to do with a neck infusion?! Nevertheless, this was a great workout that a enjoyed very much.

Thank you so much for taking your time to share these classes and your positivity. I am almost 66yrs and try to keep active. Do you have any exercise to help lose a bit of weight. To lose weight is always a combination of eating a little less and exercising a little more. I’d recommend you add one of my standing workouts each day- particularly the ones that aren’t for Seniors as you’ve made great progress and I think you’re ready for it. I’ve just started to do your Pilates , I’m trying different ones to see how i get on. I’m 71 and have had 3 falls ones after another, my hips well to be honest everywhere hurts, can you please tell me what or which is best to follow and I will subscribe.
I enjoyed your leg workout ,my problem is when you do the swimming lifting the legs lying on your tummy, I cannot get my legs very high they are just off the floor yours go high up .
Hello Diane, please don’t worry about that. We’re all different and the fact you can get your legs off the floor is good enough, in fact it’s very good so keep going. You’re doing really well 😊

The movements and guidance are so good --it is a shame that every 2=3 minutes I had to stop because of all the ads. I've never seen so many in such a short time span. Is this really necessary? It basically ruined what would have otherwise been an delightful session.
