    It was a long day. We actually did cast Beast Caller in those last couple of games. Just didn't really get to trigger the ability, so it didn't stand out. 🙂

    When mono green is on the play and curves out, it is pretty unstoppable with all the haste. I like the 4/4 death touch ward guy as well. I don't have oddity so.

      Are you thinking Axebane Ferrox? Keep the opponents GY empty (Cease / Desist, Scrapgorger) and unless they have a sweeper, he's a problem

    it just happens the shuffler can be moody that day, it once happened some random 28 land deck, 15 turns againts a removal deck and never got my 3rd land hahah LMAO

      Not as much as one would thing. I've played some green lists with out. Honestly, the reach has often been more important than the land fetching. The shift likely moves to some combination of Freestrider, Polukranos, Colossaldactyle, or Railyway Brawler. But we also have a whole new set coming. And there's almost always a way to make the mainstay single color decks work.

    Control player: 1) Draw card, do nothing. 2) Direct damage on your (played cards) 3) Counterspell. 4) Board wipe. 'Man, I'm so good at Magic'.

    The problem with arena is that the turns are too long, and the games are too short. (Bit of a conundrum).
    Three rules I would propose: i) Whoever goes first can play a land and that's IT. If the land has an effect, fine, but no: creatures, instants, sorceries, et al. ii) If by turn 3 a player has not attempted to "engage the board" (Cast a permanent) they get a warning 'You must engage the board w/in two turns'. If by turn 5, they still have not attempted to engage the board - they lose the game. iii) Turn length is as follows: 1) 5 Seconds. 2) 10 Seconds 3) 20 Seconds 4) 25 Seconds. 5+) 45 Seconds. NOTE - that's for your ENTIRE TURN.
    Now, if your netdecked "infinite combo" doesn't resolve in 45 seconds, you don't lose the game - you pass the turn.

      This idea seems very clunky and generally just poor game design. It's 100% fine to have a favored play style or not like other decks for any reason, but you're basically just trying to soft ban decks that you don't like but are otherwise a completely legitimate way to engage with the game. Not to mention that your rules just... Don't work? "Permanent" is a really strange distinction to make when you can staple any type of ability onto permanents that makes them into sorcery speed spells and erode the stack as part of the game
