  • My small electric lawn mower has been updated. The new battery LiFePO4 24v 15Ah is a LOT better than the old Lead-Acid batteries that lasted for only 15 min.
As i tested the new battery i run the mower for 1,5 hour. Then i got tierd and stopped, but the battery was not empty!
I also have modified the chain tensioner. No more jumping chain.
The mower can run a lot faster than the low speed in the video.

Nice! Good job with the battery. Yes, 15 minutes with your first battery was pretty low.
With an hour and a half I could mow my whole yard. Thanks for posting.

Hi Palle. I have had no problems with water on any of my motors. And i sometimes use them in moisture, and sometimes wet, conditions. I buy almost everything from China........

Have you experimented with different clip rates? By having a separate drive motor versus reel motor you could fine tune your reel speed while varying your traction(walking) speeds.
    Very neat project

Hi, do you have any experience with water resistance for the DC motor. Do you buy from China or do you use well known manufacturers? Thank you for showing us your mower. Thanks, Palle

    Nice work.
I was wondering if you know if it is possible to convert a corded electric snow thrower into a battery operated snow thrower. It is currently at 120V 20A snow thrower but I hate dealing with the cord. Can it be converted to run on batteries instead?
